"This hostel I stayed at really exceeded my expectations; I especially loved the atmosphere. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking great care of everyone, so no one felt awkward even though it was their first time there. The courtyard was spacious, perfect for sunbathing during the day or chatting in the evening. People naturally chatted and shared stories from their travels, making it feel less like a cold, impersonal accommodation and more like a small community. The biggest surprise was the mulberry tree in the courtyard! We could eat fresh mulberries every day, which was so much fun picking and eating them. And the hostel's cat was absolutely adorable and incredibly affectionate; seeing it every day brightened my mood. If you like hostels with a great atmosphere and a friendly, welcoming feel, I highly recommend this one."

It's also incredibly convenient for both the intercity bus station and the airport, making it perfect for exploring and dining out. As someone who's stayed in many hostels over the years, I'd confidently say this is the best-located hostel in Yining. The common areas are excellent, boasting a surprisingly good selection of books, and the cafe's projector is remarkably clear. It's very clean, most rooms are four-bed dorms, and having stayed for several consecutive days, I can confirm it was an excellent experience!"

"The room was very clean, the courtyard was lovely, and the guesthouse wasn't in the most bustling area, so it was very quiet at night. The owner was incredibly welcoming and gave us two plates of fruit upon check-in—they were especially delicious! The hotel provided disposable bath towels and hand towels, which were very convenient. Hot water was available right outside the door, and they even gave us a souvenir upon departure. They drove us to the bus station and helped us call to arrange a shared ride to Zhaosu. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it!"

"ATTENTION! The hotel is completely smoky, literally smelling like a *******! The smoke is very loud, so I highly recommend avoiding weekend stays. There are also sewer and flushing issues. Apparently, the toilets clog regularly. Otherwise, everything is fine. The staff is helpful, the room is clean. Pros: European-style electrical outlets, excellent location, a very beautiful park nearby, reasonable price."

The hotel's amenities are also very good, almost like a high-end hotel built by the government with significant investment. While the staff weren't overly enthusiastic, their service was professional and very much on point. Breakfast was also delicious. The price is not high at all, making it extremely good value for money."

"Even in Yining, Xinjiang, the Intercontinental Hualuxe maintains the consistent high standards of an IHG brand hotel. We traveled a long way with our friends, arriving in Yining from Urumqi after 4 PM. The lovely manager at the front desk (a Uyghur lady) immediately helped us check in. Seeing that we were a family of three with a lot of luggage, she even upgraded us to a deluxe twin room and gave us a complimentary breakfast 🍳. The hospitality of the Xinjiang people was truly evident. That evening, being unfamiliar with the area, we decided to dine at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. They offered a blend of Xinjiang and Cantonese cuisine. As someone from Guangdong, I was delighted to find an authentic 'Yang Zhi Gan Lu' (mango pomelo sago) dessert 🍨 – it was absolutely five-star amazing! We will definitely choose to stay at the Intercontinental Hualuxe again when we return from the grasslands and canyons! ~👍"

The welcome fruit was a unique selection of frozen-dried local fruit, which was delicious. I bought over a dozen boxes for friends back home. I absolutely have to give the owner a five-star rating. "It’s a newly opened store with nice decoration. It doesn’t look like a newly renovated store at all. You can tell that the owner is very attentive. We should be the first residents because the bathroom curtains were not installed, so the boss bought some stickers on the spur of the moment. There is a washing machine, which is convenient for hanging clothes. The room is relatively large and the price is much more affordable than nearby B&Bs. I believe things will get better and better."

"The hotel has a good location, situated right by the road next to a residential area. There's a convenience store nearby, making it easy to grab water and other essentials. Within a hundred meters, there are also plenty of dining options. Upon checking in, the room seemed nice; aside from some uncleaned hair in the bathroom, the overall cleanliness felt good, and the bed sheets and covers were spotless. I stayed for three nights, but on the second and third days, apart from emptying the trash, tidying the bed, and replenishing bottled water, no further cleaning or tidying of the room was done, which was a bit off-putting. So, I feel this hotel is suitable for a one-night stay, but not for consecutive nights."
