"Convenient location for our last leg of road trip. Location itself was within an industrial estate ( with Many restaurants and hotels close by) Interior clean and modern. Outside a little dated Restaurant states it is open mon-fri, but was closed on our arrival on a Friday Rooms are clean, but a little small. Double bed not much bigger than a single and the single bed was “roll over and fall out” Breakfast was decent with the normal selection of continental. Plus scrambled eggs and sausages Coffee euuuukkkk The staff were just the best, big smiles with a warm welcome. So pleasant and such a difference from the average norm."

"When I checked in, the hotel room had just been completely renovated, and the room reeked of paint. The hotel concealed the fact that it had been renovated, selling a room with excessive formaldehyde levels as a qualified room. After I raised my objections, the hotel refused to change rooms or cancel my booking, forcing me to pay extra to change hotels in the middle of the night. I advise everyone to stay away from unscrupulous businesses."

"We stayed in Tours as a base at Maison La Jules for 6 nights. The home is beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Our host Alexandra was just wonderful….such a perfectionist. She made our stay a wonderful experience and we thank her very much. She kindly arranged dinners for us at some local non tourist places which were excellent. We felt she had been our lives for a long time. Thank you Alexandra."

"Hello, I booked a room at the Hotel L'Univers for Valentine's Day. I came with my wife and then we made a reservation at the restaurant for a special Valentine's Day menu. We were asked to arrive before 9:30 p.m., which we did to get the menu that was intended for us, except that we arrived well before to be sure of having the special Valentine's Day menu. We arrived at 8:45 p.m. and we were told that it was too late and that there was no longer enough for everyone, so I am very disappointed. I express my disappointment. I say that I made the reservation a week in advance and that I was promised that we were entitled to a special Valentine's Day menu. After expressing our dissatisfaction several times, we were offered to make the menu that had been agreed but with a limited quantity. It is really a shame for such an establishment because the place is magnificent. The hotel with swimming pool, jacuzzi and hammam is wonderful but the catering is not up to the author of the establishment. Very disappointed. We reported the incident to the reception on the day of our departure and we were deducted €40 from the price of the special Valentine's Day menu but we would have preferred to pay the agreed price and be served correctly as agreed so it's a shame for such an establishment"

"I was one of the lucky ones in our party, who got a decent size room. The overall impression is dated, but not completely worn down. The restaurant is for breakfast only - and you need to go to the city center to eat lunch / dinner. There is a restaurant at the Novotel down the road, but it is closed during the weekend. The elevator was stuck twice during the week we stayed - we spent the weekend in Paris - and when we came back on the evening 16th of September one elevator was not functioning - and when I pressed the button on the other elevator "Up" - nothing happened. I asked the receptionist if the elevator was working and she reacted in every shape and form - body language, deep sigh and eyes in the sky as if I was a complete ***** that I didn't know that I should have pressed "Down" - to get up. Unstable elevators is of course pretty bad - but worse was that when the elevator was too busy we tried to use the fire escape - and it was blocked on the ground floor - that is quite frankly ridiculous ad just too dangerous. I know this hotel is cheap - but it is for a good reason - use your money elsewhere."
