The setting is superb, right within the Huaqing Palace scenic area. We didn't set out to explore the park specifically; instead, we booked the complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel. This allowed us to tour the grounds with the photographer while capturing beautiful memories. The hotel's golf carts were incredibly convenient, chauffeuring us around whether we were heading for meals, hot spring baths, a show, or ticket collection. After enjoying 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' in the evening, we leisurely strolled back to our room, which felt like an efficient way to experience Huaqing Palace. We even managed to capture stunning reflections of the starry sky on the lake.
Upon arrival, I immediately went for my photoshoot makeup and styling session. My child was in excellent hands with the hotel staff (the 'big brothers and sisters'), and I didn't have to worry about a thing – from check-in to dropping off luggage in our room, or even the room upgrade. The entire process – an hour for styling and an hour for the shoot – was incredibly efficient, significantly saving us time from our exploration of the park. We booked the 'Imperial Hot Spring Twelve Hours' intangible cultural heritage experience. Within the beautifully landscaped Chinese gardens of the hotel, we got to try lacquer fan painting and Tang-style tea ceremony. Our child gained so much from this cultural immersion. The photographer was highly experienced, and the post-production work was stunning. The makeup and styling were natural, enhancing my features without being overly dramatic, resulting in truly beautiful photos.
The hotel's private hot spring baths, complimentary drinks from the bar, welcome fruit, tea cakes, and evening snacks all contributed to a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My child absolutely loved them. When we went for a soak in the Jibao Spring hot spring in the evening, the water temperature was perfect. With the music from 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance echoing through the gardens, it was a truly multi-sensory feast for the eyes, ears, and touch. The noodles and Hulu Chicken at the hotel's Yu Shan Yuan restaurant were a big hit with my child. The restaurant's elegant decor and the opportunity to feed the koi fish in the pond at the entrance kept my child utterly captivated and wanting to linger.
During our one-day stay, we savored the hotel's beautiful day and night vistas, both inside and out. The complimentary intangible cultural heritage experiences offered by the hotel provided a deep sense of relaxation for me, and a wonderful introduction to cultural aesthetics for my child.

After spending the morning at the Terracotta Army, staying overnight at Huaqing Palace was an excellent choice. The surroundings here are absolutely stunning, and the service was exceptional. As soon as I booked, a private butler reached out to me by phone and proactively helped me book the best seats for 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow,' tailored to my preferences. The hour-plus performance, with Mount Li itself serving as the stage backdrop, was truly breathtaking. A spectacular show! There's no need to rush back to the hotel, as it's located right within Huaqing Palace. This allowed us to leisurely stroll and soak in the beautiful evening views of Huaqing Palace without any worries.
In the evening, we had the luxury of a private hot spring tub right in our room. Waking up in Huaqing Palace's Mingde Hall the next morning, our family enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the Imperial Cuisine Garden. The tranquil morning allowed us to leisurely capture photos of Fuyong Hall, Changsheng Hall, and other attractions before the crowds arrived. While the price reflects the quality (you certainly get what you pay for), the overall value for money is subjective. Our entire family had a wonderful time, and we highly recommend it!

Love the resort for the hot springs that doesn’t have much of the sulphur smell. They provide a hot dessert every night but it might be too sweet for the elderly. Fruits, water and drinks are FOC and replaced daily. The place is not really elderly friendly but they have a buggy that drives them around, they even lent us a wheelchair for our whole stay. Really appreciate the help from the butler Sun Tao for also arranging our express checkout early in the wee hours to catch our flight. The restaurant serves really delicious food but service is very inconsistent. House cleaning is not the most attentive as they keep forgetting there’s three instead of two of us staying in the room. There’s bathrobes and even a set of hotel clothes to change to for the outdoor hot spring. Room slippers and bathroom slippers are provided. There’s the usual amenities like shampoo, conditioner and shower gel from Loccitane and there’s comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. Note that the music from the 长恨歌 show can be quite loud at night. Location is near to terracotta but a distance from city center. Overall, would definitely consider going back to this hotel if I’m in Xi’an.

We booked two rooms and it was an incredibly relaxing experience from start to finish. The hotel is located inside of Huaqing Palace, a beautiful and peaceful location. The hotel staff are very friendly!
Each room has its own private spa facilities – modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The complementary Tang Dynasty travel photography experience was also awesome. The photographer from 惊鸿旅拍 is very professional. We highly recommend it.

The private hot spring room was excellent, featuring a balcony. Visiting during the off-season meant we virtually had the place to ourselves. The hotel's shuttle service was very convenient for all our transportation needs.
A significant highlight was the complimentary unlimited access for two to both Huaqing Palace and Lishan Mountain Scenic Area throughout our stay, making it perfect for couples and families. We also had one complimentary access per night to the Huaqing Royal Hot Spring Baojichi Pool for two, but unfortunately, our busy schedule didn't allow us to experience it.
**Facilities:** The furniture showed some wear and tear, likely due to its age and material.
**Cleanliness:** Overall, the hotel was very clean, and the private hot spring tub was always pre-cleaned.
**Turndown Service:** The turndown service was a delightful surprise. They even provided Tremella and pear soup. When we requested a late-night snack, they brought delicious noodles that were reasonably priced. The only minor drawback was the noise from 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance during its showtimes. However, this was within an acceptable range, and the hotel had informed us in advance, so it wasn't a significant issue.
**Breakfast:** Served at a restaurant within the scenic area. The food was decent, and with few diners on the day, the overall experience was pleasant.
**Service:** From check-in to room service, everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. It's arguably some of the best hotel service I've encountered in China.

Huaqing Yutang Hotel is undoubtedly the best hotel I've stayed at in terms of service. Every staff member, from the front desk and restaurant staff to the buggy drivers and cleaners, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, truly making guests feel at home.
The hotel is perfectly situated within Huaqing Palace, boasting delightful scenery and fresh air. A major convenience is being able to book excellent seats for the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance directly here.
Our package also included a 'mini travel photoshoot,' which was a fantastic experience; the makeup, styling, and photo results were elegantly simple yet sophisticated.
Their hot springs are truly a highlight, offering a unique chance to experience royal bath treatment firsthand. I will certainly choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an!

Every staff member I encountered at the hotel was incredibly proactive, warm, professional, and polite. Dessert was delivered to our room every evening, and the fresh fruit provided was of excellent quality, with different varieties each day. In the evenings, they would draw the hot spring bath for us and provide turndown service. The fresh flowers in our room were also replenished daily. The hot spring area was spotlessly clean and even featured a simple refreshment bar. The hotel's Chinese restaurant, situated within the scenic area, offered delicious cuisine, and hotel guests received a discount. An absolutely superb stay!
