"We stayed here as a family with two kids for four days and booked it last minute as everything else was unavailable or are too over priced for our budget. It was a lovely, family friendly charming hotel and for a three -star hotel, it really surpasses our expectations and we loved staying here. The great bits 1. charming, family-friendly hotel with a playground for the little ones and a play corner at the main dining area. 2. Quiet, idyllic location with a train station about 6-8 minutes away on foot. 3. Our room: a good size for a family of four, furnished with a comfy bed and a sofa bed, a well equipped kitchenette (toaster, stove, kitchen utensils, etc) with a small dining table with two dining chairs. Shower and toilet were clean and hotel provided towels and all in one soap for us. Coffee machine with two coffee capsules provided. 4. great breakfast with mini buns/croissant/baguettes, spreads, cold cuts, sliced fruits and vegetables, etc. juices, coffee from the automated coffee machine. Cereals, granolas and yogurt are available too. 5. entertainment: tv with local channels and reliable WIFI. 6. love the mini portion of freshly made smoothies that they provide at breakfast. We had watermelon and banana ones on separate days. The not so great bits - have read of other reviews that the rooms closer to the main road are prone to loud noises from traffic . Just a note for the one we had at the back, you can hear cars driven in and out of the parking lot, plus luggages rolling in from late arrivals. It wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others. - breakfast starts at 8:30 am. This could ä potentially be a headache for families with little children who are early risers like ours. We bought cereal and milk so that they can have an earlier slightly „smaller“ breakfast if they want to and head out for a second one afterwards. - the lady in charge of the hotel, assuming she’s the manager or owner, approached us WHILE we were having breakfast and said we’ve booked a room for two adults without kids and therefore we needed to pay the breakfast for our kids later. We’ve assured her we’ve booked for four including breakfast but she said she’s checked and it showed differently. We were taken aback but we had to stop eating halfway and check our email confirmation. Long story short: her staff misheard our room number and it was a mix-up. she wasn't rude but calm throughout the whole conversation. Howeve, we would have rather she checked with us in private after we’re done eating instead and not while we’re still eating in an almost fully occupied dining area where everyone could hear. - as we were on the second floor, top of the building, it can get warm inside in summer. We left the door slightly ajar at night but we’ve also invited a few mosquitoes in."
