This guesthouse is nestled in the innermost part of Jiwo Du Village, east of Gongnong Bridge. Unlike many of the 'influencer' guesthouses along the way, which often feature concrete frames, floor-to-ceiling glass, and rooftop pools, this one truly stands out. It consists of two old houses thoughtfully renovated from their original rammed earth structures, complemented by a newly built restaurant in the backyard. Both the architectural design and interior decor exude a wonderfully warm ambiance.
The renovation of this guesthouse masterfully blends the old and the new. There's a brilliant interplay between old and new spaces, a harmonious combination of old and new materials, and a complementary arrangement of old and new objects. It feels very cohesive and well-designed. The two houses were even renovated using different methods and approaches, which was fascinating to learn about after the owner's detailed explanation. It really showed how different user perspectives and methods can lead to such varied outcomes.
While the rooms may not offer the 'influencer guesthouse' thrill of gazing at mountains through glass, they provide a richer sense of history and comfort. The incredibly generous and thoughtful breakfast prepared by the hostess was the icing on the cake. A truly wonderful experience.

Guest UserI highly recommend Chuxin Homestay; it was the most satisfying accommodation choice during my trip to Yangshuo! The location is truly unbeatable, very close to the Yulong River trail. In the morning, you can take an immersive stroll and enjoy the scenic mountains and rivers. It's also super convenient to get to Jima Pier for a bamboo raft ride. The 'Eternal Love' scenic area is just a few minutes' bike ride away, so you can easily return after the show without rushing, saving a lot of travel time.
The room hygiene was exceptional. The bedding was soft and clean, the bathroom had no odors, and every corner was meticulously cleaned, making our stay very reassuring. The service from the owner was even more heartwarming; they patiently answered questions about travel routes and food recommendations before and after check-in. They were very responsive to our needs, making us feel completely at home. The room had great natural light, comfortable space, and was quiet, not noisy at all. The value for money is outstanding. This is my top choice for a trip to Yangshuo, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

I'd give this hidden gem of a hotel six stars – every detail makes you want to stay forever. (Originally, I was just passing through Xingping on my way to Yangshuo, but it was so comfortable and perfect for unwinding that I ended up staying two extra days.)
Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to find places, whether hotels or B&Bs, that truly make you feel reluctant to leave. But this stay completely exceeded my expectations, so I have to write a detailed review to capture every heartwarming detail.
First, let's talk about the location and shuttle service. The B&B is in a very quiet area, but you absolutely don't need to worry about getting around. Before check-in, the owner's wife proactively added me on WeChat and sent clear directions, including the exact location and parking instructions. Even more thoughtful, they offer free shuttle service to the nearest ancient town entrance, the food street, or the bus station. Everything is super convenient and close by.
Next, a hot topic for many: charging stations. When driving an electric car, the biggest fear is finding charging stations, especially since some more remote hotels don't have any. But this place has slow chargers directly available. Just plug in and charge! And the owner's wife said they don't charge extra for electricity, which is a genuine act of sincerity. I'd charge it before bed and wake up to a full battery, ready to go without any delay to my itinerary.
Speaking of sleep, I have to mention the 'quiet' aspect. The B&B isn't on a main road; the only sounds around are the wind and occasional bird calls. The room windows are very well soundproofed; once the curtains are drawn, you can barely hear any outside noise. The bedding was also incredibly comfortable, with a choice of soft or firm pillows, and the duvet was fluffy and odor-free. As someone who's usually a very light sleeper, I slept soundly until I naturally woke up both days.
The cleanliness also deserves high praise. From the hallway to the room floor, from the washbasin to the corners of the toilet, there wasn't a single spot of standing water or grime. The towels didn't have that 'damp warehouse smell' at all.
Then there's the owner's wife. She's the most genuinely, un- 'schemingly' warm person I've met. She won't overly disturb you, but if you need anything, she's more attentive than you are. It's that feeling of visiting relatives.
Finally, the food. The B&B offers an à la carte menu, and the ingredients are bought fresh from the market every morning. She said, ”If the ingredients aren't fresh, I wouldn't run this place.” I believe her.
One more detail: (It's super pet-friendly here!)
In short, if you're looking for a B&B with charging stations, thoughtful service, quiet and clean rooms, trustworthy food, and a personal touch, you absolutely can't go wrong with this one. I've already planned my next trip here with my family for a longer stay.

One of the best home stays I’ve stayed in for a while! The owners are so welcoming and the wife went out of her way to make me lovely food, drive me down to the ferry crossing and offer me advice for local hikes.
This is perfect for people who want to get away from the busy and touristy old town. It’s tucked away on the side of a mountain with gorgeous views of the Li river.
There is also an incredible hike up Damian mountain, built by the owners themselves! The owners will give you really easy instructions to reach the steps that take you up to the platform at the top. It’s also on the correct side of the river for the much busier Xianggong sightseeing platform.
Here are a few things to note:
- This is not close to anything else and will require you to get a ferry from Xingping old town for 5 yuan and pay someone to drive you up the mountain to the home stay
- Alternatively you can walk up in about 40 mins which is a very peaceful.
- They have some really friendly pets, a cat and 2 dogs. But just be aware if you’re not an animal person, but the dog will lead you up part of the path for the hike up Damian mountain!

Guest UserThis guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful.
However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

Aru-chanTHE BEST OF A HOTEL + THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY
Choosing LINJING HOMESTAY was a great decision! I recommend it 100%.
THE BEST OF A HOTEL: Spacious, beautiful, bright room with all the amenities and impeccable cleanliness. The views were fabulous, the bed was wonderful (large, with a comfortable, soft mattress and very soft sheets), it also had chairs and a table to work at, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. I liked that there were natural plants, too. The bathroom was fantastic. The bidet water gun was a pleasant surprise. You can shower with very hot water and good pressure. Don't worry if the floor gets wet: the water-repellent tiles dry very quickly. There are disposable towels if you want to bathe in the river, but there are also soft cotton towels and non-slip slippers to use in the hotel.
THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY: The hosts are a warm local family. I was touched by their kindness and hospitality. They helped me a lot and always gave me fruit and other nice things to eat. They were always willing to share a cup of tea. They also got me a motorbike at a very good price. And they let me use their washing machine for free. They even drove me to the station and dropped me directly on my bus.
THE SURROUNDINGS: The location is excellent. It is a quiet neighbourhood where local families live. You meet very friendly people all the time. You just have to cross the bridge in front of the hotel to get to the old quarter. Behind the hotel there is a path leading up to a viewpoint that few people know about. The path is very well signposted and is perfect for watching the sunset.

juney22The hotel is sandwiched between a restaurant and a retail shop. Its very noisy as there are many shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. Every day there's loud music till late at night. The room is spacious and overall clean. However, there's no elevator and you have to either drag your luggage up the stairs or get the hotel staff to help you. Plus you need to drag your luggage for 10mins to catch your didi from the main road. The restaurant next to the hotel has 10% discount and their beer battered fish was very yummy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Super nice place to stay. The lady at the reception who we also think was the owner, was super friendly and professional. She was also speaking in English, which was super nice, as we did not have to use any translation apps like in other hotels. The room was clean and nice, with a balcony. We loved the balcony, as we were sitting during the night and enjoying the sound of nature. The hotel also offers food at the restaurant at the rooftop with a nice view. The location is amazing with people selling things under your balcony, close to the shops and restaurants from one side, whilst also close to the river and all the attractions on the other. Also, this is the exact location where you can go up to Laozhai mountain for the breathtaking view, the hiking route literally starts less than a minute away from the hotel. (P.S. please make sure you understand that the way up the mountain is very steep, with no build steps/stair, we literally climb up rocks - do not go when its dark). Thank you to the hotel for the amazing stay.

Staying at this guesthouse with my child in Yangshuo was a real little slice of happiness during our trip. The location was absolutely perfect – really close to West Street, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. It was super convenient for exploring and dining, and yet wonderfully peaceful when we returned. The owner was incredibly gentle and patient, providing amazing service and being very nice👍, with prompt replies to everything. The guesthouse itself was decorated in a warm, simple, and tidy style. It even had a large balcony where we could enjoy the stunning Li River scenery while having breakfast in the morning – truly atmospheric. It felt less like staying at a guesthouse and more like visiting a friend's home. Next time I'm in Yangshuo, I'll definitely choose this place again. Highly recommend! 😘

This hotel was the best one I stayed in China and it was also the cheapest one.
The room looked even better than on the pictures, it was very spacious with a large and comfortable bed, a couch and many amenities. The room was modern, clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect, literally in the middle of the busiest street with hundreds of shops, restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. within a 2-minute walk. Despite the central location, the room was quiet and I didn’t hear any noise from the busy street so I could get a good nights sleep.
The receptionists were also friendly, check-in was much faster than at other hotels and they even let me store my luggage there for free after I checked out. Overall highly recommended!
