They even provided a delicious cold meal for us when we discovered the dining room was fully booked one lunch time and then closed for Sunday evening. We would definitely be happy to stay there again."

A few km from Chablis or Pontigny and its superb abbey, 15 minutes from Auxerre, a haven of calm. We really enjoyed it, the proof: we stopped there again on the way back!"

"Set in nature, this Chateau is an absolute delight. My wife, adult daughter and I loved every minute here. It was hard to leave! Both the dinner and breakfast we enjoyed while there were beyond first class--so delicious, and the service was the best of our two weeks in France. We loved the staff! We stayed in what appeared to be the carriage house--it was wonderful. The beds, living area and bathroom could not have been better. Chateau de Vault-de-Lugny is truly a special place."

Sorted my parking, booked a restaurant for me evening meal ( being a Tuesday the hotel restaurant was closed) and served me a welcoming pastis on the terrace. Immaculate room at the top of the hotel With stunning views across the village and beyond. Excellent buffet breakfast, not the cheapest but worth every franc/euro/dollar/ pound. Thank you"

"Our stay here was one of the highlights of our two weeks traveling around France. The Chateau De La Resle was is a fabulous place to stay while touring Auxerre, Chablis, Noyers and the surrounding area. The chateau itself is gorgeous, having been completely renovated with modern amenities while still keeping all of the charm of the historic property. The art collection in the chateau and on the grounds is definitely a plus if you are an art lover. The beds are comfortable with lovely pillows and quality bedding. Every little thing has been thought of from a steam iron, refrigerator, coffee making materials to a quality hair dryer with all the attachments (those with long hair understand). The breakfast was perfect! Eggs made to order, great selection of fresh breads, fruits, yogurts, granola… the list goes on. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food, setting and service were all top notch. It made for such a relaxing evening to not have to venture into town or even down the street, while still being a refined gourmet experience in a truly unique setting. The hotel manager, Rianne, was so warm and welcoming and full of excellent advice. There is a nearby abbey that is now part art museum part historic site that we would have never known of if she hadn’t taken the time to mention it to us. We will definitely stay here again if we are anywhere near this area."
