SSteven PorterWe had decided on Baisha Ancient Town as our first stop on the way to Meili Mountain over the Christmas break and I am so glad we did. Our host kindly picked us up from Lijiang airport and drove us to the Hotel. As we drove through the narrow streets and alleyways to our accommodation I knew we had made the right decision. The area is stunning and has a real authentic feeling to it. We were greeted by very welcoming staff and check in was super swift with us being shown to our room in just a few minutes.
The Room: spotlessly clean with plenty of space, huge TV, bottled water as well as Tea/Coffee making facilities.
The Bathroom: Also spotless and with excellent toiletries, huge towels and hand towels.
The Beds: Firm and comfortable which led to a great sleep each night.
Breakfast was a choice of French Toast with some fruit or Local Rice Noodles. Also each morning we had some steamed vegetables; sweetcorn and sweet potato. Tea and coffee were also available (great Cappuccino).
Our hosts were happy to give us recommendations for places to eat nearby as well as the best local places to view the mountains and other local villages to visit. They also helped us arrange a driver to our next destination.
The hotel has a little bar at reception and this provided a welcome place for us to relax with a drink after a day out exploring. Sitting by the fire relaxing after a day out was wonderful.
I can highly recommend this little Hotel and will definitely stay here when I next visit. Baisha is stunning in winter so I can only imagine it will be very beautiful in summer.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Logee Inn, and it was an unforgettable experience. Originally chose the Inn for its proximity to a private kitchen/fine dining, the inn surpassed my expectations.
Location:
Logee Inn is perfectly situated just on the outskirts of Baisha, an easy 10minute walk or the lovely manager happily dropped us off and picked us up.
Accommodations:
The rooms are beautiful with large windows and direct view of Yulong Snow Mountain. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a higher-grade room, which featured a large roof terrace. The view of the mountains from the large windows was amazing, adding to the overall charm of our stay. This room also included unlimited barista coffee, which was a delightful treat!
Service:
The service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or any needs. The hotel manager even offered to drop us off and pick us up from Baisha Old Town.
Evening Experience:
One of the highlights was the evening atmosphere—they lit a fire in the back garden, creating a cozy space to unwind.
Dining:
The breakfast options were hearty and delicious, offering both Western and Chinese breakfast sets that catered to all tastes, with rice noodles as well as croissants and Americanos.
Overall Experience:
I highly recommend Logee Inn for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Baisha. The scenery and peacefulness and service was amazing.

MM497264****This guesthouse was absolutely the right choice! 🌹 It's conveniently located very close to Baisha Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town, and less than a 30-minute drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, making getting around super easy.
The owner runs the place with great dedication and was incredibly welcoming. Not only did they provide a free electric scooter and travel tips, but they even helped us return our rented camera when we were rushing for our high-speed train – truly amazing!!
My room had a panoramic window directly facing the mountains. In the morning, I could pull back the curtains and see the mist floating over the peaks, and in the evening, I'd catch the sunset glow. It was so therapeutic (I forgot to take pictures!). The bedding felt soft and cozy, and the bathroom was very clean. The courtyard was especially elegant and charming, a real delight to the eyes, and the breakfast was exquisite and delicious, perfectly to my taste.
Overall, my stay here was a perfect 10. I've already recommended it to friends; it's genuinely excellent.

The giant projection screen in the Cloud Residence Snow Mountain King Room made for an amazing movie experience, and the private deep soaking tub was incredibly comfortable. The facilities are new and complete. The guesthouse itself has an antique charm and offers stunning snow mountain views, including the 'Sun-kissed Golden Mountain' phenomenon. The staff (the 'xiaogege' as we call them) was exceptionally warm and attentive, always ready to help. The cleanliness was also meticulously maintained. Overall, our experience far exceeded expectations; my friend and I both felt we made the right choice!

MM256839****The location is excellent, very close to the town center and the taxi stand at the town entrance. You can see snow-capped mountains right outside. The owner is very welcoming, contacted us in advance, and even picked us up from our location in town and helped with our luggage. The hotel's amenities are great, including disposable bath towels and face towels, very clean and hygienic. The only minor issue was the air conditioning wasn't very strong, so it was a bit chilly indoors without a down jacket, but everything else was perfect~

GGuest UserFacilities: The facilities are very complete, this is a very thoughtful hotel. Unlike regular hotels with reusable towels and bath towels, theirs are all disposable, which is very considerate. You don't need to bring your own and can use them with peace of mind. Even the duvets are disposable and very clean! Oh, and they have a very comprehensive range of medicines, so you don't have to worry about altitude sickness or not being able to buy meds.
Cleanliness: It's very clean. My mom is a very clean person, and this was her first stay, and she praised it endlessly. The water pressure is strong, and the temperature is just right, no hot and cold fluctuations.
Environment: We stayed in a mountain view room! We could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which was super beautiful. Plus, they have a courtyard full of flowers and plants, making it a very cozy place.
Service: The owner is also very warm and welcoming! They greeted us when we came in and out, giving us a feeling of coming home. The owner is also very genuine and patiently introduced us to attractions and local delicacies. When we arrived, they even helped us with our luggage 🧳.
[Goodnight Gift] Slow-cooked sleep-aiding desserts: Things like milk and bird's nest were quite thoughtful! For a guesthouse, this is really excellent!!! Highly recommend this honest business.
Actually, the hardest thing to leave behind when I checked out was Kele (Coke), the owner's little black dog. I really loved him; he has such a gentle personality and never gets upset no matter how much you pet him. When we arrived, he followed the owner to greet us, and when we left, he saw us off and only left after we were in the car. I will definitely come back again! Kele!!

LLisa 丽莎Initially, we booked the family suite but had to change the room due to an issue with the toilet. The boss was very helpful and quickly arranged a new room for us. The new room was much more comfortable, so we are thankful to the boss for that.
Regarding cleanliness, we wish the rooms could be cleaner. The hotel should pay more attention to hygiene, especially that of the toilet.
Another inconvenience was that there were many mosquitos in the room. Fortunately, the hotel provided a mosquito killer racquet and killer mats, so we were able to eliminate most of the mosquitos. Perhaps the mosquitos find some breeding grounds on the beautiful patio in the middle of the house.
The location of the hotel is good. It's very quiet but close enough to most of the attractions in the city of Lijiang.
The service attitude is very good. The boss and the cleaning lady are very kind and attentive. The lady prepared a nice breakfast for us, so thank you. The boss helped us book a taxi for the day we were leaving early in the morning. We really appreciate the kind service provided by the staff.
Regarding price for value, we think it might be a bit overpriced given the condition of the rooms.
Overall, this hotel is very beautiful. The furniture is traditional and beautiful. The central patio is exquisite and we loved the traditional Chinese design. The staff is kind and attentive.

The kids absolutely loved playing freely and safely in the yard; it really captured that vacation feeling. Inside, the room was immaculate, with everything neatly arranged, and the bedding was incredibly soft and plush. All the small decorative touches and thoughtful details truly showed how much effort the owner put into ensuring a fantastic experience. Attention to detail truly makes all the difference!
Even before we arrived, the owner contacted us to ask about our child's food preferences. Upon arrival, they not only proactively helped us with our luggage but also prepared breakfast that our child loved. For our outings, they thoughtfully packed local cookies as snacks for our little one and gave us excellent recommendations, like a less crowded parent-child craft workshop in the ancient town. This saved us so much time and hassle, making our entire trip seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Their attentiveness was truly spot-on, and we were extremely satisfied. The experience was absolutely fantastic! We'll definitely be back!

CCJCLHotel located exactly at dukezong city with the windows overlooking songzanlin monestary. Owner is knowledgeable and accommodating. Really nice guy. He speaks really good English! Told us he used to teach English, a tour guide and also experienced photographer~. He show us comparison of 18 years ago dukezong from his photo album and current dukezong. Told us story how Shangrila name come about. We chats about his cats, one particular kitten named Puma is very naughty. Enjoyed being in his lobby where he set up the fireplace and the cats getting heat there. At lobby there's peanut and walnut on the table, we able to enjoy them while chit chatting. I really enjoyed being in this boutique hotel. All his staff can speak simple English too~
The bed is warm and toasty. I feel it's a blessing when we check in, it was snowing lightly as well. I can see owner have great personality and an animal lover. If I ever visit Shangrila I will surely extend my stay in this hotel; just to have story time with the owner. ❤️
