"The wife made this reservation, and had some concerns about some of the reviews. Gotta tell you people are crazy. One was you have to have a car - duh. Nothing wrong with this place. One nut said there were ants (outside-ha). Really nice, peaceful, great pool, nice meals, friendly staff, great rooms, nice sauna & steamroom. I think I can clear up the confusion. It's listed as a 4 star, and as nice as it is, expectations might just be a bit higher with a rating of 4. If they could lower to a 3, this would be on the high side of a 3 star. Just another tip, if you want the best meals around just head over to Valbonne. Best little town in all of south of France. Meals in St Paul de Vence really good too."

"This was the best experience ever! The place is exquisitely decorated, combining Old World elegance with sophisticated modern art. Everyone on the staff was helpful, especially Thierry, who gave us great ideas for our daily adventures and for the rest of the journey. Oh, I must especially thank the manager who went out of his way to sort through the daily garbage and find the voucher for redeeming our car from the parking lot!! Our room was large, comfortable, and well-equipped. Breakfasts were ample, with lots of choices, including fresh, seasonal fruit. Vence itself is a charming town, with plenty of outdoor cafes , excellent restaurants, and interesting walks. The Matisse Chapel is not to be missed and it is within easy walking distance. If you are planning to stay in this area, this is the best place. We can hardly wait to return."

"We planned on staying 2 nights but didn't stay even for 1 night. Room was tiny, fridge still dirty with olives from previous client in fridge. ice box iced up. Big stain on ceiling, door to room paint flaking off, bathroom shower floor tiles broken and looked dirty. Poolside rough stones and grass surrounding pool mostly soil. No cushion for wooden sunbed so very hard.very noisy due to construction site next door. First time I have ever left a hotel as felt it was not clean. "

"A true slice of paradise! The setting is gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The spa is outstanding, with a heated indoor pool and a hammam, while the outdoor jacuzzi boasts a spectacular sea view. Room 37 is large, comfortable, and equipped with a spotless bathroom. Towels and bathrobes are thoughtfully provided. The only minor drawback was the lack of soundproofing, we could hear the bed creaking from the enthusiastic couple next room…😉 That said, it didn’t spoil our stay at all, and we’ll be delighted to come back again!"

As a solo traveller from Asia, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and because of its serene surrounding, I over spent willingly to indulge myself in an evening of fine dinning. Vitorie is a small boutique hotel, so don't set too high an expectation. Its superb location is worth what you are paying for it...."
