"Very clean and confirmed. Light switches and outlets by head board. Pool was nice, sometimes it is heated. Office staff super nice. Even though i checked out they still let me from same day and use the lobby bathroom to change. If my room hadn't already been cleaned they would have let me wash off but wasn't a big deal to me. Walking right outside there are plenty of places to eat and xijie west street is a straight shot about 10min walk from here. They offer mopeds to rent as well but i didn't used that service."

"This hotel is excellent! The greenery is lovely, the service is great, and the rooms are very clean. They even offer a special travel photography service, which includes outfits and photo editing – the pictures turned out really beautiful. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offer fantastic views. The hotel also rents out electric scooters, making it super convenient to get around for meals and sightseeing. The location is also perfect, right next to the 'Romantic Show' and the Ten-Mile Gallery, and there's a pier nearby where you can take a bamboo raft. It was a wonderful hotel experience!"

VVoyauraThe hotel was absolutely stunning. The room was big and super clean with amazing river and mountains views! Hotel is situated in a quiet area which makes it nice spot for long walks with beautiful views. The service at the hotel was excellent. Very polite and they helped us with all the requests. We’ve been welcome with some fruits and in the morning we enjoyed delicious breakfast.
The only downside was the gym as it states in the description the gym is available but the hotel doesn’t have one as it was converted to the tea house. it didn’t affected our stay however it’s a little misleading.
I would definitely recommend to stay and I will surly be back. Thank you for such a pleasant stay 😍☺️

唯一美中不足的是健身房——虽然描述中提到有健身房，但实际上酒店并没有，因为它被改造成了茶室。虽然这并未影响我们的入住体验，但确实有些误导。
我绝对推荐大家入住，而且我一定会再来。感谢你们让我度过如此愉快的假期！

MMarvin ZacariasWow, my first ever trip to Yangshuo, and it was spectacular. I had a lot of hotels to choose from, but I’m glad I picked this place. It’s close to West Street and a beautiful park. For the price, it’s amazing!
The breakfast isn’t a buffet—it’s rice noodles, a half sandwich, watermelon, dumplings a hard-boiled egg, and sweet potato.(see picture) It’s filling but not exciting. The main thing I liked was the coffee machine. You can drink coffee to your heart’s content in their canteen, which looks so pretty and modern. The room is clean too, with a nice bed and a good mountain view. Plus, there are VIP shows and movies! And I have to say, this was amazing for us because, unfortunately, during our stay in Yangshuo, it was raining all day. So we watched Zootopia and other Disney movies for free—so comfortable!The shower pressure is strong, and the soundproofing is amazing—literally like magic. When we first entered the room, the window was left open, and we heard so much traffic outside. Then we closed the window, and all of that was gone. I loved that!
Now for the downsides: There’s a weird flaw with the shower door—it’s so small, and the door is designed to push in instead of pull, which is strange. The shower head gets stuck on the door, so it’s a bit cramped. We turned on the ”Do Not Disturb” button for our room, and from the outside, you could clearly see it was on properly, but the housekeepers decided to clean our room anyway. Inside our room, it made us feel a bit awkward, as they had a little box with a QR code that sold adult toys and condoms 😶
Other than that, it was a comfortable two-day stay in Yangshuo. I would stay here again. The service at the front desk was nice too—the two ladies were helpful and explained a lot about Yangshuo and the hotel’s amenities. They even helped us book a bus to Guilin train station. They were nice and helpful. Thank you!

GGuilianduduvs66This is a beautiful hotel, and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel itself is a scenic spot; walking around, it's lush with trees, and you can smell different flowers. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds, surrounded by greenery, feeling like I was sleeping in a forest. The swimming pool in the room has circulating water, and the bedding is very comfortable. The living room has a Bose sound system, and there's a capsule coffee machine, tea set, and barware, all well-equipped. It's a private, standalone property, offering great privacy. The complimentary cinnamon cookies were delicious, and the breakfast was very rich, with both Western and Chinese options, so you could order something different each day. Dinner also tasted great. The hotel provides free electric bikes, which are very convenient for exploring the surrounding area, and the service is excellent. I'll definitely choose to stay here again when I come to Yangshuo.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Alila Yangshuo (formerly known as Yangshuo Sugar House Hotel). It is a very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings and a unique atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and always helpful throughout our stay. The location was great — convenient yet still scenic and relaxing.
The food was also excellent, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcome drink and the tea break arrangement in the room. The hotel offers many complimentary and chargeable activities, which gave us plenty of things to enjoy during our stay. We were especially impressed by the photographer — very professional and did a great job capturing memorable moments for us.
A special mention to the hotel team for being very considerate with checkout arrangements. They automatically offered us a late checkout to better match our train schedule, which made our departure much more comfortable and stress-free.
Two areas for improvement: the coffee with milk didn’t seem to be heated properly (we experienced a similar issue at other hotels too, so it may be related to the type of coffee machines commonly used here). Also, the hotel is next to a busy road — while the room’s sound insulation is fairly good, traffic noise could still be disturbing for light sleepers like my wife.
Overall, it was still a great experience, and we would gladly return.

GGuest UserThis hotel really exceeded my expectations! The owner upgraded us to a king-size bed room, which was incredibly clean and tidy, even providing disposable toilet seat covers. What surprised me even more was the food – breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks were all provided! Breakfast was super varied, including Guilin rice noodles, and the afternoon tea was also great. For a sweet treat in the evening, they had red bean soup. The view from the 8th floor was fantastic, with plenty of photo spots, offering a panoramic view of Yangshuo. Plus, we even got a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Yangshuo. Amazing!

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was a mixed bag. The hotel's interior is elegant, but there's no real view outside, just a messy village. The price was on the higher side, but the overall service and attention to detail didn't match the cost, leading to an average experience.
**What I Liked:**
1. **Well-equipped and nicely decorated rooms.** They helped bring luggage to the room, replenished bottled water, and were quick to open the door when I forgot my key.
2. **Free feeding of peacocks and ducks** in the garden was a nice, enjoyable touch.
3. The signature beer fish and green vegetable dishes tasted good.
**Areas for Improvement and Specific Issues:**
1. **Restaurant dishes didn't match the menu; feedback was ineffective.** For dinner on May 15th, I ordered bamboo rice, expecting fresh rice steamed in a bamboo tube. Instead, it was actually stir-fried glutinous rice with cured meat served in a bamboo container, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. When I reported this to the waiter, they said it had always been prepared this way, and my feedback led to no resolution.
2. **Lack of attention to detail at breakfast.** During breakfast on May 16th, the hot milk and soy milk containers had no labels. Staff only put up labels after a guest pointed it out. The fried egg station was slow, requiring a wait, and the service wasn't as thoughtful or organized as it should be. At the noodle station, no one paid attention, and the server was indifferent.
3. **Specialty dishes were poor quality and overpriced.** The prices were even higher than a typical five-star hotel. For lunch on May 16th, I ordered braised goose with taro. The dish wasn't prepared authentically; the goose had a ***** smell, dry meat, and obvious signs of being pre-roasted. The goose and taro flavors were disjointed, and the sauce wasn't absorbed, making me suspect it wasn't freshly cooked but pre-made. Despite the high price, the dish was far from what was expected. After I complained, they only offered a small complimentary fruit platter, which felt like a perfunctory gesture.
4. **Lack of professional service and overpriced activities.** The afternoon tea on May 16th was limited to only sweet pastries. When I asked about the bamboo raft pricing, the staff on duty vaguely said they didn't know, showing a lack of professionalism. After expressing my dissatisfaction, another staff member eventually provided the price, which was significantly higher than outside docks. The hiking activity in the park also incurred an additional charge.
5. **Inadequate room cleaning service.** On the morning of May 16th, I pressed the 'make up room' button twice, but no one came to clean. I eventually had to actively contact housekeeping for the room to be cleaned.

GGuest UserTo be honest, I later stayed at another Destination Expert hotel that was only a few tens of yuan more expensive, but it was much larger. I booked this one because I saw its high ratings and numerous bookings on the platform. Overall, I found it to be just average, whether it was the breakfast, room decor, or room size. The deluxe twin room faced the street, so the view wasn't great. Since the price was only slightly cheaper, I guess I can't expect too much. Although customer service promised a refund for a good review, I feel obligated to be fair to future guests. If you have high standards, don't book the deluxe twin; try other better rooms instead.

GGuest UserWe had an amazing stay at Yangshuo LISA's Hotel! The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, the lady who was on the service desk during the day was very generous with her time. We enjoyed a free afternoon tea when we arrived and then rented some bikes from the hotel. The receptionist made us a personalised tour route for the bike ride and sent us the location points via WeChat. She also gave us water bottles and adjusted the bike seats to make sure we had the best experience. The room itself was gorgeous, it had an amazing view and a great vibe overall. The location was great, it was quiet but very close walking distance to a lot of the busy nightlife and attractions. We wished we had stayed longer because we had such a lovely experience at this hotel!

AAnonymous UserGreat location. It's located at the start of West street. We arrived during the Qingming festival and street was really busy. The lady at reception tried her best to find us a transport however either there was really a shortage on cars or all occupied. Our room was just right size for the family of 4, it has little balcony. It started to show it's wear but still acceptable.

PPeggy ChowThis room is a traditional Chinese style and decor is quite outdated. There's smoking smell in the room and we must use the air-conditioner to exchange stale air. Carpet is stained and lightings difficult to control. We love the split type air-conditioner which we can control the temperature as we like. It is very important because we must close the window at night due to noise outside.
Another positive feature is the wooden bathtub. The stopper leaks a little so we use plastic bag to stop it from leaking when we use the bath.
Customer service is excellent and they make sure we get the right service every time.
