"I have to say, this hotel was really great, and the price-performance ratio was excellent 😊 Although there's some construction going on in the area right now, making transportation a bit inconvenient, the location is king 😎 The best part is that hotels usually charge guests a deposit (either cash or credit card, which is refunded upon check-out). But what surprised me was that they only recorded your credit card payment and didn't charge you anything, so we didn't have to worry about any follow-up on refunds 👍 This is so awesome 👏 I was originally planning to pay cash (6000 🐷) 🥲 and thought, ”Another 6000 less for shopping!” 😅 Now I'm so happy 🥳 Okay, next, let me introduce this hotel 🏨 First: 1) The hotel is above a shopping mall ☝️ (You need to take the elevator from the 1st floor to the hotel lobby on the 7th floor) 2) Hotel lobby There's a massage shop right next door. I initially thought those in hotels would be expensive 😅, but the prices were about the same as outside, so convenient! 👍 (If you don't mind what others think, you can even go for a massage in your pajamas, since the massage shop is right outside the elevator.) 3) Next, there's McDonald's and Starbucks downstairs, selling snacks 😃😃, which is a big plus 😜 4) Pratunam Mall, December, Central World, 7-Eleven, morning/night market, and the famous pork leg rice are all just a few minutes' walk away 👍 So convenient! Finally, the hotel room is spacious and the soundproofing is excellent 👏 You can't hear any road construction noise outside at all 👍 A little anecdote (from my daughter comment): ”Mom, this mini-fridge is really cold!” 😂 (Because I always complain that the hotel fridge isn't cold, hahaha) 😄 This little girl really knows her mom so well 😅"

Amazing
GGenzhuoxiaoliqulvxingThe room was okay, but the amenities felt a bit old. The lobby, however, was absolutely beautiful, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. The location is very convenient, with lots of shopping malls nearby. My only dissatisfaction was that I left a tip for the housekeeping staff to fold towel animals, but when I returned, the tip was gone, and no towel animals were folded for us. I was extremely, extremely disappointed! For those planning to visit the Erawan Shrine, I highly recommend staying here. Though, there are some newly built hotels nearby that offer better prices. Still, I'd suggest coming here for afternoon tea; the lobby on the first floor is just too stunning, and I took so many photos. It would be even better if the room amenities could be upgraded, for example, changing the hairdryer to a Dyson and the toilet to a washlet, which would greatly enhance the experience.

AAnonymous UserDefinitely one of the best hotels to stay in Bangkok! This is my second stay here, with my previous visit less than 10 months ago, and it did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised to find cute origami creations and a handwritten welcome card waiting for us in the room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel valued as returning guests. The biggest selling point is the location — the hotel sits directly above CentralWorld, making shopping, dining, and getting around Bangkok incredibly convenient. While the room rates may be on the higher side, the convenience easily justifies the price. The breakfast spread is excellent with a good variety of choices. I was also impressed by the TV’s Wi-Fi connectivity — YouTube streamed smoothly without any lag. One unique feature I loved was the bathroom speaker system. Being able to play my favourite songs while soaking in the bathtub made the stay even more enjoyable. Do note: the hotel collects a deposit of THB 2,000 per night. On a positive note, I was granted both an early check-in and a complimentary one-hour late check-out, which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone considering this hotel. Book without hesitation! If you’re travelling on a budget, consider staying for at least one night and opting for the breakfast package. Don’t forget to use your Trip.com coins to offset part of your stay and maximise the value.

YyaaaaggThis is definitely my go-to hotel in Bangkok, I wouldn't stay anywhere else! 🏨 The price is right, as long as it's not a public holiday, the rates are always good. Ambiance: The room was very clean, the pillows were super comfortable, and there were no strange odors. Facilities: I initially booked this hotel for the pool, but ended up loving the room itself. The soundproofing is excellent, it's very quiet. Service: They offer luggage assistance and will help you hail a taxi and communicate with the driver. Oh, and the apples at the front desk are delicious, haha! I make sure to eat two every day whenever I stay there!

GGuest User1. Excellent, truly exceptional. With a limited number of rooms, it's not crowded and wonderfully quiet. 2. We received a lovely welcome gift: a fresh floral bracelet (I enjoyed the jasmine scent throughout the day!). The room also had a welcome fruit platter, a self-service incense burner, and essential oils. 3. The pool is small and located at a moderate height, offering some city views, but nothing spectacular. It's a small space, but functional enough for what it is. 4. Dinner was divine! We ate at the rooftop bar. We ordered pork ribs and chicken, totaling 6000 Thai Baht. The ribs were a generous portion, more than we could finish. The service was impeccable; we had one-on-one attention throughout, with attentive serving and explanations. At sunset, they even offered to take photos for us. 5. Breakfast was served on the 60th floor. The dining area is small, the views are average, and the variety of dishes is limited, but the service is good. I highly recommend ordering the iced Thai milk tea from the server. In summary: This is an older luxury hotel that is now accessible to the average person. Go ahead and book; you won't be disappointed.

AAnonymous UserI went to Bangkok 2 times in 2 months. First we were in an expensive 5 star resort in the river and second time was here in Ramada Plaza. It was more than half the price of the first place but wow it was almost as good! I am not goof at reviews so I will just ramble my thoughts. The worst part of Ramada Plaza is the entrance. It is lackluster and the main big doors were not working so they had small signs that say in and out for you to use side doors. When you get in, the lobby is big and grand with high ceilings, albeit very dated. At night there is a pianist and singer every day and it’s nice to come back to. Front desk staff were kind and they said they upgraded our room from deluxe to premier deluxe (although they always say this so I don’t know if there truly was a difference). We didn’t get early check in and connecting rooms as I requested but we didn’t get rooms beside each other which was good enough. When we got to the room it was so nice. Looked newly renovated! Looked newer than the lobby and the hallway. So we were happy. Aircon was super strong and cold thoughout our 8 day stay. No carpet in the room, made it easier for luggages to roll. I felt it was cleaner that way too. Linens were crisp and clean. Pillows were super great and soft. For our king size bed we had 4 pillows and 1 extra. The bathroom was spacious but it had a wet floor set up so your tub and shower was beside each other. Tub is small so it fills up easily. Water is super super strong and goes from boiling hot to cold. We soaked everyday in the tub. My shower had low pressure in the first day but when I asked them to fix it, they did and it became super strong. If I may nitpick - I didn’t like their provided shampoo (made my hair stiff) and shower gel and lotion(didn’t like the scent). But it was totally ok. Just personal preference. They give two bottles of water a day. The provided ref was ok. Takes a while for our drinks to cool. Anyway moving on, the location of the hotel is beside asiatique so it’s noisy at night (we were in the 6F) because of the party boats boarding. Lots of singing. But only early in the evening. We tried the free tuktuk to asiatique and it was so fast like riding a rollercoaster. My daughter loved it. The location itself is nice because of the river view but it’s prone to a lot of traffic coming from places like icon Siam or central world. Outside the hotel were more than 5 massage spas. We tried one and had a great foot massage!! Loved it! We never tried the fee hotel boat to central pier because we didn’t want todeal with central pier and shift boats. I wish they had a free icon Siam boat like other hotels but that’s ok I guess it’s far. Also the boat doesn’t go at 12 noon so we just opted for a grab car to get around. Oh and also the breakfast buffet is great! They change selection daily so in 8 days we tried many different things. I loved the pork rib curry even though it was so spicy. The chef roams around every morning. Nice touch! Overall I recommend this hotel to all my friends who don’t want to break the bank but still want the resort feel by the river.

GGuest UserGood hotel in a convenient Bangkok location and in excellent condition. Everything was clean and worked properly. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. Breakfast and housekeeping could be arranged for an extra charge, although we didn’t use these services since there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only downside was that you can hear the neighboring room’s doorbell, even when the “Do Not Disturb” mode is on. Also, fresh water and toilet paper were not replenished automatically. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we were satisfied and can confidently recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserOn my first day, the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting every three minutes, which was incredibly frustrating for a business trip. I couldn't even prepare documents for clients. I repeatedly contacted the platform and the hotel front desk, and their solution was always to restart, restart, restart. Eventually, I had no choice but to inform the hotel and platform that I needed to cancel my remaining six nights. I was then told the hotel had no cancellation policy. But the hotel advertises Wi-Fi on the platform, and this is the kind of Wi-Fi they offer! Later, a telecom employee came and replaced the router, and only then did the internet work normally. Another issue was on the 27th, when they were repairing water pipes. There was construction noise early in the morning, and then the water was shut off during the day. On the positive side: the hotel is relatively clean and hygienic, the lobby is large, and there are many international guests, including people from India, Southeast Asia, and European backpackers. For 485 RMB a night, I can only say that with this standard, I feel I could find much better options next time.

GGuest UserAddressed to Jon Warmington, the General Manager I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium room 842 from 27 May to 1 June and would like to share some feedback regarding my experience. First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel, facilities, and the majority of the team members provided excellent service, and overall I had a pleasant experience. In fact, I am not the type of guest who frequently raises complaints. During my travels, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Most of my day is spent outside the property, and my interaction with the hotel is generally limited to breakfast and sleeping. As such, it takes a significant issue for me to feel compelled to formally raise a concern. The first issue relates to breakfast. During my stay, I invited a Muslim friend to join me for breakfast. He entered the restaurant with me but did not consume any food because he was unable to find suitable options that met his dietary requirements. While I acknowledge that I did not raise this directly with the restaurant team at the time, I was surprised when Reception later informed me that they had verified that my friend had taken breakfast. From my perspective, entering the restaurant should not automatically be considered as consuming breakfast when no food was actually taken. Nevertheless, I have decided to let this matter rest and move on. The second issue is far more serious and is the primary reason for this email. On my final night at the hotel, I was expecting a visitor. However, Reception did not contact me to verify whether I was expecting anyone before allowing my visitor access to the guest floors. Instead, my visitor was simply directed to my room and arrived at my door unannounced. Having worked within the Accor group for approximately 15 years as a Duty Manager in Singapore, I am very familiar with hotel operational procedures, guest privacy standards, and security protocols. It has always been my understanding that when a visitor arrives for an in-house guest, Reception should first contact the guest to obtain authorization before granting access to the room floors. While my visitor was indeed expected on this occasion, Reception had no way of knowing that without contacting me first. Had the visitor not been known to me, this could have resulted in a serious security and privacy issue. In my professional opinion, allowing a visitor direct access to a guest room without prior verification is unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected from an Accor property. What further disappointed me was the handling of the matter after I raised my concern. I wish to be clear that I am not seeking compensation of any kind. My concern is not financial. Rather, I expect an appropriate resolution and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the issue. Simply being told ”sorry” was not sufficient given the nature of the security lapse. The alternatives presented to me by the Night Manager were also, in my view, unreasonable. One option was for me to move to another room on my final night. Considering that I was due to check out the following morning, I found this solution impractical and disruptive. Being asked to pack my belongings and relocate because of an issue that was not caused by me did not seem to be an appropriate resolution. I was also informed that a Reception Manager would speak with me. However, I was unable to wait indefinitely for the manager's arrival. As a guest who was raising a legitimate concern, I do not believe I should have been expected to delay my evening plans or remain available for an uncertain period of time. Furthermore, I was scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:00 AM the next morning in order to arrive at the airport early for my flight. For these reasons, I felt that the issue was not properly addressed during my stay, which is why I am bringing it directly to your attention. I am raising this matter not only as a guest but also
