"The 5 stars should perhaps be updated: the toilet did not flush, the window curtain was out of its guides, the French window closed with difficulty; in general, there is a lack of effective maintenance of the structure. One morning the room was not tidied up. The food, except for desserts and ice creams, left something to be desired: slow table service, never fresh fish in a week's stay, nothing special that one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Aperitif at the bar €8/each without a minimum of olives, chips or peanuts. Honestly, we won't go back."

"Our eight-member tour group felt comfortable right away in the hands of Eda, one of the hotel's concierges. She granted our every wish (ability to make morning tea in our room, a tour of the hotel and amazing roof-top deck--with water views from front to back, explanation of the morning breakfast routine AND even recommending a visit to the local farmacia's Dr. for advice about a one traveler's mysteriously swollen ankle). Being married to a local fisherman, she even shared with us how to cook fresh anchovies.... The hotel appeared to have been completely updated recently, and the rooms were very comfortable. I can highly recommend this hotel (and Eda) to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in a quiet-but-interesting seaside hotel in Vieste."

" My husband and I stayed at this property from December 27, 2023 until January 2. The first day and the moment we go to the breakfast room with our dog who is a puppy and who was calmly sitting at the table. Let me start by saying that my husband and I got up one at a time from the table to have breakfast and look at our pet. We get to the point, a waitress with light, wavy hair, shouting at us, tells us who told us to bring the dog. I would like to point out that I still have the email in which I was told that small dogs were allowed for a supplement. Let's move on, the waitress continued to scream and insinuated that the dog wasn't on a leash, I pointed out to her what that was and again he wasn't wearing a muzzle. After various back and forth we agreed that from the following day at breakfast my husband and I would go down alternately so that one of us could stay in the room with the dog, which we did, but it wasn't enough for the arrogant waitress. and came back to our table in a fury to say that we should all go to our rooms and all this while we were having breakfast. Never again in this hotel, if you don't want dogs, tell them first. We paid for him too and he couldn't stay anywhere. Shameful! I once again highlight the rudeness of the waitress."

"Unfortunately we never made it to this Sciali Hotel, without warning us they cancelled our reservation, already confirmed by them too, the reason? Because they consider a kitten, a non-domestic animal, in this hotel they discriminate even with furry friends. We have been traveling with our kitten for 9 years, a Radgol suitable for pet therapy, polite and friendly but all our reassurances were not enough and they appealed to their internal regulations, we had chosen this hotel because they accepted animals, our request was very specific and therefore it had also been confirmed by them. But in a very arrogant way our reservation was cancelled blaming Booking, which is not true, since we contacted the operators. I believe that the first thing of these hoteliers must be serious, Booking reassured me that the amount of the stay will not be charged"

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Posta Pastorella and cannot recommend it enough. The accommodation itself is beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained, featuring a gorgeous and pristine swimming pool that was perfect for relaxing. Its location is ideal—situated just outside the bustling center, offering a peaceful retreat away from the crowds while still being incredibly accessible. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. The owners and staff are remarkably friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They were always ready with great local tips, and whenever we had a question or a minor issue, they resolved it swiftly and effortlessly. Everything about our stay was smooth and seamless. An extra highlight you absolutely cannot miss is their wine cellar. It is beautifully designed, brilliantly run, and adds a unique, high-quality touch to the entire experience. Overall, a flawless stay and we will definitely be back. A well-deserved 5/5"

"Excellent location, a stone's throw from the heliport and not far from the centre. The swimming pool is comfortable, even if small. They were not very helpful at the luggage storage for a couple of nights (if you take a trip of one night or more to the Tremiti you will have to bring everything with you)"
