"The cabin had everything we needed, it was spacious, very clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast selection, quiet location set back from the main street. Parking on site next to your cabin. Shops and restaurants on your doorstep and are easily reached by a short stroll along the main street. Irene the host was very friendly and easy to communicate with providing anything you needed."

"We stayed at Hotel California Road @ Inkwell Wines over the Easter weekend for 2 nights in room 1. Overall the room was stunning with an unrivalled view over the vines. Uncovered parking was available at the front of the cellar door with each room allocated a spot right at the front. The 3 rooms are built from shipping containers and located underneath the cellar door. Rooms are accessed by a staircase off the cellar door with keycard access for hotel guests only. Our room was well appointed with comfortable king sized bed, table and chairs, couch, desk and bath in the main room. There was also cupboards with an iron, bar fridge, kettle, coffee machine with pods, tea and snacks provided. Breakfast provisions included 3 types of cereal individually portioned, bread for toast, yoghurt, milk, juice and a fruit plate. These were replenished each day when the rooms were being made up. The bathroom was spacious with double sink and double shower, however the water pressure wasn’t fantastic especially if other rooms were using the water at the same time. The bath was located in the main bedroom overlooking the vines which was lovely to take a soak in after a long day of wine tasting, although it would have been a nice touch if bath robes/ slippers were provided to move between the bathroom and bath. Each suite had a private deck which was a lovely place to have your breakfast, but it was quite windy during our stay so we sadly couldn’t use it as much as we’d have liked to. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, perfect to relax and recharge. We had a fantastic stay at the hotel however it is an expensive option particularly if you are not planning to spend long periods in the room. If you are looking for somewhere to sit back, relax, read a book and sip wine on a private deck with stunning views then this is the place for you!"

"This is a little gem in the heart of Willunga. We wanted an overnight stay as we were attending the Fleurieu Beer Festival at Willunga, and this was perfect. Neat, compact, cosy and stylish, with all we needed for a comfortable stay. A light breakfast was provided, plenty of milk, juice, condiments and a pod machine. Irene was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this accommodation for a couples stay! "

"Booking on Trip.com was smooth, although I paid up front and the hotel didn't realise this and emailed to ask me to make payment. Check-in staff were lovely, very helpful and courteous. The map with instructions to get to my room was a little hard to follow because the security door's keypad numbers were invisible in the afternoon sun until I pressed on the keypad. The single room was fine, basic but clean. I found the mattress very soft (prefer firm mattress), so my back was a bit sore. I had a great Bibimbap for dinner in the downstairs bistro and appreciated the 10% discount. There was some mechanical noise from a machine outside overnight so I didn't open the window for fresh air, though I normally would have. Great location by the sea and on Jetty Rd!"

"We had a great couple of days staying at Hotel California Road @ Inkwell Wines. It is a unique construction using shipping containers and it is beautifully located in the McLaren Vale region. It is close to many attractions and different towns and wineries to visit. The accommodation was very comfortable and at night the ambiance sitting on our back deck overlooking the vineyard was sensational. Staff were very helpful and assisted us in many ways. We also booked a wine tasting which was very informative and enjoyable (and we only had to walk 20 metres back to our rooms afterwards). Highly recommend this venue."

"Not enough towels supplied and $10 each is extra ridiculous. Why provide a coffee machine and then not supply the pods complimentary? The pool is open until 10 pm with no lights, and severe safety concerns. The hotel was nice but all these inconveniences did not justifybrhe cost. No oppertunity to purchase breakfast as Monday public holiday The digital door key did not work so had to leave our 21st party at a different venue party to check in to the hotel before staff left to ensure access to the room. Not enough product in the bathroom ie soaps, shampoos."
