"Overall, our stay was good, especially considering that the main purpose of the trip was to relax and enjoy the thermal baths. In that sense, the hotel delivered a pleasant experience. However, communication before arrival was a weak point. Until the very last moment, no one contacted me via Trip.com messages. This was disappointing, especially because I booked the stay as a gift for my elderly parents and wanted to stay in close contact with the hotel before check-in to avoid any stress or misunderstandings. The room itself was excellent — spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful view of the surroundings. One small but noticeable detail was missing: there was no electric kettle in the room, and no tea bags available, which would have been appreciated. The most stressful moment happened on the first day at breakfast. Only my father was registered in the system, and my mother was not allowed to enter initially, as if she were not part of the booking. This caused unnecessary stress for my parents. Both of their surnames were clearly provided during the reservation, so this situation was quite unexpected. Breakfast itself was very good, which is what you would expect given the price level. In general, the overall impression is positive — the stay was enjoyable and relaxing. My main recommendation is to improve communication and booking accuracy, especially when guests are traveling as a family or when the stay is booked as a gift."

"We had lunch today at the Hôtel Les Bains in Spa, and the contrast between the setting and the experience was simply astounding. The place is undeniably beautiful. But that's where the positives end. The welcome was barely adequate, lacking warmth and genuine attention. We ordered an aperitif (a beer and a glass of white wine): a 15-minute wait, even though the dining room had barely seven customers and only six staff members. Upon arrival, we received a tiny glass of white wine and a beer served without any accompaniment whatsoever—not even a peanut. For an establishment of this caliber, this is already incomprehensible. The lunch menu is of a very basic brasserie standard, completely out of step with the image of a 4- or even 5-star hotel. But the prices are certainly on par with luxury… even surpassing it. A Milanese cutlet for €38? Seriously? The worst part is the wine list, which is utterly absurd. No red wine under €50. When we dared to point out this discrepancy, the waitress confidently replied that the wine list had been revised by a Parisian sommelier and that the establishment was targeting an affluent clientele. This argument is not only inappropriate but, above all, ridiculous given the quality offered. We nevertheless tried a bottle at €65, thinking we might find a compromise. After checking, we discovered it's available online for around €14. It's normal for a restaurant to apply a markup—but this is pure and simple abuse. And to top it all off, the wine wasn't even good. In short: a superb setting, but a disastrous experience, marked by slow service, unjustified pretension, and prices completely disconnected from the reality of the food and wine. Avoid at all costs."

"I was nervous about booking this hotel after reading the reviews, but went for it anyway. What a great hotel. We were on a motorbike tour and had been delayed en route, so arrived after reception was supposed to be closed. Not only had they emailed us instructions, but also stayed on later so they were there when we arrived at about 8pm. We didn't get the lady's name but huge thanks to her - we were tired and stressed when we arrived, so it made such a difference for someone to be there. There is parking, but just be aware it's on a hill which can be steep, so make sure you park accordingly on a bike! The room was fairly basic but exactly what we needed - an amazing shower, comfortable beds, air con, and space for motorbike gear. We were in an external block. The only annoying thing is that the bathroom light is on a motion sensor and is very bright, so if you need to go during the night it's quite blinding. We ate at the restaurant for dinner - although expensive, the food was amazing and delicious, and the waitress really friendly with great service. We had breakfast which was also delicious. We only had pastries and fruit, but it was lovely and fresh. We were offered eggs/omelettes. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Spa, perfect for what we needed."

"Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The hotel feels very old and dated, and the room was not particularly comfortable. The bedding was poor and the blanket was not suitable or comfortable. Because of the age and lack of sound insulation, we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms, including in the middle of the night, which made it difficult to sleep. The lift was also extremely small, noisy and honestly quite uncomfortable and scary to use. The bathroom and overall facilities also feel like they are in need of updating and refurbishment. What made the experience more disappointing was the price. The hotel was quite expensive considering the condition, comfort and overall standard of the facilities. We expected a much better experience for what we paid. The only real positive point is the prime location, which is very convenient for exploring Spa and getting around the city."

"A fabulous small hotel with only 7 bedrooms and a high standard of customer service, you feel valued as a guest here. Our room on the second floor was very spacious and had a small balcony. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Thierry, the host was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice including home-made waffles! Guests at the hotel had the use of a large lounge and outdoor seating on a wrap-around terrace, which we made use of whilst enjoying drinks from an 'honesty' bar. The hotel has a good location and it is walkable to the town centre although the route back is all uphill! There is plenty of parking and the location also good for exploring the area. Very much recommend."
