Kashan, Iran | Check in at the Fin Garden, beloved by Persian monarchs

✈️ After landing in Tehran, without any rest, I took a 2.5-hour bus ride directly to Kashan. 🚩 Kashan is known as an oasis in the desert, famous for its roses. The most renowned attraction here is the Fin Garden, which is considered a paradise in the eyes of Iranians. In fact, the word 'paradise' originates from Persian, where they believe that a place with water and gardens, secluded from the mundane world, is paradise. 🏡 Fin Garden, pronounced Bagh-e Fin in Persian, is named after a village called Fin nearby. It is a historic Persian garden. 🎙 It is said that it might have existed before the Safavid dynasty, but the current buildings were completed in 1590 under the rule of Abbas I. Later monarchs, such as Fath-Ali Shah Qajar, expanded it. It is the oldest surviving traditional Persian garden in Iran and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012. ⛲️ The garden features various pools and fountains, with water sourced from the nearby Suleimanieh mountain spring. Its unique irrigation system allows the mountain spring water to flow into the pools and irrigate the plants without any pressure tools. 🏰 The garden's architecture includes the main entrance, walls, bathhouses, the private residence of Emperor Abbas, museums, etc. It is a must-visit spot for tourists in Kashan. It is recommended to use a wide-angle lens to better capture the beauty of Persian architecture. 🦹‍♀️ Iranian children are very enthusiastic and not shy. When they see Chinese people, they come up to take photos with you. A dozen kids took turns, and I almost missed the departing bus. 🌟 There are also two ancient mansions in Kashan, which belonged to local merchants. They look ordinary from the outside, but once you step into the courtyard, it's a whole different world, definitely worth a visit. 💰 The entrance fee for Fin Garden is 2 US dollars for foreigners. It's very cheap for Iranians. Chinese tour guides charge 100-200 US dollars/day during the peak season, and 30-100 dollars/day during the off-season. English tour guides charge 60-100 dollars/day during the peak season, and 30-60 dollars/day during the off-season. Package deals are even cheaper.
