Hotels in 72 Wonder Tower/Dayong Ancient City, Zhangjiajie

Very friendly staff who kindly offered laundry service. Their WeChat account makes communication easy. The park view from the 17th floor is top tier (but you still hear the road). The room and the elevator would benefit from an in-depth cleanup.

Strongly push this newly renovated Mercure hotel! The newly renovated suite is too familiar with family travel. The living room is spacious and bright. The children play in it. It does not disturb me to rest in the bedroom. The partition design is too intimate. The service is a plus, the staff is warm and thoughtful, and the check-in to check-out are particularly smooth. The room facilities are brand new and comfortable, the stay is super safe, and the next time you take the baby, you will have to live in the past.

An amazing hidden gem of a hotel! I stay in many hotels every year and rarely leave reviews, but this one truly deserves a mention. Zhangjiajie isn't that big, so your exact location doesn't make a huge difference; there's no need to specifically look for hotels near the cable car or the 72-Peculiar Towers. Both the lobby and rooms offer beautiful river views. Downstairs, there are several well-known Zhangjiajie restaurants. The facilities are brand new, almost as if the hotel just opened a few days ago. The decor is tasteful and gives off a cozy, welcoming vibe. Breakfast is a set menu, exquisite and delicious. The service is proactive and warm; they met all our reasonable requests (we didn't try anything excessive!). All in all, it's a refined hidden gem and highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible stay - would definitely recommend!! The hosts were extremely welcoming, kind and helped us a lot with our trips around Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie National Forest - they gave us lots of information to help us get around and make the most out of our trip, and they also booked taxis for us as we didn’t have access to DiDi. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, they made every effort to communicate which we really appreciated. The room itself was large and clean - the bed was very comfortable. You also get great views of the city and the mountains. The hotel can be a little hard to find with foreign apps - if you type in “Jianing Hotel (Tianmen Aolai Plaza Dayong Ancient City Shop)” into Apple Maps, you’ll get to a big building - as you face the building, you should see a KFC on the left corner, go to the right hand side of the building and go around the corner - you should then see a doorway (above it I think it says mini hotel) - go in the doorway and on the left hand side you should see some lifts - take the lift to the 24th floor.

The room was very spacious and bright. The hotel breakfast offered a fantastic variety and was incredibly delicious! The hotel is conveniently located right next to Zhangjiajie West Station and just a short walk from the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. They also offer complimentary luggage storage, which was a huge plus! There are free laundry and drying facilities on the 8th floor, complete with small bottles of detergent and fabric softener – a really thoughtful touch! Overall, I was extremely satisfied and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

We got rooms upgraded as was low peak period. The rooms were very clean and functional but wished there were some drawers to store stuffs. It was beside a school hence need to be mindful of the timing as can be packed with school crowds and cars after school release. What amazed us most was the voice activated controls and the washers/dryers that were free of charge to use. The usage can be tracked in the Home hotel TV channel and was super efficient. Really great services from the staff as well!

Hotel was great infact, modern facilities. The room was nice and spacious however the bed double bed felt abit small. Apart from that all good. The house cleaning I would say wasn’t up to standards though because I could feel the floor wasn’t swept as I could see my own hair strands left on the floor when I combed my hair in the mornings. The front desk are really helpful, I needed to order to some takeaway and they happily did it themselves for me and sent the robot to my room. The location is about 10mins from the 72building but I found nothing else was close by.the national forest and Grand Canyon are about 50 minutes away from the hotel. Tianmen mountain is about 15minutes away. Overall a very good stay,breakfast had normal western food like bread,fruit,eggs and salad but rest were Chinese. Only thing was they didn’t have any juices instead they did have fizzy Fanta.

My stay at the Vienna Hotel was truly excellent! I stayed for two nights, and a wonderful lady at the front desk even upgraded me to a river-view room for free. The service was impeccable. The hotel offers both a washing machine and dryer, which was incredibly convenient. Its location is fantastic, very close to Tianmen Mountain. The room itself was spacious, and the shower had great water pressure. All in all, my overall experience was superb. I highly recommend everyone to stay here – this is my honest review!

Best accomodation for value, clean and receptionist is responsive, room clean daily. Only downside is cigarettes smell the moment u step out of your room but I think that’s the whole China 🙃. Location is close to the 72 story attraction that abit it, but need to taxi to the actual city centre for food and shopping

The location doesn't get any better than this if you are a tourist. The building from outside looked a bit rough at first but the rooms were perfect! Staff was polite and curteous.
