Mu Ko Phetra National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Ko Phetra is a junk-shaped island
Mu Ko Phetra is a marine national park in the Strait of Malacca off Thailand, covering mostly intact coastal line, open water, and about 30 islands of the southern part of Trang Province and the northern part of Satun Province. Established on 31 December 1984, it is the 49th national park and 14th marine national park of Thailand.
The Thai name Phetra comes from Malay Pulau Petra (the island of Petra).
The continued existence of the park is threatened by the proposed Pak Bara deepwater seaport

The Time-Crossing Bridge
The "Time-Crossing Zone" is characterized by its prominent sea cliffs that are steep and high. A section of the cliff displays a variety of colors from the different layers of rock, which are the result of tectonic shifts from various eras.
The path is convenient, and throughout the walk, you can see many unique and beautiful spots. There are even rocks shaped like whales, and the bird towers are beautifully colored. The seaside atmosphere is cool and pleasant, making it a very impressive and unseen tourist spot.
Little hike at Mu Ko Phetra National Park.

Pak Bara Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Sunset at Pak Bara beach in Satun Province
After my trip to Koh Lipe I experienced a very beautiful sunset. When I arrived at the beach, the boats were still floating and some still operating.
But Low tide developed until the water was gone in late afternoon... That was a very beautiful event I witnessed😍
Muslim Breakfast at Pak bara
We tried breakfast at Pak bara beach. The stall is just near to 7-Eleven Pak bara. There are variety of foods like Plain Roti, Banana Roti, and Egg Roti. They Also have a lot of kuih/sweets. I tried most of it and its very delicious and cheap.
The only problems is communication because they don’t really understand english but we managed to got all the orders😂.

The beach is far from being suitable for swimming; more warships are in the port. You can just come to see AND breathe in the fresh sea air, but for relaxation and B for a beach holiday, this beach is not suitable at all.#gooutside

Modern & luxury hotel @ Pakbara
Innblog hotel is nice and very relaxing. Not too noisy even near the side of the road. We have joined the tour for island hopping and snorkelling. The breakfast is good & delicious. Have swimming pool for kids at our room, safety for kids. Im really recommend here, nice view, near shops over there just walking out.
Papaya Mom 2 Pakbara Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Recommended as the food was really Thai style
Papaya Mom Restaurant in Pak Bara Beach
Best food by far! I don’t understand why the rating is only at 4,1 (at the time of writing). I went there yesterday and then today again. I had the stir fried cashew chicken, the red thai curry seabass and the chicken larb salad! Every dish was just so tasty! The prices are great. The service is good. Not everyone speaks English but they do have staff that speak perfectly fine and they will come and help you out if their colleague doesn’t understand what you want. Also don’t get irritated if you’re waiting for someone to come around. The place is busy, so just raise your hand and ask for service. The food doesn’t take too long to be served! I highly recommend this place. I will go there tomorrow again

The food was nice & staff was friendly 💕
Papaya Mom Restaurant, Pak Bara Beach, Satun.
Been here 3 times. Food is good and reasonably priced. We always ordered fried sea bass with tamarind sauce. Tom Yum soup. Papaya salad. Coconut shoot salad. And of course, coconut juice And ice cream. All good. May need to go back for the 4th time. Dinner is busier with more grilled food. Recommended!
