Hotel de Paris ★★★

"I chose the hotel because of its location almost next to the station (ca. 100m). The hotel had its best times about 20 years ago and looks quite worn. The carpet is full of stains, a lot of things need repair (shower heads, windows blinds and small applications around the entire building). The decoration and furniture is oldfashioned, dark and a bit battered. Lighting is very dim: there are a lot of lamps but with little light. The fridge had been removed from the room. The bathroom was convenient but its hairdryer was of the “oldfashioned hotel type” with barely enough power to dry hair, especially long hair. In the corridors the wallpaper was coming offthe wall. Breakfast was okay with a coffee machine that prepared coffee by choice but not in a good quality. No fruit, nothing fresh but heavy on sweet pastries. The interior of the breakfast room had seen better times. Wifi didn’t work in my room, only in the public areas. Before arriving I received an automated mail from the hotel informing about its restaurant (not existing/closed!!) and other services that never materialised. The receptionist didn’t even know about this mail. The hotel is in need for a proper renovation. The reception staff was friendly and multilingual."

"The stay was good, and the food at the restaurant was good. Unfortunately, the gym wasn't on-site; what was advertised as a gym service was a deal with an external gym, which would have required me to drive a few kilometers, so unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of this service. Aside from this detail, the facility offers good space and is comfortable."

"I was looking for a hotel for one night due to work in the area and I tried this hotel attracted by its 4 stars and reviews (since I also needed a restaurant). The plus points are the courteous and kind staff and the convenient, very useful parking (also free). However, I found the rooms very dark and dated and with poor soundproofing. The structure also needs extensive restoration. There are broken and dirty walls almost everywhere (with the exception of the reception). The restaurant is to be avoided. I ordered a pork fillet with a side of potatoes, and I had potatoes with a side of pork (3 barely visible pieces of pork) for a price that was anything but modest. Furthermore, the potatoes were cold and not cooked at the moment. Frankly, I will look for another solution if I find myself in the Terni area."

"Hotel in the shadow countryside with a beautiful view that is spacious around. Complete and functional rooms. Spa accessible directly from the rooms, small but with everything you need to relax, the staff is also very nice. Beautiful outdoor pool with a really “wow” view. It is a point to improve breakfast served in a room next to the reception a little “closed to the landscape” and as a buffet not particularly rich, especially as “warm” salads given the level of the hotel (maybe in a high season with continuous presence, the buffet is also richer), in any case a address to be remembered for a return."
