"Towards the end of the summer vacation, we visited Huangguoshu Waterfall and booked two rooms. Our stay at Kaiyuan Manju was excellent. We had requested rooms away from the elevators in advance, and Sharon from the hotel thoughtfully accommodated this. The rooms we were assigned were incredibly quiet, free from any disturbance from passing noise. Facing the lawn, the rooms offered an expansive view of lush greenery, making for a very pleasant overall living experience. The room's amenities were well-maintained, contributing to a high level of comfort. The staff provided meticulous and attentive service, noticing guests' special requests and handling the details perfectly. After a tiring day of sightseeing, returning to such a quiet room with a great view to relax was very satisfying. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Huangguoshu."

"We booked a room with a waterfall view, and to our surprise, the hotel's own waterfall viewing platform was right next to it. After spending the afternoon at Tianxing Bridge, we had dinner right there on the hotel's platform. The view was absolutely priceless; what we ate hardly mattered. We chose this hotel based on many guest reviews, knowing its advantages, but experiencing it firsthand truly saved us from unnecessary detours. The 'God's eye view' of the great waterfall is right outside the hotel's main entrance, to the right. It's less than a kilometer's walk, so there's no need to follow online guides suggesting you walk from Doupotang. If you have a reservation for Water Curtain Cave, head towards the great waterfall from the hotel's VIP通道 (VIP access). Don't buy the downhill elevator ticket, as this entire path is downhill and offers views you'd miss from the elevator. When you see the Water Curtain Cave sign halfway down the mountain, go there first. The exit of Water Curtain Cave leads you across a suspension bridge. If you're early enough and the staff haven't started their shift, you can cross the bridge directly to the bottom of the great waterfall for a front-on view. Once staff are on duty, reverse walking on the bridge is prohibited, so head towards the elevator. This path is flat. Walk to the elevator exit and then go down to the great waterfall. After enjoying the great waterfall, cross the suspension bridge towards the elevator and buy an uphill elevator ticket. If you want to return to the hotel, absolutely do not follow the park signs for the exit; that's the great waterfall visitor center, where you'd catch a bus to other scenic spots."

"How I wish there were more than five stars to give this hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, and offered a beautiful mountain views; but what truly stole our hearts were the people. The staff weren't just friendly; they were genuinely kind and warm-hearted. They helped us buy bus tickets for our next stop, not once, but twice drove us to the station, first to purchase the tickets, then again to catch the bus. And just because they cared, they even took us to a scenic area nearby. No request felt too small, no gesture too big. This place isn't just a stay; it's a memory of human kindness. I can't recommend it enough."

"They provided two complimentary tickets for the Guizhou Jiuxian Scenic Area cave tour. This place is definitely more suitable for self-driving as taxis won't go there because drivers know they'll have to return empty. Unless you're willing to pay nearly 300 RMB for a chartered car, you'll be stuck. The hygiene is good, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside is that restaurants and convenience stores are about a kilometer away, almost reaching the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The shuttle bus only starts at 11 AM, apparently due to morning traffic control, which begins at 9 AM. If you want to get to the scenic area earlier, you'll need to take a taxi. The breakfast selection is quite rich, the laundry room is convenient, and the staff are very friendly."

"We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We chose the hotel based on good reviews from past guests and its proximity to the minibus station from Anshun and the shuttle bus to the waterfall park. However, we were surprised that hot water is only available from 1930 - 2230! And even when conforming to their time frame, we had to call each time to inform them that no hot water was coming. A staff member would then show up on our floor to turn on the hot water. Secondly, our room was downgraded from top floor to the lowest floor, and the reason being it was low season and they only have that one floor in operation. Last but not least, no housekeeping was performed during our 3 day stay - trash was not cleared, toilet paper and water were not replenished until we called and requested it. The hotel seemed to be functioning with very minimum staff in attendance. The front desk lady who checked us in was very efficient in replying to our numerous messages and sorting out the problem. One positive comment: basic breakfast offered was good. The soup noodle was tasty."

After returning to the scenic area, we didn't want to go back to the hotel to retrieve our luggage, so after discussing it with the hotel front desk, a hotel staff member personally drove it to us. "This is an honest review. We booked two double rooms for two elderly people and one child. Regarding service: The hotel is located in a mountain village. No one contacted us beforehand to give directions; the navigation only led to the roadside, and we didn't see any signs for the guesthouse. We called the front desk, and they said they would send a car down to pick us up. We waited by the roadside in the sun for over ten minutes, urging them three times, before they finally sent a waterlogged electric cart. Once we got to the top of the mountain, there were only ladders, and no one helped with our luggage. When we went to check in with the elderly and the child, we asked for an extra blanket because the child kicked it off, but the front desk said they didn't have any. The room was upstairs, without an elevator, so we had to walk upstairs with our luggage. The hotel said they would provide dinner, but when we booked, they said two items were unavailable, this wasn't available, that wasn't available, and even at 7 pm, they deliberately asked which room we were in and what time we were planning to eat. The front desk staff were deliberately difficult, refusing to cooperate with any requests. We left a message saying we needed children's amenities, and the hotel replied that they could provide them, but none of them were available upon check-in. Regarding facilities, cleanliness, and environment: Dirty. The towels were blackened, and the bathtub and toothbrush cup were full of bugs. The air conditioner kept making strange noises; it was unbearably hot and stuffy when off, and unbearably noisy when on. Regarding breakfast: It's worth mentioning. The accommodation is near the scenic area, which opens at 6:30 AM, and their breakfast service starts at 7:30 AM. Those who know, know. We went to the restaurant at 7:23 AM, and an older woman was sweeping. I asked her if breakfast was available at 7:30 AM, or if she started making it at 7:30 AM. She said it was already prepared. I asked if we could eat a few minutes earlier to get to the scenic area, as it's peak season and crowded. She said no, it had to be at 7:30 AM. I immediately turned around and left with the elderly and children. It felt like I was begging for money when I paid for the accommodation. Regarding the shuttle service: The night before, we communicated with the shuttle driver, saying that we needed someone to go to the site to buy tickets for the same day (we couldn't get online tickets) by 6:30 AM the next morning. The driver agreed. Back at the hotel, we told the front desk we needed a ride down the mountain at 6:30 AM. The front desk refused outright. ? I didn't ask you to take me, the driver already agreed, and you refused without even communicating with him. Isn't that just nitpicking? I travel frequently for work, spending a third of the year staying in hotels, and this is truly the worst hotel I've ever encountered, bar none. The attached picture shows the mountain road leading to the hotel. I sincerely hope everyone avoids this place, especially those traveling with elderly people, children, or a lot of luggage."

"Yinshan Wangyue Homestay (Hidden Mountain Moon-Gazing Homestay) was definitely the most impressive, satisfying, and memorable accommodation during our 5-day Guizhou trip. We stayed for two consecutive nights, and our whole family absolutely loved it! ☺️ The homestay's overall design felt as warm and inviting as home. The room was very spacious. To the left of the entrance, there was a designated spot for luggage. Then, a large living room with a comfortable sofa and a rug came into view. Next to the sofa, there was even a cozy little tent set up for the kids, making them feel safe and secure. To the right of the sofa, a bar counter and a small refrigerator were cleverly designed, and the fridge even had complimentary cold drinks. The sleeping area featured a tatami-style setup, which was convenient for the children to get in and out of bed. The shower and toilet were separated, and there was also a bathtub. The kids absolutely loved it! ☺️ They also provided children's toiletries and disposable slippers (which were very comfortable). The 6th floor also had a gym and a laundry room (with a washer-dryer combo), all fully equipped. It was clear how thoughtfully everything was considered~ The homestay's manager (who previously worked in hotel management for a large corporation) and the lovely owner (who loves marathons and trail running) both pay great attention to detail. From the anti-collision corner protectors in the children's pool to the umbrellas and lounge chairs by the poolside, the adult and children's books arranged in the sunken reading area of the lobby, the projector setup in the leisure area, and even the cute cartoon elements on the bathroom walls that kids adore – all these details show that they genuinely care for every guest. They truly think of all these small things for everyone. Breakfast was served right at the homestay, which was incredibly convenient for our family traveling with elderly parents and children! 👍🏻 The breakfast selection was also quite rich, healthy, and nutritious~ We hope Yinshan Wangyue Homestay continues to thrive. The next time we visit Guizhou, we will definitely 'come home' again! ☺️"

"I haven't stayed in a homestay for a long time. On the recommendation of a local classmate, I stayed in a homestay called "Xiyue". The overall style is creamy and modern. The room type 🏠 I got today is on the 5️⃣ floor. The view is surprisingly good, and I can see the hillside opposite. However, it is spring now. The vegetation is not very dense, and I guess it will be a different view in summer. The design of the guest room is quite standard. It is not like most B&Bs, which are mainly for taking photos. Instead, it feels as warm as home, but it has a little more luxury than home. The hair dryer is a Dyson (basically, B&Bs rarely use it unless it costs more than 1k). For me, who likes to use high-end items, it must be a plus. But there are a few things that really make it better, shower 🚿 and toilet 🚽 The wet and dry areas are separated, and the appliances are all well-known brands. The smart toilet seat is also heated, so you will never have to stand up because of the cold when you go to the bathroom. The washing machine also has a drying function, which is a good solution to the embarrassing situation of having to use a hair dryer to dry your clothes the next day. Anyway, there is basically no problem with the room. On the contrary, many details are very meticulous. Maybe the bed is easy to bump into. The store also tied up anti-collision pads, which is indeed easy to neglect, but they were noticed in time, and they also treated every guest's feedback and their own service awareness with care. Because the room type of the day included breakfast, I went to experience it the next day. The energy needs of the day were basically met. The noodles were cooked very well. Suitable for friends who like noodle soup. Finally, this hotel is suitable for friends who are waiting to see this comment. Don't hesitate, just place an order. It's worth it only if you come. This kind of treasure B&B is one less time to stay, so believe me 🫡"
