"It is a hotel closest to Siena city center and has a good location in many ways. It was very convenient when traveling by car as there was a great parking lot. The staff are all very friendly... I plan to stay here again..."

Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghesi Hotels in Siena

Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghesi

"The whole house had a nice ambiance, looked luxurious, and had a great location with a good breakfast. However, the appliances in the room (one was the refrigerator, and another, I don't know what it was, made a very loud noise) all night, which disturbed my sleep. Another big problem was that for those driving, parking requires reservations; you must contact the hotel in advance. Their front desk doesn't open until 3 PM, and we didn't receive any prior notice. We stopped before reaching the ZTL restricted area, called, and they said we could drive in, only to find out later that we entered through the wrong gate, resulting in a ticket of about 80!"

"It was better than I expected. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped, especially the picturesque scenery outside the window. You can feel the natural scenery of Tuscany without leaving the house. The breakfast was also very rich, especially the warm and polite staff. As soon as I arrived at the breakfast area, they asked me what drinks I needed, which made me feel at home. Later, I wanted to make tea, and they quickly gave me a set of tea sets with warm water. It was very heartwarming ❤️ I will recommend this hotel to my family next time I come to Siena!"

"Another hotel in an old building. My research wasn't perfect beforehand. I didn't realize this hotel was located in the old town; cars can't drive in, but you can park elsewhere. The hotel provides a map. Pushing my luggage up from outside the city was really tiring, as it was all uphill, taking about ten minutes. The location is indeed excellent; Siena Cathedral is right next door. This is the second hotel in Italy where I got three keys! Haha, Italian hotels have so many keys! The mini elevator is only for luggage; you have to climb stairs, thankfully only two floors. It's a winding path through four or five doors—very medieval, isn't it? I booked a two-bedroom room. The room and bathroom were large, and the bedding was the most comfortable I've ever had. My mother's room had a problem with the air conditioning; it was cold. I had my own room, which was very warm. The shower water pressure was great, very good. The street is right outside the window. It's quiet at night with few people. In the morning, I opened the window and saw parents taking their children to school; the old town felt real at that moment. I stayed one night; Siena is perfect for a cirywalk. It was wonderful."

"This was an absolutely wonderful Italian hotel. Past positive reviews all rang true for us. Staff was attentive, helpful, and offered excellent support for Americans who don’t speak Italian. Room was clean and functional. Common area lounge was interesting and spacious for breakfast and late night, and had an exceptional view. Food and drink were good. All in all, this was an A+ experience for us at a reasonable price. "

"I had a wonderful stay. The location was magnificent, just steps from Piazza del Campo. The wonderful Amina was wonderful, kind, and smiling. The room was impeccably clean, completely renovated, and equipped with every comfort (for example, slippers and a hairdryer with a diffuser, which, for someone with curly hair like me, is a real plus). The place was very quiet despite its central location, and the bed was really comfortable. The only downside: the external elevator and the landing to get to your floor. The first trip was strange, but then you get used to it... just so you don't have to climb the stairs! The building is old, so you can't expect too much; in fact, the elevator really added that little something extra to our pleasant Siena experience. All in all, a truly wonderful experience."

Relais la Corte dei Cavalieri ★★★
"It seems they only accept cash for city tax (maybe it depends on the front desk staff?). Even though I paid the city tax at check-in, they couldn't confirm it because it was a cash payment, and I had to wait a little. However, the front desk staff at check-out were very kind and helpful, so I was satisfied. The room was clean."

"The best hotel experience we have ever had. The rooms are awesome, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the pools and spa are perfect, and the prices are reasonable. Only on point to bear in mind, you must have a vehicle because you will either walk or get a taxi that will ask for 100+€."

Hotel Alma Domus ★
"A very good hotel with a great location, right at the entrance to Siena's old town, just minutes from the bus terminal for the Firenze-Siena route. If you want to go to the train station, the bus stop is a short walk away. The receptionist was very friendly, and the breakfast selection was plentiful, including handmade coffee. The room's walls, a beautiful combination of brick and white, were lovely. We booked a room with a balcony offering views of the Duomo and the city's charming architecture. A restaurant not far from the hotel was a filming location for the Korean drama "How to Translate Love," and the hotel's door even appeared in the show. If you're visiting the city because of "How to Translate Love," don't miss this hotel. The only downside is the slightly poor soundproofing, which seems to be a common problem with older buildings. During my stay, I heard loud noises in the hallway around 1 AM, but normal conversation volume wasn't bothersome. If you're bothered by this, you might want to bring earplugs. I really like the city of Siena, and I am very grateful to the hotel staff. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next time I travel to Siena."

"The hotel is very well located. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, looking out for our comfort and recommending places to visit. The hotel rooms have somewhat dated furniture and decor. The common room is lovely, with a small balcony. Everything was very clean."
