Sikandra Fort

#thingstodo This is a lovely place indeed. Beautifully laid out amidst a huge garden. it's located close to Agra on the old Delhi-Agra highway. I really enjoyed the serene atmosphere of this monument. The monument could be much grander if the maintenance of the main monument was somewhat better. There are huge water channels and fountains which are now dry. There is small building devoted to photos and write ups of the mughal dynasty and also gives more details about the monument and it's architecture. A very well maintained tourist place. Must commend UP tourism department for keeping its upkeep. The full Fort area is covered by boundary so that no stray animal or any kind of unwanted people can't enter without authorization. The entrance is done through online payment and using QR code. Perhaps a little bit of upgrade is required there (because payment through UPI doesn't work properly, it failed for me through Amazon Pay), otherwise this trip was a delight. Nice place to enjoy your evening. Very neat and clean premise, big signature Mughal style gardens. It's not as grand as compared to other forts but still an architectural marvel. It's recommended to hire guide to get the proper feel of this place.
