"This is a little gem in the heart of Willunga. We wanted an overnight stay as we were attending the Fleurieu Beer Festival at Willunga, and this was perfect. Neat, compact, cosy and stylish, with all we needed for a comfortable stay. A light breakfast was provided, plenty of milk, juice, condiments and a pod machine. Irene was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this accommodation for a couples stay! "

"Clean and tidy accommodation. Great friendly service. Family orientated. Gym could be bigger but amazing outdoor entertainment area. Pool would be great during summer. Our room was large and I loved having the spa in a separate room to the toilet and shower. This meant kids could enjoy a spa while I could enjoy a shower in peace. 100% will be back again."

"Give this hotel a real wide berth, the place should be shut down. Staff had no idea when iwas placing my order, wait time was about an hour, way too long, food very expensive, best part of the meal was the fancy plate.The meal was very average, and they were sold out of a lot of things on the menu.Do your wallet and stomach a favour and eat somewhere else where you wont be ripped off.I will never go back there again"

"We had a great couple of days staying at Hotel California Road @ Inkwell Wines. It is a unique construction using shipping containers and it is beautifully located in the McLaren Vale region. It is close to many attractions and different towns and wineries to visit. The accommodation was very comfortable and at night the ambiance sitting on our back deck overlooking the vineyard was sensational. Staff were very helpful and assisted us in many ways. We also booked a wine tasting which was very informative and enjoyable (and we only had to walk 20 metres back to our rooms afterwards). Highly recommend this venue."

"We stayed in Unit 2, named The Black Sheep, at this Main Street apartment property in McLaren Vale. This one bedroom apartment is located at the very front of the property and the double glazed windows keep the road noise out as well as the cold. It is well furnished, spacious, comfortable and clean. There is also a nice BBQ area off the living room which we could have used if it wasn't so wet and windy. A few downsides for us; the masterbed mattress is quite soft for our liking. Secondly, the accommodation does not provide a coffee machine and for the nightly rate this is expected. Given you have to clean up & put the garbage out before vacating, coffee lovers, as many are, would be quite happy to clean the pods out in exchange for their cuppa in the morning. Overall, we had a nice stay."

"The cabin had everything we needed, it was spacious, very clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast selection, quiet location set back from the main street. Parking on site next to your cabin. Shops and restaurants on your doorstep and are easily reached by a short stroll along the main street. Irene the host was very friendly and easy to communicate with providing anything you needed."

"The room was really good, clean and priced well. It does, however, get a bit stuffy even with the aircon on. The fan needs to be on low 24/7. I had to leave the door open with the air-conditioning and fan on low at one stage. I do suffer from claustrophobia, though. The only downfall about my stay, was the parking. The carpark was always full with across the road cafe patrons. The last night I stayed I had to park around the back street and walk to the Hotel. That's a big issue for me when I have bags or cases. I had a little issue the 2nd day, but the Hotel reception dealt with it in a speedy manner and was friendly about it. Overall a enjoyable stay."

"We were met on arrival by Teresa, we thoroughly enjoyed her wine tasting session, it was relaxed and very informative. We are a family of 4 adults and had booked 2 of the beautiful rooms at Hotel California Road for an over night stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and unique as they are located in converted shipping containers. Views over the vineyards are fantastic. We had booked directly on the hotels website and a Continental breakfast in the room was included. The stay was a beautiful way to end our holiday in South Australia and I would definitely return if we ever get to visit The McLaren Vale region again."
