๐Ÿ™ƒโœจ The Strange Phenomenon of Burnout: Reflecting on the Journey and Rediscovering Purpose. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’ช

Burnout is a strange thing. Until recently, I didnโ€™t have a lot of personal experience with it. To be fair, Iโ€˜ve never stuck with anything for very long. In fact, I realized the other day that Iโ€™ve been doing this (whatever you want to call โ€œthisโ€), longer than I was a lawyer, longer than real estate, and much much longer than the many summer jobs that proceeded those. In the past, I couldnโ€™t really relate when I would hear other creators talk about burnout. Of course there were times when I was exhausted, stressed, or even homesick. But I just figured those were the natural consequences of giving something my all. In a strange way I thrived off it. And then a couple months ago it hit me. A giant wave that I could see coming for miles. But I didnโ€™t move. I just stood there in the break zone watching until the inevitable happened - and I was pulled under. The thing is, Iโ€™m not sure burnout happens because youโ€™re working too much or too hard. I think maybe it happens when you work too much on the wrong things. On projects that stray too far from your WHY. That ever illusive purpose that set you on your path in the first place. The good news is, no matter how far along that path you are, or how far youโ€™ve wandered, itโ€™s never too late to course correct. To reconnect with your why, and refocus your energy. And thatโ€™s where Iโ€™m at. Thanks for always being here. I couldnโ€™t navigate these turbulent waters without you. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Photos: everchanginghorizon cr๏ผšjess.wandering & Contact us for removal
