KAIKA Tokyo is in a quiet neighbourhood in Sumida, 10-15 minutes on foot from the transport hub that is Asakusa station. The staff are very helpful and look to accommodate guests' needs whenever asked. Breakfast is limited to bagels (3 kinds), but it is enjoyable in a lovely interior doubling as an art depo/display space. Rooms are cozy and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. There is a shared lounge in the basement, with purified water which can be taken to rooms in provided glass jugs to prevent plastic waste.
All in all, my family had a good stay in KAIKA : )

This hotel is very clean and very hospitable. Metro station within walkable distance, around 10-15 mins walking. Things that i really like; they offer one-time free coffee, cheap and cashless laundry, really3 clean and nice environment. We got private kitchen, shower and restroom for every floor; not like other hostel which I had to go downstairs to take a shower. Overall, I recommend this hotel and looking forward to stay here again when I come back to Japan.

Overall, the environment is beautiful! There are many shops nearby to visit

Last year we stayed in a quad room, but the room was small and the lighting was not good. This year we stayed in a triple room, which was actually quite spacious and had good lighting. Although the receptionist was nice, the Wi-Fi in our room (418) had almost no signal from the first day of our stay. We reported it twice, but the problem was not solved until we left on the fourth day. This was the only drawback.

I loved every moment staying there. The staff was so welcoming and kind. The bike rental was pretty cheap and affordable, and so many places to visit within walking distance of the hotel. I met so many people from around that were also staying there plus a lot of awesome natives from Japan. I’d totally recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Hakodate.
