"Absolutely appalled about the condition of this motel. From the filthy pillows to the rusty fridge, the mould in the shower, the overgrown grounds, chipped paintwork and furnishings, cobwebs, stale smell, gritty floors and dated dirty bathroom we are insulted. We should be refunded. It ruined our holiday to have to stay here for 3 days because we paid in full and it was too late to cancel. The photos tell it better. This is room no. 1."

"For anyone looking to explore Sydney or have a short layover, choose this hotel! In Sydney, trains are a very comfortable and relatively inexpensive mode of transport, and this hotel is right outside the train station. Trains passing through here are very spacious, so you'll find plenty of seats. If you want to see the Sydney Opera House: take the train from the station right outside to Circular Quay. It's a 40-minute scenic ride, and you won't need to walk except for one transfer at Central. If you want to go to the city center: take the train for half an hour to Town Hall, where you'll find the QVB, Chinatown, and various shopping areas. Some might want to visit the University of Sydney: take the train to Redfern. Besides that, while Mortdale has some restaurants and supermarkets, if you take the train for six minutes to Hurstville, you'll find plenty of Chinese restaurants, a Coles store, and various grocery stores within the station. If you're willing to walk a short distance from Hurstville station, the entrance to Westfield is right across the street—a very large shopping mall with various restaurants and shops. "There's a bus stop right downstairs and the train station is just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is on a small, quiet street with low traffic. Housekeeping only came once during our four-day stay (we usually woke up late and missed them, even though we'd informed the front desk – all we got was a complimentary coffee as compensation). I guess that's just how hotels are in Australia, haha."

When we were looking for the entrance, we didn't even realize it was a hotel at first – the entrance is through the bar, and that's where we begin our exploration of the place. It looks unusual, but overall, it has a great atmosphere. 😊 The receptionist, who, as we realized, is also the bartender, was very nice and friendly. He gave us a card for free drinks at the same bar, which was a nice incentive. The room itself was clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable, and everything felt brand new. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was there."

"Very new hotel. Connected to the shopping mall below so easy access to supermarkets and shops. We booked the one-bedroom apartment and it was very spacious indeed. We booked it so that it could allow an extra bed to be added for our child. But the room faced the main road (Captain Cook Drive) and the noise from the road (especially the motorcycles) penetrated the living room loud and clear. This meant we had to move the extra bed into the bedroom and thankfully it was just able to fit both the double bed and the extra bed, so that the three of us could sleep inside the bedroom in a slightly cramped way. If the living room windows had better insulation, or if the room wasn't facing Captain Cook Drive, then would not have been required. The room and the bathroom was mostly clean but unfortunately I found one of the two bins underneath the sink un-emptied before our stay. The room was well equipped with amenities. It even had laundry liquid for the in-room washing machine. But it didn't have room slippers, which is an unfortunate standard in Australian hotels. There are no dining options in the hotel. but at least there are breakfast choices in the shopping mall below. "

"Everything was great! Impeccable cleanliness, English windows, quiet, and a lovely view from the window. I felt right at home. A large bed with crisp white sheets. A comfortable bathroom stocked with all the essentials. There's an elevator too. Downstairs, there's a wonderful bar and restaurant with special dinner deals! They serve the most delicious steaks and tasty wine. The staff are so welcoming! Conveniently, there's a laundromat just across the street. The area also has an IGA supermarket and plenty of other cafes and shops. And the best part is the convenient location! It's literally a minute away from the train station of the same name. You can get anywhere easily! If I'm ever in Sydney again, I'll definitely stay here!"
