"Excellent stay. Very central location, we paid about 3 euros to park in the next street down overnight . Whilst there is no reception, getting in via mobile QR code etc was dead simple. Paid a little extra for the executive room and it was worth it, very smart and large. Tours - great town and you are in the centre. Breakfast in a very smart room with an outdoor terrace. Everything you would need to eat. Highly recommended"

"Hello, I booked a room at the Hotel L'Univers for Valentine's Day. I came with my wife and then we made a reservation at the restaurant for a special Valentine's Day menu. We were asked to arrive before 9:30 p.m., which we did to get the menu that was intended for us, except that we arrived well before to be sure of having the special Valentine's Day menu. We arrived at 8:45 p.m. and we were told that it was too late and that there was no longer enough for everyone, so I am very disappointed. I express my disappointment. I say that I made the reservation a week in advance and that I was promised that we were entitled to a special Valentine's Day menu. After expressing our dissatisfaction several times, we were offered to make the menu that had been agreed but with a limited quantity. It is really a shame for such an establishment because the place is magnificent. The hotel with swimming pool, jacuzzi and hammam is wonderful but the catering is not up to the author of the establishment. Very disappointed. We reported the incident to the reception on the day of our departure and we were deducted €40 from the price of the special Valentine's Day menu but we would have preferred to pay the agreed price and be served correctly as agreed so it's a shame for such an establishment"

"We stayed for 3 nights in the room 'Martin'. The room was luxurious and has views over the garden. The bed was very comfortable. It had a large bathroom that had a fantastic shower. Our friends stayed for one night in room 'Leonardo' and also loved it. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished in a way that retains it historic character with a contempoary touch. It is great for guests to be able to use the separate lounge and to be able to use the kitchen to make a drink. We enjoyed breakfast each day.Alex was an attentive and engaging host who provided lots of helpful information about places to visit and restaurants. It is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in."

"Avoid all these hotels near the station, especially if you are used to peace. Sleeping near the station is a nightmare. Deafening noise all night long. Air conditioning that is not working. Avoid urgently for your mental health. Help, run away."

"I was one of the lucky ones in our party, who got a decent size room. The overall impression is dated, but not completely worn down. The restaurant is for breakfast only - and you need to go to the city center to eat lunch / dinner. There is a restaurant at the Novotel down the road, but it is closed during the weekend. The elevator was stuck twice during the week we stayed - we spent the weekend in Paris - and when we came back on the evening 16th of September one elevator was not functioning - and when I pressed the button on the other elevator "Up" - nothing happened. I asked the receptionist if the elevator was working and she reacted in every shape and form - body language, deep sigh and eyes in the sky as if I was a complete ***** that I didn't know that I should have pressed "Down" - to get up. Unstable elevators is of course pretty bad - but worse was that when the elevator was too busy we tried to use the fire escape - and it was blocked on the ground floor - that is quite frankly ridiculous ad just too dangerous. I know this hotel is cheap - but it is for a good reason - use your money elsewhere."
