Across from the ancient city of Langzhong, there are Nanjinguan and Jinping Mountain

Langzhong, in addition to the ancient city of Langzhong, there are many other attractions worth visiting. The ancient town of Nanjinguan and Jinping Mountain, which are across the river from the ancient city, are not as bustling as the ancient city of Langzhong, but they are quiet and pleasant. The ancient city of Langzhong is located north of the Jialing River, Jinping Mountain is south of the Jialing River, and the ancient town of Nanjinguan is at the foot of Jinping Mountain, which is the ferry of the ancient city of Langzhong. It is said that Nanjinguan has a history of more than two thousand years and has been a bustling fortress of water and land since ancient times. The ancient town is not big, there is only one narrow and long ancient street, and going down along the street from the entrance is the riverside pier. During the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, a pontoon bridge was set up here to connect the two banks of the Jialing River and integrate with the ancient city. During the Red Army period, the Ninth Army of the Red Fourth Army began the Long March through this pontoon bridge. This kind of pontoon bridge has been used until the early days of liberation. It is reported that the ancient buildings of Nanjinguan Ancient Town, which has been listed as a national key cultural relic protection, including Lianfeng Building, were unfortunately demolished in 2010. Reconstruction began in 2011 and officially opened in 2012. The current Nanjinguan Ancient Town is all reconstructed and restored buildings. The entrance of Jinping Mountain is only more than 200 meters away from Nanjinguan Ancient Town. There is nothing special about the mountain. The Star Viewing Tower on the mountain is closed. It's still good for leisurely sightseeing, because the mountain is not high, you can exercise, climb high and see far, and you won't be too tired.
