Three historical sites hidden in the city! A must-visit for Haikou's cultural tour

⭕️Qiongtai Fudi 1️⃣ In the history and culture of Haikou, Qiongtai Fudi holds an unshakable position. It has accompanied this land for more than a thousand years, recording the prosperity and vicissitudes of several dynasties. 2️⃣ People give it the honor of 'Fudi', which is more of a hope and expectation. 3️⃣ Qiongtai Fudi is now located in Guandi Lane, Wenzhuang Road, Qiongshan District. Through the narrow Guandi Lane, it takes a few minutes to reach Baoyue Mountain. After twenty-seven steps, Fudi Pavilion appears in front of you. 4️⃣ Behind Fudi Pavilion is Qiongtai Pavilion. In the backyard, there is a wall with a huge golden 'Fu' character in the middle, with a golden dragon dancing on it. 5️⃣ The last one is the rebuilt Guandi Temple. The magnificent Guandi Hall is located on the north side of the courtyard. In the main hall of the temple, there is a majestic Guandi sitting in the shrine. * ⭕️ Drum Tower Street·Tower 1️⃣ Turn into Drum Tower Street from Wenzhuang Road, and you can see the Drum Tower spanning in the gap of the buildings along the small street. 2️⃣ Arriving at the bottom of the city wall, climbing up the large stone steps, the vicissitudes and heaviness of history come to your face. 3️⃣ The Drum Tower of the city was called Qiaolou in the Yuan Dynasty, and later it was called Wenming Tower, which has undergone many renovations. 4️⃣ The front and back door plaques of the Drum Tower are engraved with the big characters 'Hainan Zhuangguan' and 'Qidian Wenming', which seem to represent that the Drum Tower is the representative building of the city, and even Hainan. * ⭕️ East Gate Inside·Wall 1️⃣ Walk along Wenzhuang Road to the east end, and there is East Gate Inside under a steep slope. 2️⃣ East Gate Inside, also known as East Gate Street in ancient times, is famous in the history of the city and is an important street for entering and exiting the city. 3️⃣ East Gate Inside is several hundred meters long, only a little wider than the average alley. There are many shops here, and the crowd is very lively, so lively that you can't see any traces of the old city. 4️⃣ If you go further, you can see two ancient city walls, or the remains of the city gate, not far away - if it weren't for the existing old city wall, it would be hard for later generations to imagine that this was once the east gate of the city. 5️⃣ The East City Gate was built in the Ming Dynasty and was once a major transportation route into the city.
