I booked a mountain view room, but there was only a tiny glimpse of mountains from the window. Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing special. However, considering it's in a remote rural area and the price was affordable, it offered great value for money overall. Even during peak season in Zhangye, you'd only pay around 300-400 yuan. I'm quite satisfied with it."

"It’s getting cold, so we’re the only ones staying. It rained that day, so we didn’t go up the mountain. We went up the next day. The hotel is right opposite the visitor center, very close. There are plenty of parking spaces, just park in front of the house. Because of the off-season, the boss went to Qinghai. He was very enthusiastic during the phone call and even postponed check-out until we came down the mountain in the afternoon. The chef who was looking after the store was also very nice, enthusiastic and simple. He cooked all the remaining 5 eggs for us and washed our car. Ha ha. It was quite cold when I first entered the room, but the heater was powerful enough that I didn't cover myself with the quilt all night. The room is great, very clean, and the environment is so fresh. But the conditions in the mountains are not as good as outside, so just don’t be too picky. Overall good review."

There was a small gate to a large courtyard on the first floor, and three huge flies were swarming around the entrance. I had to swat them all over the place at night. The sheets also had black spots and weren't very clean. The toilet smelled terrible all night; it was separated from the room by an aluminum alloy door, and the smell was right next to the bed. If you're a girl who's particular about cleanliness, don't skimp on this place; you won't be able to handle it. I didn't sleep a wink all night."
