Ogakiku is a Japanese restaurant at Kawagoe. It takes about 1 hour 20 mins train ride from Shin-Okubo station, Tokyo. When we reach Kawagoe station, it’s take about 10 mins walk from the station to the restaurant. You can take number to wait for your turn. Ogakiku first opened about 200 years ago in 1807, in the second half of the Edo period. This family owned business is now run by the seventh generation. At Ogakiku, they have a secret heirloom sauce that has been passed on for generations since the opening of the restaurant. This sauce enhances the flavour of eels. Worth to try despite the Long Queue!
