This hotel was absolutely the right choice. To put it simply, while it's not a new hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. The lobby is beautiful, and the reception staff are professional and incredibly attentive. They were always helpful, answering all our questions and resolving any issues we encountered during our stay. The rooms are very spacious, and all the amenities are clean and hygienic. The interior decor is well-preserved, and the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation. The floor-toceiling windows offer fantastic views. The rooftop dining room has an amazing view; we ate there two out of three nights. The prices were even better than the local restaurants outside. A special shout-out to the front desk staff – their service was exceptional!

🏩 FANTASTIC PREMIUM hotel with outstanding service and a perfect location — close to West Street and the Impression Liu Sanjie show, yet peaceful and surrounded by mountains. An absolutely stunning view of the mountains. 🗻🗻🗻 100% Special thanks to our housekeeper, Xiao-Lu, for her kindness and help with everything, especially arranging great tickets for the show. We also truly appreciated the room upgrade — the rooftop jacuzzi room was incredible. Delicious breakfasts and dinners, excellent coffee, cozy atmosphere, and convenient motorbike rental nearby. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely stay again! Recommend 200% !!! 🥰

The hotel's location is pretty good, very close to the scenic area, just a few minutes drive away. My friends and I came to Guilin for a trip and after comparing several hotels, we decided on this one. It exceeded our expectations! The dry and wet separation design is very thoughtful, and the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard. I had a great night's sleep and felt refreshed. They also have a self-service laundry room, which is super convenient for lazy people like us, haha. The snacks and coffee in the lobby are good too!

My stay this time was exceptional. It's rare to receive such thoughtful care at a hotel. The front desk staff who checked me in was a lovely and gentle young woman. She communicated with me in detail before check-in, fully accommodating my actual needs. After helping me with check-in, she enthusiastically helped move my luggage to the room and explained the room layout and where things were located, making me feel right at home. The room itself was clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable stay. When I checked out, she even helped me communicate with the local driver, which greatly reduced my travel stress – I'm especially grateful to her! The auntie at breakfast on the 27th was also very kind and thoughtfully helped guests season their Guilin rice noodles. Additionally, the hotel's location is excellent. It's very convenient to walk to attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, Jingjiang Prince City, Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area (Twin Pagoda Park), and Zhengyang Pedestrian Street. Plus, it's not too far from both Guilin Station and Guilin North Station.

The hotel is pretty good, close to all the attractions. There are electric scooters right outside the entrance, you can just scan one and go everywhere. However, be careful where you park it; it must be in the designated area. I, for one, forgot to park it in the designated area and got fined! The owner also gave us recommendations for nearby attractions, which was a nice touch!

The hotel was clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient. I really enjoyed the breakfast too. I especially loved the bed – it was so comfortable to sleep in. There was no noise at all, which made for a very pleasant stay. The front desk staff were really friendly and even provided bottled water, small drinks, and snacks. I was satisfied with everything. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time. The tatami room window was frosted, which was fine by me as I just wanted to rest after work. If that's an issue for you, I'd recommend booking a double room instead.

Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

The hotel room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable with soft linens, perfect for a good night’s rest after a long day. The room had decent lighting, quiet air conditioning, and all basic amenities including hot water, toiletries, and free Wi-Fi that worked smoothly. The space was tidy, with enough storage and a small seating area to relax. The bathroom was modern. The mountain views was spectacular. Overall, it’s great value for money, comfortable, and I would happily book this room again.

Everything from the accomodation to the view, the service and the food were excellent! Would say that Liangsu Shewang Honglvpai Hotel (Yangshuo Shili Gallery Yulong River Branch) exceeds 5 star hotels in certain aspects. The service team is so helpful, delivering takeouts straight to our room, and even booked a DiDi for us when we were facing an issue with the app. Our photographer Xiao Mo took some really lovely photos of me and my fiancee (not shown here, but the photos you see online are true to it!) Would highly recommend spending a night or 2 here when you are in Yangshuo. For the level of service and quality, they are actually really value for money!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They patiently guided us to the parking lot and even had an attendant park our car for free. The room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeping staff were also very enthusiastic and helpful. Since it's raining in Guilin now, working out in the gym is a great option. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to ZhengYang Pedestrian Street, where you can find all sorts of food and local specialties.

GGuest UserYangshuo Accommodation | The Ultimate Value-for-Money Gem on West Street – You Won't Believe It! 😭 Seriously, to everyone visiting Yangshuo, listen up! Don't just pick any hotel! I've stumbled upon BO·PO Hotel, and it's an absolute must-stay! Location and experience both get a perfect 100% 💯 It's hands down the best option for accommodation when exploring West Street!! Who can resist the joy of West Street being right at your doorstep?! The hotel is right in the heart of West Street, literally steps away from snack streets, creative shops, night markets, and bars. You can easily find Beer Fish, Luosifen (snail noodles), and all sorts of Yangshuo specialty snacks just by walking out. When you're tired from exploring, you can just pop back to the hotel and relax, no need for a long trek back – it's incredibly convenient 🥳 What truly blew me away was the unique tranquility amidst the bustling city. Downstairs, West Street is buzzing with lively energy, but inside the room, it's incredibly quiet. The soundproofing is amazing; you can't hear any of the street noise. You can lie in bed and peacefully admire the stunning karst peaks. Enjoying the lush green mountains by day and drifting off to sleep in silence at night truly elevates the vacation vibe ✨ The location is truly unparalleled! For all my sisters planning a trip to Yangshuo and wanting to stay on West Street, just blindly book this one! Style, location, service, and value for money – it's got it all. It's a hidden gem that won't disappoint, truly worth every penny 💫 #YangshuoHotel #YangshuoWestStreetAccommodation #YangshuoTravelGuide #GuilinAccommodation #AffordableHotels #YangshuoTravel #InfluencerHotelRecommendation #BOPoHotel

GGuest User”Extra-Large Bathtub” doesn't even begin to describe how incredibly large this bathtub was. It was more like a swimming pool. I was in heaven. I loved this hotel, the desk staff don't speak any English but they have these little ai-translation hand held devices (picture a dictaphone that translates) and are extremely helpful with a can-do attitude. I had some urgent documents I needed delivering and the staff were beyond helpful with that, I am very grateful to them. Also upon check-in they bumped me up to a suite (I didn't ask they were just being nice) and holy moly what a room. It was fabulous. The styling of this place is very old colonial palace vibes, I know they have some history displays up relating to the war but I didn't look into it, but it had a very classic airy vibe with traditional furniture and styling and I loved it. Some elements are a bit careworn and showing their age, but everything was immaculately clean. So, yes some elements like the carpeting may have seen better days but it's due to age rather than lack of attention, everything that mattered was sparkling. My shower could have fit about 5 people in there, and the bathtub another 6, so that was a real highlight, but the location was superb as well, it is on a private little resort island right next to the lake where the pagodas and bridges are. There is an easy access exit gate to the lakes, however I think it was run by the other hotel on the island because my key card didn't work late at night, however I must admit I had had a few and maybe wasn't the most able bodied reviewer in that moment. I recommend asking the staff because each night after the lake show with the performance and music lots of families were coming in that back way, so it's definitely possible I was just un-prepared. Regardless, even if you get locked out it's a short walk around to the other side of the island and the gatemen are very friendly. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel although it is not technically run by the hotel which just means it closes slightly earlier (much later than anywhere in Europe still), and when I went in the staff were just sitting around so I wasn't sure if they were open, but when they saw me they sprang into life and actually the older ladies spoke quite a lot of English and were very chatty and friendly, and they also have an iPad with an English ordering app so it is a breeze eating there. The food was very high quality and delicious, it was more expensive than eating in town but I would not say over priced given how good it was. The bar in the hotel is also nice. You can get delivery food brought directly to your room which is also excellent. They don't have room service food but why would you bother when delivery is available. The hotel has a private drive way so getting picked up for excursions or Didi rides is so easy, and the area is beautifully quiet and there are lots of birds. It is very close to all the attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, which makes doing things (or retreating home due to the fearsome heat) very easy. I will warn you the hotel is nicely airy in the way old villas in Europe are, but because of that your air conditioning will never match that kind of incredible ice cold blast you might be familiar with in Hong Kong. Obviously, this is a very small problem when you can easily cool off in the mega-bath or mega-shower or just sit at a comfortable level of air conditioning, but if you are the kind of foreign traveller who is unaccustomed to the strong heat just be aware that this is a vintage place so you won't be able to whack the AC down to 15c and freeze yourself for relief. I really recommend this hotel, it was absolutely lovely. Oh also there is a lovely jovial old man who comes round in the evening to deliver you milk at bedtime every day, what a guy.

GGuest UserGuangxi is such a pleasant place. After attending a concert in Nanning, I thought I'd come to Yangshuo for a vacation. For me, a good hotel can meet many needs. From hardware to software, thoughtful service makes you feel more at ease. From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt that thoughtfulness. I'm quite a stickler for details. The hotel's cleanliness, the maintenance of its public areas, and even the toiletries are all meticulously chosen. The refrigerator, kettle, and hairdryer are all carefully prepared and not just thrown in. Also, the bathrobe is incredibly comfortable! That's a rare find! I booked a room with a terrace, and sitting there in the afternoon or early morning, you can really feel the tranquility of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and there was also an afternoon tea (the desserts were tasty too). Initially, when I came to Yangshuo, I only felt that the scenery was beautiful. But staying at this hotel, I truly realized that even in such a so-called 'paradise,' you can experience a different, perhaps even more luxurious, feeling. Honestly, if you want an excellent experience when you come to Yangshuo, you can choose this hotel. It's incredibly convenient whether you're going to eat at Ten-Mile Gallery or explore the old town. More importantly, the scenery viewed from within the hotel is absolutely twice as wonderful, without the crowds and noise (a true resort destination!). You really can fall in love with a city because of a hotel. Everything above is my genuine feeling. The hotel's attention to detail is truly heartfelt, especially the large public lawn in front of the hotel, which gives a very relaxing and pleasant feeling. Considering the guest's experience, thumbs up! (I'll attach some photos, all from my personal experience, for your reference.)

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

GGuest UserOur stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and very comfortable, giving us great peace of mind. It was also wonderfully quiet, as there weren't many guests. The beer-braised fish at the downstairs restaurant was incredibly fresh and flavorful – absolutely delicious! The guesthouse even has its own little bar, serving up tasty cocktails in a lovely atmosphere. And the small courtyard with its beautiful scenery shows how much thought and care went into everything. Overall, the experience was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

JJingcaixiaoyaojingThe room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. AAnonymous UserA trainee checked us in and assigned #1005. Upon entering, we noticed a strong cigarette odor. The front desk was courteous and offered two alternative rooms, but both had similar lingering smells. Housekeeping provided an air purifier, which helped somewhat. We also observed guests smoking in the hallway, so the odor seems to be an ongoing issue. As non-smokers who are sensitive to smoke, this was a significant drawback and not something we typically encounter with international hotel brands. There was also some confusion during payment. After showing us the rooms, the trainee realized we had not been charged and brought a POS machine to the room, which did not have a signal. We eventually had to go downstairs and complete three separate transactions via Alipay. Note that Alipay charges a ~3% service fee on transactions over ¥200 when using international cards, which may be inconvenient for some travelers. I have been using my Visa at global hotel brands for over a month and encountered no issues. One frustrating moment was when housekeeping insisted there was no cigarette odor. We understand that perceptions may differ, but it’s important to acknowledge guest feedback, especially for those sensitive to smoke. The bed was comfortable, and sound insulation was average. Despite being on the 10th floor, we could hear traffic noise as well as our neighbors talking and moving furniture. Wi-Fi was also quite slow (2.4 GHz only), with speeds in the teens for both upload and download. Light switches were complicated with options like London, Paris. New York, etc. The hotel isn't a new built and used to be another hotel as you can see from their mugs, towels, etc. Note to myself to book for newly built, not newly opened. The hotel offered us a complimentary breakfast on the 12th floor. The selection was primarily Chinese (about 95%), with minimal Western options. None of the items were labeled, which could be challenging for international guests and those with dietary restrictions. Laundry service is available, either self-service or through staff. However, communication was difficult and the interaction felt unnecessarily complicated. The staff who collected our clothes was talking so loudly that my husband thought we were arguing. In hindsight, we should have done the laundry ourselves The hotel is within a 10 minute walking distance to a food street that has tons of eateries that locals go. It will be difficult to order in non Chinese. Overall, the hotel does not appear to cater well to non-Chinese-speaking guests. Per my husband, despite using the translation app, basic requests (asking for an umbrella) were difficult without Mandarin, which made the experience more tiring. During check out, the front desk offered some dried fruit as a gift and reminded us to give a 5 star rating on everything. This is a common request as we experienced it at a previous hotel. This is our 4th local hotel throughout the 6 weeks visit in China. In summary, while the stay was acceptable, the persistent cigarette odor and communication challenges would prevent us from choosing a similar local hotel again.

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment is comfortable, and both the open-air pool on the ninth floor and the terrace offer beautiful views. The staff are proactive and friendly, always trying their best to assist with any requests. The front desk provides free tea and fruit, and a simple late-night snack is offered in the evenings. The hotel even gave us a mugwort meridian hammer as a souvenir. What I liked most was the laundry service; they wash and dry your clothes and then deliver them to your room door, saving a lot of time and hassle – very thoughtful. Transportation is also convenient; it's not far to take a taxi to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes, and you can rent electric bikes nearby. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

GGuest User🚗Convenience: I drove from Chengdu to Guilin with a friend's family. The journey was long, so we decided to stay at Longji halfway up the mountain as our first stop. After looking around online and communicating with the boss, we chose Yunman! When we parked at the foot of the mountain and walked to the parking lot, the owner was already waiting for us at the door, which was very thoughtful. 🛏️Beauty: When we arrived at the accommodation, we were attracted by the scenery in front of us. Outside the balcony was the terraced fields. We drank tea and ate with the breeze on our faces. It felt very comfortable. We told the boss that we were tired from the journey and we were going to take a break and go fishing. The boss also contacted Baba Shishi for us. 🌄Excellent location: It is very convenient to walk to the scenic spots on both sides, and the night stroll in the village next to it is also very close. We went to the Jiulong Wuhu Observation Deck first because we were going to catch fish. The children walked barefoot on the stone road, and wild strawberries could be picked everywhere on the roadside. They were so sweet, the scenery was beautiful, and it was a surprise~ The adults had more fun than the children in the fishing activity😂 🏡Comfortable: We booked a twin bed, the room is spacious and bright, the balcony has unlimited scenery, the night is lit by candlelight, the stars are twinkling, and tourists who hike at night walk with flashlights. Apart from the darkness, there are moving lights as companions, as if you are in the starry sky. As a background for the balcony, it is simply amazing, haha. My friend didn't have much expectations for the terraced fields, but when he arrived during the flooding period, he got used to it, and it was also beautiful. My friend felt very good and the experience was full! 🥗Delicious: We ordered the meal directly in the restaurant. The boss asked the restaurant chef to cook the fish we caught for us. We originally wanted to do it ourselves, but our husband talked to the chef and withdrew because he felt that the chef was very professional. The chicken tasted great in two ways. This meal was the best we had on the way, bar none. The rice wine was delicious. It was a pity that we didn’t eat the snails recommended by the boss. When we left, the boss sent us to the parking lot. Next time we go, we will go there to have a good time! 👏Very good accommodation environment, with natural white noise to help you sleep at night. Both adults and children slept comfortably and woke up feeling refreshed. Yunman Tianjian is highly recommended!
