"My son ordered a prego from the restaurant at about 11.30 in the morning. It looked good, but after only one bite into the prego, he was so sicked by the food that he could eat no more. The meat was cold, the bread was wet and soggy. He was so put off the meal and lost confidence in the restaurant that he could not eat the chips, or salad, or even finish the coco cola, worried that the ice may be bad. We complained to the waiter but he could do nothing without the Manager's approval, we we paid and left. We had intended to return for a meal, while we stay in Vilanculos, but this experience was so bad, that we will not and feel we should warn others who may consider eating there."

Everything was excellent, starting with a welcoming reception at the airport and when arriving at the hotel: service, rooms, breakfast, restaurant, swimming pool and excursion. Let’s try their unforgettable draft local beers Kanimambo and Bazaruto! The garden rooms are actually much larger, nicer, equipped and modern than the sea view rooms, that large balconies but no separate bathroom, no inside couches and small cabinets."

"asDunas Lodge was our final stop on our Honeymoon and what a place to end our incredible trip. This place is really special, creating an intimate culture for couples while simultaneously creating a space for people from all over the world to connect with each other and each and every staff member. Starting with the friendly and complimentary airport pick up, we were welcomed with a refreshing cocktail and lunch, with the most incredible view across the ocean. Our lodge room was beautifully appointed, and with your own private terrace and pool, it really does feel like your own piece of paradise for however long you choose to stay for. We stayed for 7 nights and wanted to stay for much longer, this place really gets under your skin. The food was simply stunning - each night you're treated to a 5 course tasting menu filled with Mediterranean and local flavours, incredibly clever touches by the local head chef, the most attentive service and a wonderful wine selection. the homemade pasta courses were a particular highlight for us! The lodge managers also organised two day long boat trips for us, to visit the Islands and go snorkelling on the reefs. This was slick and the local operators really make the days worth it. Finally, the staff - to each and every person working there, thank you so much. Your kindness, friendly and warm demeanour and desire to connect with every guest was truly special and we feel so lucky to have met them all. We can feel a return visit for an anniversary being on the cards in the future."
