"I thought it was pretty good. Aside from the lack of air conditioning and a hairdryer, which was a little inconvenient, everything else was satisfactory. The location is excellent; there's a small entrance next to Tours train station, just a short walk across the street and around the corner to reach the hotel. It's incredibly close to the train station; the next morning, it was only five minutes from my room to the platform. Not only is it convenient to get to the train station, but it's also a 20-minute walk to Tours Cathedral and the riverbank. There's also a light rail station downstairs. The front desk staff were very welcoming, greeting me every time I entered or left. The room was large and spacious. It even had an iron, vacuum cleaner, and the kitchen was fully equipped with a microwave, oven, refrigerator, and cookware. The bathroom was also very large. The only drawbacks were the lack of air conditioning, but thankfully Tours wasn't hot during my stay, and it was cool enough with the window open. There was also no hairdryer, but thankfully my hair is short and dried quickly."

"I want to praise Pierre's availability and responsiveness, when around 11 p.m., an electrical outage in my room plunged me into darkness. He came immediately to do some tests to understand where the problem was coming from. Then he returned with a stepladder, in order to work on the electrical panel camouflaged under the false ceiling, not very easy to access and without respect for his blazer... All this while telling me that he was sorry and getting active because so that this disturbance is as temporary as possible. Thanks to him, I was able to very quickly continue my evening in good conditions."

"My husband and I ended our trip to Paris and the Loire Valley with one night at Alex’s place — La Maison Jules. The beautifully remodeled home was just stunning! It had the charm of an ~1800 home, with all the modern conveniences. It was stylish, functional and comfortable. Alex was a terrific host. She bent over backwards to try to help us with a train issue, she made us dinner reservations at a local restaurant (Les Canilles) that was our best meal (esp the dessert) in our 10 night trip, and she made a lovely breakfast - shared over conversation with a few other guests. La Maison Jules is a gem. I would highly recommend staying there!"
