Hunan's Hidden Gem | An Ancient Miao Village in the Deep Mountains

Last summer vacation, I accidentally discovered this hidden gem on my way to visit a friend. The architecture here is unique, which is very intriguing for someone studying architectural design, and I was instantly attracted to this place✌🏻 I discussed with my friend and decided to go in and explore The village is surrounded by clear mountains and waters, with smoke curling up from the kitchens, making it a perfect summer retreat. The village is nestled against the mountains and near the water, and there are waterfalls on the mountain👀. Here you can see rhododendrons all over the mountains🌸, rich primitive forests, majestic waterfalls, and beautiful Hua Yao women full of ethnic characteristics. Before coming here, I thought it was just an ordinary small village. After communicating with the local residents, I found out that all the residents here are local indigenous people. It is the filming location of 'Where Are We Going, Dad', a paradise. Dayuan Ancient Miao Village is a Miao village with the surname Yang. The village retains more than 100 traditional houses, the traditional two-entry three-story courtyard is the traditional Tong ethnic residence with high and deep exterior walls, the interior is mostly wooden stilted buildings, two or three stories high. The village retains the land temple and swallow house from the Song and Yuan dynasties, and the whole village exudes a deep and profound historical and cultural heritage. Many film and television variety shows have come to shoot scenes here, such as 'That Man, That Mountain, That Dog', 'Autumn Harvest Uprising', and the variety show 'Where Are We Going, Dad'. The houses where the stars and actors have lived have also become attractions in the village. Entering Dayuan Ancient Miao Village, the houses are simple and full of the charm of traditional stilted buildings in the Xianggan region. When you come to the village, you naturally slow down and slow down your pace. The traditional western Hunan village is simple and quiet, a pure land away from the hustle and bustle.
