The structure has a good potential completely ignored by the manager It is an aseptic place without the least X make feel comfortable who comes neither a coffee machine nor a boiler. "What a great find!! The hosts, Giorgia & Davide are absolutely wonderful! They provide a wonderful breakfast that will start your day off right! This little B&B is located in the very quiet town of Ummari, which is a very short drive to the ruins in Segesta, as well as the ruins in Selinunte, both sites are worth seeing. This location is also a short drive to Trapini. There are places to eat around them that are not typical tourist places, definitely more Locals. A great experience in Sicilian life."

"What can I say? Mario and Irina are the most friendly hosts. The breakfast is 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, and towels are constantly changed. Homemade cakes, fresh and healthy orange juices. Highly recommended. The only downside is the location, a bit out of the way, but the seafront and port are still easily accessible."

Badia Nuova Apart Hotel

"Stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom ‘Suite with Terrace and View’ (room 401). The pictures and blurb on the website gave us the impression of a master bedroom with a lovely vaulted wooden ceiling, airy, spacious and plenty of natural light. The suite we were given however was fairly dull away from the patio doors onto the terrace, with little natural light and bland decor and ceilings. The bathroom was compact (no idea how it would have worked if there had been more than 2 of us in the apartment). The second bedroom, which had twin beds pushed together, was like a cave with its only window looking into a small internal void with a steel grill on top. The whole apartment seemed to have been shoe-horned in amongst AC unit outlets and ducting voids for the rest of the hotel. The terrace whilst a decent size was adjacent to the hotel’s rooftop bar and had a fairly high wall round it (1.5m at its lowest point, but over 2m on two sides). The ‘view’ therefore was visible only in one direction, whilst standing and was of a building under construction in the distance. Whilst sitting on the terrace the ‘view’ was of walls which you could enjoy whilst listening to the 3 AC outlet fans attached to one wall of the terrace. The kitchen/lounge area was fine. Breakfast was hit or miss. Fairly limited choice of cereals and pastries and weird tasting filter coffee self served from a large pump thermos. There was supposed to be bacon and eggs. One day 1 it was ok, day 2 there was only chocolate based cereal as they’d run out of muesli and the bacon and eggs were stone cold as the heating trough was switched off. Day 3 there was no eggs and bacon left at 8.45 am (the staff did eventually agree to cook some more to order after a long wait and various debate amongst the 2 of them). Came back one evening after a long day of sightseeing only to be turned away at the front desk and told to come back to the hotel in an hour as they were having a problem with the power. Not within their control I guess but no apology, offer of a cold drink, just told to try again in an hour. Overall, nothing special. Not what we expected based on the website photos and other rave reviews. Not great value either for the €240 per night we paid to stay - wouldn’t rush back (certainly not to room 401 anyway) or recommend it to our friends."

"An experience not to be recommended given how it went..... although the room is very large, it does not have a real wardrobe (only one where you can hang your stuff and the shelves are very high up where there are blankets and pillows, so impossible put something in it, laundry? There's no drawer to put it in.....anyway....with three suitcases for a week.....I had to leave them on the floor and open them every day like refugees... This is already really inconvenient! Breakfast? All packaged stuff, not a homemade cake, what the heck are we in Sicily? Would they throw them in your face on the street and not take care of one of the most important meals of the day? little and sometimes I don't understand why we don't put our heart and soul into what we have. On the first and only day of breakfast the waitress approaches us and tells us (we have news to tell you) from tomorrow breakfast will be taken in the room... .. there is a fault..... Obviously it wasn't true otherwise they would have had problems even at that moment.... The real reason was a person for all the customers in the rooms who couldn't manage..... So they thought it best to leave the snack bag outside the room for the day.... the next day we asked out of pure curiosity what they had decided to do.... I repeat there was no reason to do it having at least used the kitchenette and fridge at least.....and they tell us (no, well, we'll do it.....making it clear from their tone that the fault had never occurred) evidently they had had a lot of controversy from other customers. Another day..... Room never done......let's go and say it and I'll reply (ah..... Evidently they forgot) oh well 😂. On the last evening we enter the room and find this huge square pouf (which served as another bed) added near the bed under which I had the suitcases which for me were my wardrobe which I pulled out every day for the change.....which didn't I could no longer pull ..... Put like this because maybe he had to return them ..... Invading your spaces..... something shocking ..... We took him and put him outside the room (indoors) also annoyed from this gesture. The structure appears neglected and without shaded areas... but it has great potential. The swimming pool is nothing to say spectacular and perhaps it is the only point that raises the trip comments.... But honestly, that's not all that matters. On the other hand, a positive note goes to Giusy who, poor thing, has all the work on her shoulders and is very polite and kind."

CasaTrapani Rooms & Apartments

"Casa Trapani is located outside of the ZTL area and there is sufficient street parking nearby. Trapani is quieter than other Sicilian towns and parking is not actually an issue. We had an apartment with 2 bedrooms, a living area and a kitchen. Our stay was very short and limited and the place was very adequate for our needs. The host offered to give us tips about Trapani but we were just passing through. There were also materials in the place with recommendations for restaurants and activities."

"The B&B is well located close to the old town and the train station, and the bus stop to go to the Erica cable car. The room was large and comfortable, and had a kitchen area. Our check was handled by Giancarlo who was very friendly and gave advise on the area and Erica. Visitors should be aware that there are no real common areas, and also no breakfast facilities but the B&B recommend a cafe 1 minutes walk away and this was very good and well priced."
