"A very enjoyable stay ~ after we got there! Our flight into Rome was over an hour late due to unavoidable problems and consequently our rental car by Discover Cars was no longer available so we had to rent on the spot costing us two and a half times what was planned. That was a bad start but once on the road we put in the address on our GPS and about an hour and a half got off at the Todi exit. Somehow we ended up driving (following our GPS) all over the area without any luck. We finally found a 'saint' that called the hotel and they arranged to meet us just outside of Todi promising to send someone to guide us to the property. We finally arrived, got settled, had a wonderful meal and were able to get to sleep. The evening meal was very good but somewhat limited for a vegetarian. Breakfast had an excellent variety of foods. We were very thankful for the staffs willingness to come and 'find' us or we'd never found the hotel. We had expected it to be a little closer to the town of Todi but it all worked out. The property certainly has all the 'old world' charm, and all the staff were most helpful. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and cozy. The drive to Todi was about 10 minutes and having your own transportation would be necessary to stay here. A lovely place and I'd definitely stay again."

"Lovely hotel for a few days. Staff were great, and Breakfast was excellent . Great location, just outside the walls of Todi. Rooms were clean, and Towels changed every day. It was very warm and humid nights. did not know how to switch on the aircon should gave asked at reception never mind. "

"Stiflingly hot, no air conditioning, smell of rot, inflexible hotel worker, zero amenities, internet supposedly available in a ‘common room’ not at all in your own and rude local restaurant staff. Left after the second day and purchased alternative lodging. If you want a small room clean it costs $50.00 per cleaning…..3 towels for a family of 6 provided. No toilet paper provided over 7x days (we came back for final check out as no refund was possible). FALSE advertising. Avoid at all costs."

"We had a Balcony room at Villa Luisa. They have a nice breakfast. Very kind staff. Bathroom had a bidet as well as a toilet, sink and corner shower. The beds are not comfortable. Very hard and not much to them. Transportation into town was not easy. If you have your own transportation, there is parking available."

"The hotel is a monastery, which is very special. The common rooms are very beautiful, with antique furniture, paintings and freshness. The rooms have been restored, except for bathrooms, however, functional and comfortable. The breakfast room is very special, being the convent restaurant. The staff is very friendly and comfortable. There is a comfortable parking at 100m. The centre is reached with a walk (in up) of 10-15 minutes, but feasible. Recommended"

"Service among the finest I've encountered anywhere Relais Todini sits high on a hilltop just outside Todi, and it's unlike anywhere I've stayed. The former home of the industrialist Todini, the property is wrapped in park-like gardens, dotted with sculptures, and home to its own small wildlife park — more private estate than hotel. But it's the people who make it unforgettable. The care and attention here are extraordinary — genuinely among the best I've experienced in all my travels. Someone is there the moment you need them, gracious and unhurried, as if you were the only guest on the property. The pool is fantastic, and the views from poolside and the restaurant are stunning, sweeping across the Umbrian hills. Even the smallest rooms are beautifully proportioned, with supremely comfortable bedding and high-quality linens. "We stayed one night at this hotel with a tour group. It is located in the heart of Todi and it was an easy walk to see everything in this charming town. The hotel itself has an old world charm and great views of the countryside. Our room was somewhat run down, however, and had a tiny, hard to use shower. The mattress was uncomfortable and the room dark. The views from our 2 large windows were fantastic with beautiful sunsets/sunrises. We must have had an "average room" because many in our group raved about their awesome rooms, while others said theirs were small and dark. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, bacon, eggs, etc. This hotel just needs some updating and deep cleaning of some of the bed skirts, etc. but it is a great location and quite charming."
