The service was outstanding. They contacted us even before we reached Ya'an to guide us on the local roads. They waited for us at the parking lot and helped carry our luggage to the room. What's more, because it was cold, they had already turned on the heating for us. As for the environment, it was raining and foggy, so catching a glimpse of the scenery was purely a matter of luck.

It was a shame that it rained during our visit, and the fog was so thick we couldn't see a thing. The hot water in the shower barely lasted two minutes. To top it off, there was no door for the bathroom, and the breakfast was truly awful.

The hotel environment is excellent, and the butler service was top-notch. I highly recommend it.

Mount Niubei remains the premier viewpoint for Mount Gongga. We were incredibly lucky with the weather! The day before was stormy with strong winds, lightning, and heavy rain, but it cleared up beautifully the next morning, allowing us to witness a stunning sunrise, a breathtaking sea of clouds, and the majestic sun-gilded peaks. This hotel boasts the best facilities on Mount Niubei. While it is on the pricier side, it's absolutely worth every penny. The only drawback is the lack of a shuttle service. It would be perfect if they offered pick-up and drop-off.

Our first day had fantastic weather, but we unfortunately missed the sea of clouds. All we saw were snow-capped mountains against a clear blue sky, which was merely okay and not particularly impressive. Perhaps my expectations were set too high. As many other reviews have noted, the travel arrangements involved excessively long waiting times for transfers, something that definitely needs to be addressed.

The location is superb, the views are breathtaking, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. However, due to its high-altitude location, the on-site restaurant offers limited food options, and the quality often feels rather uninspired. It seems the hotel had a significant initial investment, but the ongoing maintenance has been noticeably neglected. Despite these points, it's still worth a stay. Given the challenges of operating a hotel on a mountaintop, it deserves commendation. I sincerely hope the hotel will dedicate more effort to improving both the food quality and room maintenance.

Facilities: The bathroom's shower and sink were quite rudimentary. The shower's hot water couldn't be regulated; it was scalding hot, making it virtually impossible to shower comfortably. Furthermore, there was no hot water at the sink, which was quite inconvenient. To top it off, water was constantly dripping from above the room door, making it easy to get dripped on when entering or exiting. Cleanliness: The room was reasonably clean. Environment: The overall environment was quite good, offering exceptionally convenient views of the hot springs. If you weren't keen on heading to the observation deck, you could comfortably enjoy the sights right from your room, even while relaxing in bed.

While the room itself was a bit basic, the butler service was absolutely excellent – so thoughtful and attentive. Honestly, I'd say they're a reputable establishment.

We traveled with a friend's family. When one of the kids experienced altitude sickness, the hotel staff were very helpful and assisted us promptly. The service was great. Given the limited facilities and conditions typical of a mountain location, the overall experience was still quite good. We were also very lucky to have fantastic weather!

An incredibly satisfying stay! It's truly remarkable to find a hotel like this in such a mountainous region. Within a single day, we were treated to a golden mountain sunset, a breathtaking sea of clouds, a spectacular starry sky, and a glorious sunrise. It far surpassed all our expectations!

The room was decent, with plenty of heating, but the phone signal was poor. 0/10 for the mountain UTV round-trip driving experience: The weather was terrible that day, and we asked if we could skip it. The scenic area staff told us if we didn't take the UTV, we'd have to walk. I have no idea what genius came up with such a ridiculous idea. They've completely abandoned all integrity, just to squeeze money out of day-trippers. We warned them about the dangers of the bad weather, yet they still forced us to go and sign a risk acknowledgment form. Honestly.

While the room itself isn't huge, it comes with a balcony, providing ample space to move around. The facilities are arguably the best you'll find on Mount Niubei. However, showering is still not an option, and heating water takes a considerable amount of time. This is due to the lack of a running water system; water has to be manually brought up by staff, bucket by bucket. Flushing the toilet involves scooping water with a ladle, which was quite unexpected. The toilet in our originally assigned room, 202, had been clogged by the previous guest. The hotel kindly moved us to room 206, which was much appreciated. The underfloor heating, portable electric heater, and electric blanket were all working perfectly. A slight downside was that we essentially dared not set the heating to 20 degrees Celsius; any higher temperature would trigger altitude sickness. There was no pick-up service available for the hotel; we had to walk there ourselves. So, packing light is absolutely essential. While the hotel room offered views of the sea of clouds and sunrise, the iconic 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' (Ri Zhao Jin Shan) was not visible. After exploring, we found that the rooms at the RV park on the mountain were superior. They boast private restrooms, direct window views of the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise', and are located closest to the mountain entrance, saving you an additional 400-meter climb. I paid 1881 RMB for this hotel, making it the most expensive, highest-altitude, and lowest value-for-money accommodation I've ever experienced in my life. Don't bother with dinner at the hotel restaurant; 168 RMB per person is definitely not worth it. The hotel primarily caters to tour groups, so if you arrive even a little late for breakfast, everything will be gone, leaving only scraps. Fortunately, the hotel's electricity supply and internet connection were excellent, which prevented any major disruptions.

Niubei Mountain was the first stop of our Spring Festival trip, and the hotel's amenities truly exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with two oxygen tanks and four bottles of water. Even on Chinese New Year's Eve, the price was very reasonable. My only minor complaint was that dinner consisted solely of beef hotpot, so the food options were quite limited. Fortunately, we got our wish to see the sunrise and a spectacular sea of clouds in the morning, making it a wonderful, challenging, yet joyful trip!

Niubeishan was a long-anticipated trip. To ensure a more comfortable stay, I opted for Xingpo Hotel, even though it meant giving up the tents that might have offered more picturesque photo opportunities. Room: I had originally booked the BOX Lite Twin Room, but it was incredibly small – there wasn't even enough space to open my 28-inch suitcase. I ended up paying extra to upgrade to the Cloud Villa King Room, which had a more acceptable overall environment. Bathroom: During winter, the water pipes were frozen. Hot water was only available from a bucket-style heater, which was quite inconvenient. I would not recommend showering. Transportation: Getting here is quite an ordeal. You have to park your car at the Changhaizi parking lot halfway up the mountain, then transfer to a scenic shuttle bus to continue uphill. From there, it's either a walk of over an hour or a 180 RMB UTV ride to the hotel platform for check-in. Once at the platform, it's another 10-minute walk to your room. Service: The butler was very friendly, but the driver was somewhat aloof and and even refused to help a female guest with her 28-inch suitcase. Breakfast: The breakfast was basic and not particularly good.
