Kaifeng Qingming Outing

April 5th itinerary: Kaifeng Mansion - Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden The overall feeling of the second day's visit: I sincerely advise everyone not to travel to KF during the near future or holidays, as the experience is really not there. First of all, the management of the scenic area and the city is quite chaotic, with vehicles parked everywhere at the entrance of Kaifeng Mansion, which is particularly messy and crowded. It might be due to the city's overall limited capacity to receive tourists, which causes chaos when a large number of tourists flood in. However, I also want to mention that the electric tricycles ridden by the elderly on the streets are really running wild, and traffic lights don't seem to serve much purpose 😂. 1. The ticket for Kaifeng Mansion 🎫 was purchased online for 60, and the attraction is quite average, mostly built later with no real highlights. The main reason to visit is just because you're already there; otherwise, I really wouldn't want to go in and stroll around; 2. Had iron pot stewed noodles at a restaurant in Drum Tower Square for lunch, which tasted pretty good, better than the potstickers from yesterday 👍; 3. It took about fifteen minutes to ride a shared electric bike from Drum Tower Square to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. The traffic was especially heavy when approaching the attraction, and it was very congested, so I don't recommend taking a taxi there; 4. Arrived at the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden's welcome gate around 2 pm, and it was really crowded, just as exaggerated as described online. The scenic area is very large, but even so, the visitors were not dispersed, and every corner was packed with people; 5. 💡💡The highlight of today's visit... Due to the crowd, I didn't plan to specifically watch a few popular shows. When passing by the 'Fly Over Qingming Riverside Painting', I thought about queuing for an hour to experience it, but the staff said it would take at least two and a half hours. Of course ⚠️, this is not my main complaint. The show is similar to a panoramic movie like 'Soaring Over the Horizon', lasting eight minutes, but the scenic area schedules it every half hour (does it really take twenty minutes to prepare each time 😤😤?). During the holiday season, there are naturally more visitors, so why can't the scenic area add more performances? Of course, that's still not my main complaint. The point is, after waiting for more than half an hour, the staff announced that the machine was broken and being repaired, and told the people behind not to queue anymore, perhaps they also didn't know how long the repair would take, sigh... 6. For those who want to see 'The Defense of Tokyo': The afternoon show starts at 4:30, and by 3:00, when I got near the performance area, it was already packed with people, and there was no place to be found even on the edges and corners. At that time, there was still an hour and a half before the show started, sigh 😑... (It is said that another popular show also filled up more than an hour in advance 😢); 7. Fortunately, I bought tickets for the 'Dream of the Great Song Dynasty Tokyo' (A zone tickets for 299 per person, including the scenic area ticket), and the overall performance was okay. The ticket price was not cheap, but this was the only complete performance I saw during my visit to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden; 8. The lantern exhibition at Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden is quite recommended at night, it's pretty after the lights are on, recommended 👍. After exiting the welcome gate at 9:30 pm, I took a night cruise on the Imperial Canal from the dock on the right-hand side, Qishengjiao Wharf, which goes directly to Xisi Wharf. Nearby is the Xisi Night Market, recommended, to avoid the traffic jam at the entrance of Qingming Garden. Considering today's experience at Qingming Garden, I have canceled tomorrow's trip to Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City. Tomorrow, I will rest at the hotel for the morning and just visit the museum before heading back.
