"Apart from our slightly wayward route to Polbathic, we traveled across country when we should have taken the Torpoint Ferry, we eventually arrived at our destination. We had a warm welcome from the landlord and his staff and settled quickly into our room. The room was very large (room 3) and we had plenty of room for our dog and our bags. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food such that we are in the pub restaurant both nights. All in all, a most enjoyable stay even though parking was a problem on our first night due to the popularity of the bar. Our only criticism would be that the towels were a little threadbare. Nevertheless, a most enjoyable trip away"

"A lovely pub with two large rooms, good extras like fridge, fan and oil radiator plus a great tasteful bath and strong shower. Add the view over the cove. However, the best thing was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, Gemma, Sally, Sophie and the lad who cooked a top class breakfast, followed by super dog tolerance. The food at breakfast and evening was really excellent with a good choice of beers, ciders, wines or spirits at reasonable prices. We would strongly recommend and we will really miss the views from the outside space on quiet sunny days and evenings. ."

"Superbly comfortable and clean beds and bedding. Accomodation adjusted to suit our current needs. Food sourced locally, including bacon, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms. Easy going breakfast service. Fresh filter coffee, tea and toast on request. Towels were fluffy and plentiful. Some toiletries ie handwash, shower gel were on hand. A quiet, battery recharging resort. We took beach chairs and towels. We were offered some laundry facilities, which was gratefully accepted."

"This is a wonderful, eclectic place to stay. Truly worthy of the descriptor 'boutique'. Think 1920's art deco and glamour, alongside 70's Biba vibe. There is no single item of furniture or decor that is bland. Everything is interesting to look at or use and is meticulously curated. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. On top of that, our fascinating host Sarah prepares a fantastic breakfast, much of which is organic and/or sourced locally and is delicious. We loved our stay here and highly recommend a visit."
