I was here for the Jishukan High School Jishusai festival and forgot my slippers, so I just wore the hotel's. My room had a direct view of Toyohashi Station platforms, but the soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was quite extensive and very delicious. Not only did it have all the usual offerings, but also local specialties like Toyohashi curry udon and chikuwa (fish cakes), and there were even two different kinds of chikuwa! They were really tasty, and it meant I didn't have to go out and buy the now-pricier chikuwa. My only slight disappointment was that the curry udon was cold. Also, the entrance on the first floor that connects to the station was under renovation, and it wasn't as obvious, similar to the steps where Lao Ba eats takoyaki.

The room had three single beds, which were quite comfortable. However, it was clear the triple room was originally a twin room with an added bed, not designed as a triple from the start, as it was so cramped there was no space to open our luggage.
The view was excellent, which is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Being able to overlook the Nagoya night view and lying in bed watching the city lights was a real mood booster.
There's a 'SPA room' at the hotel, but it's really just a public bath, and a very small one at that. There weren't even towels available, which made drying off inconvenient. There are no actual spa services; it's just a bathhouse.
The restaurant is on the 18th floor (the lobby level) and also offers great views. Breakfast is a set meal (one dish per person) supplemented by a buffet of side dishes. The pastries were good.
This Mitsui hotel is located in the Symphony Toyota Building. On the ground floor, just off the elevators, there's a door that leads directly to the underground mall. This underground passage connects all the shopping areas around Nagoya Station and also goes straight to Kintetsu and Meitetsu Nagoya Stations. It's much more convenient to use the underground path if you're heading to the station (be sure to ask the front desk for a paper map, as the wall maps don't have English, and it's easy to get lost underground if you can't read Katakana and go the wrong way).

The Hotel was a lot better than I expected. I’ve been reading a mixed reviews of the hotel, bad and good, but when we got there, we were met by the amazing and kind staffs that accommodates our needs. Though most of staffs does not speak English, they still try their best to communicate in english and they even have a small translating device to use for themselves which just proves how hospitable they are.
Room is small but it is cleaned every day and is enough for 2 persons. Towels and bathroom amenities are replaced every day and Beds are made every day. The only thing that I noticed is that they don’t replace the Coffee cups inside so we have to clean in the sink everytime we need to use it. But overall service was great. Pajamas are also available downstairs and other amenities such as toothbrush, comb, razor.
Airconditioning is centralized and you cannot manually adjust the temperature, you can only switch either Low, Mid, High.
Heater from the bathroom is a bit hard to adjust, a few twist in the faucet it will become very hot.
You can also rent a few things in the hotel. You have to leave the key everytime you go out.
The Hotel might be old but it provides everything that you need and it’s still a decent accommodation to stay in. We really had a pleasant stay for an 8 days stay.

This was our second stay at JR Gate Tower Hotel Nagoya, and it's fantastic. The hotel is located right above Nagoya Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. They even have a kids' play area on the 7th floor! The lobby is super modern, and the front desk staff are really welcoming and enthusiastic. Our room was clean and tidy, with a great separation between the shower and toilet/sink area, and the toiletries were from POLA. It's such a great hotel, we'll definitely be staying here again in the future.

The hotel is located near Nagoya Sakae Station, about a 3-minute walk after exiting the station. It offers incredible value for money. Firstly, its downtown location provides excellent transportation links. Secondly, the hotel's facade and decor are so impressive that I had to double-check several times upon arrival to confirm it was indeed the hotel I booked. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were sufficient. While breakfast isn't included, there's a great restaurant in the hotel lobby, and Sakae Station and its surroundings boast numerous restaurants and shops, making it very convenient.
I arrived at the hotel around 8:00. The female manager was waiting for me at the door, saying, ”Finally, we've been waiting for you.” I checked in. The room was very large, with nearly ten spaces. I walked around the hotel for a few times but didn't see anyone. It felt like I was the only guest there. The unique design of the hotel created a magical atmosphere. The rooftop hot springs were large and comfortable. I soaked for an hour without seeing anyone else. It was wonderful. All the windows in the room faced the sea. The breakfast was a bit simple, though.

The mattress was very comfortable; I slept soundly during our two-night stay with my family of three. It’s a nice hotel, quiet despite being in a bustling area. Getting here from Centrair airport is super convenient – just one direct bus stop, no need to transfer to the subway. Just a heads-up, make sure to check the bus schedule carefully. We missed our bus by literally a minute and even ran to the wrong exit. We watched it pull away right on time, not a second late. I was so out of breath from running but still couldn't make it – quite an unforgettable experience!
Everything is perfect except that my toilet has no door and directly in front of the door 😹 But since I traveled alone, I had no problem. But then, I found coffee stains below my table and it was sticky all over the information book 🥲 I love their 11:00 am check out policy though and their phone charger service so I will definitely come back!! Thank you 🫶🏻
The ocean-view hot springs are truly a unique experience. Lying in the cypress-clad hot spring, I could feel the breath of the ocean, the cries of seagulls mingling with the sound of the tide, filling my ears with a three-dimensional soundscape. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms made it possible to drift off to sleep. Late at night, when moonlight bathed the ocean, the view from the room was a breathtaking spectacle, the moonlight pouring down like water, the endless sea, the shimmering sponge reflecting the twinkling light of the lighthouse. The cuisine was all directly sourced from the hotel, the shrimp sashimi was as sweet and glutinous as agar-agar, and the grilled abalone was delicious. The staff were warm and attentive, their faces brimming with smiles, always ready to respond to any requests. I finally understood why the 'one-time encounter' service aesthetic is so ingrained in our DNA.
I believe if you experience this once, you'll fall in love with the entire Ryugu Hotel and the sea at Ebisu Beach.

GGuest UserHotel is conveniently located near Nagoya Station (Shinkansen side). The hotel truly lives up to its name with its comfortable and clean environment! Love the variety of food served for breakfast each morning! The library cafe has a lovely pleasant environment with Muji vibes! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Nagoya! ◡̈
AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely superb. There's a tempura restaurant right downstairs, and a huge Aeon supermarket next door where you can find virtually anything you need. Kanayama Station is just across the road, offering convenient access to both subway and JR lines, plus general shopping options. It's also not far from the airport. Aside from the room being a bit small, the value for money is unbeatable.
MM370853****A truly excellent stay! It's just a 6-minute walk from Nagoya Station, very well-signposted, and surrounded by numerous izakayas, making the location absolutely superb. Both the capsule pod and bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning, so cleanliness is definitely not a concern for those on a one-night stopover. My only minor complaint was the extremely unstable Wi-Fi signal within the hotel. It was so unreliable that I sometimes missed important information. I hope the hotel can address this issue.
Wwinewine99The hotel is really close to the subway station, about a four to five-minute walk. I didn't pay attention when I booked, and this particular street is a bit... 'special' at night, haha, but it's not a huge problem.
Right downstairs, there's a Lawson and a FamilyMart, plus a Matsuya fast-food restaurant. There were also several highly-rated restaurants nearby, but I didn't have time to try them!
It's about six or seven subway stops from Nagoya Dome, no transfers needed, and takes around 20-30 minutes, which is quite convenient!
The front desk staff were very friendly, but the check-in time is strictly enforced – only from 3 PM. There's a seating area nearby where you can wait, and breakfast is even included! Though I didn't actually eat it.
The room is small but has everything you need. It's perfect for one person, no big issues! If you're coming to the Dome for a concert, you might want to consider this place! 🫶🏻
AAnonymous UserI always choose to stay here the night before flying back home from Nagoya Airport. It's close to the station, and it's convenient to catch the Kintetsu line to the airport. Especially with rising prices, this hotel offers a really friendly price point, plus they include breakfast and value-added services like welcome drinks.
LLiwei9lvyouI've stayed here twice. This hotel is very close to Nagoya Station, making transportation convenient, and the surrounding area has extensive commercial facilities.
I stayed in a twin room, which was 19 square meters with two 1-meter beds. The room was small, but you could open two 20-inch suitcases. As expected, hotels in Japan are always clean.
Check-in is after 3 PM. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage and go out to explore.
Check-out is at 10 AM. Japanese hotels definitely don't have the same flexible check-in/check-out times as hotels in China.
66665****The facilities are brand new and spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also appreciated that children stay free of charge and breakfast is complimentary. The only minor downside is its distance from the subway station, which is about a 10-minute walk. However, a taxi ride is quite affordable, usually costing around 20-something RMB.
LLAY HUABreakfast only 3 fix selections & have to inform them the night before to collect the voucher & decide on the option.
Amenities can be collected beside the reception before going to the room.
About 10 minutes walk to Sakea mrt station.
There is airport transfer bus service to and fro near sakae station & bus terminal.
There are 7 eleven & family mart nearby & 24 hrs Yilan ramen restaurant right outside the hotel.
Some noise pollution cause is near the road & night entertainment place.
Overall, the place is nice & cozy.
AAmeliaKuruKaraPros:
1. Room and toilet is clean. Amenities is also provided but require to take from the lobby which I feel is good.
2. Located 5 mins walk from exit 3 of Metro Fushimi Station. There is also a bus stop along the way which can brings you to Sakae area and other spots. Otherwise, walking to Sakae area is doable as well. Additionally, along the way to hotel, will spot the scenic spot of Science Museum.
3. I had opted to walked to Osu Shotengai Street from hotel. As is autumn, the route along the way was great as will pass by a park with great scenery and people.
4. Lots of restaurants/eateries, convenience mart and drug store nearby.
5. Breakfast was provided and not bad for my taste even though almost the same everyday. There is a tea/coffee/water section where is provided for free.
6. Soundproof was actually good to my surprise.
Cons:
1. Room is quite small. I had brought 2 medium and 1 small luggage but only manage to open half of the 2 medium luggages. Barely able to walk and nearly trip on the luggage.
2. The hotel lobby is located at level 2 and require to take the lift. Believe was due to Japan public holiday or is a holiday season, the hotel was quite packed during my stay. At night when back to hotel, there was long queue to take the lift despite having 2 lifts.
3. Same goes for breakfast area, if you are eating after 8am onwards, too pack and the seating place are too limited.
4. Nothing much on the view as I had gotten a room with no views and overseeing opposite rooms only.
Overall, despite the small room size and others, actually I find this hotel to be nice to stay at. I definitely recommend to stay at this hotel despite there are only few minor cons.
