"Worth a stay even just for the food selection and quality"

"What a lovely place and really lovely team. No idea how they all remember every customer's names, but they do, and really care about you enjoying your stay. The food in the restaurant is delicious, cooked by a great team of trainee chefs. You can eat at the restaurant even if you aren't staying and we'd definitely recommend. We stayed for a couple of days, before heading elsewhere in Fiji, and it was a great place to start our Fiji adventure. The team arranged a lovely morning tour to the Hindu temple, town market, Sleeping Giant Garden, and the mud baths, which was great fun. Definitely a lovely place to be on a Fiji visit. You feel like you are getting a proper Fiji experience, rather than just another corporate hotel. There are only 6 rooms, each self contained with a large bed, seating area, and ensuite bathroom. There's a lovely pool, lounge and dining area. Definitely worth a stay, or book in for dinner."

"Great place to stay close to airport"

"Free round-trip airport transfer (available upon request): This needs to be booked 48 hours in advance. I emailed them this morning saying they couldn't pick me up. A taxi from the airport costs about 120 yuan. The area is quite remote; the hotel has to arrange transportation for both arrival and departure. It's more expensive than a taxi, but the cars are better, the drivers are more courteous, and you can negotiate the price. They also mentioned a paid airport transfer on the return trip, but after showing them the booking, they still arranged a free one. Facilities: Relatively old, but has a swimming pool and gym. Cleanliness: A complete mess. The room was infested with cockroaches, the bathroom was teeming with them, and there were leftover toothpicks on the floor. I slept there for three days and got bitten all over. There are a lot of insects here, ants are common. The tap water was yellow. Environment: Not far from the sea, but the beach is rough and small. It looks okay from a distance. It's a bit prickly to walk on. The weather is gloomy when it's bad; definitely avoid the rainy season. And be careful of sunburn. You absolutely need to take a taxi to get around. Just a few steps after turning left from the main gate, the path disappears, and the area is completely desolate. Once you're settled in, don't even think about going anywhere else. Service: Breakfast is a buffet; you choose your main course from the menu. The taste is average, not outrageous. There's welcome fruit. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming; in fact, almost everyone in Fiji, except for the airport staff, is friendly. Before leaving, I had a spa treatment, the $100 kind. When I paid, they said they'd given it to me for free because I hadn't had a good experience, which was quite unexpected. On the way there, the taxi driver asked me why I didn't come with my girlfriend. On the way back, I thought that if I had come with her, she would have become my ex-girlfriend. If it weren't for Ctrip's intervention, I probably would have changed hotels already. When coming to Fiji, definitely book your hotel according to the season!!!"
