Yosemite National Park

Beautiful scenery! Hiking levels for all ages and skills, with short and long trails, from easy to difficult. Accommodations of all kinds, from great camping to lovely cabins! I love all the gift shops, but I wonder why most of the gift shop items are made in China or somewhere similar? Use local resources! One of the best national parks I've visited so far... This national park looks great in most seasons, but winter is the best time to visit..... If you're planning to visit in winter, carry tire chains and call park services to find out more about the weather conditions..... Places like Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, and the Wedding Chapel look wonderful during the winter. The views were truly beautiful, and I suggest spending a few days to fully explore this park. Our day trip was not enough to appreciate all the beauty. If you are limited to one day, plan for 7-8 hours. Check reservations during peak season. Many places like waterfalls and scenic lookouts are easily accessible by driving or hiking.
