The National Museum of Cambodia
Visiting the National Museum of Cambodia was a wonderful and interesting cultural experience. The museum is one of the most important cultural attractions in the country and houses a large and valuable collection of historical monuments and works of art.
When I arrived at the museum, I was amazed by the beauty of the building with its unique architecture. It reflects Cambodia's rich heritage and ancient civilization by blending traditional and modern elements. I was given a tourist guide that helped me explore the collections on display as I entered the museum.
I enjoyed roaming through the various sections of the museum. I started by visiting the historical monument hall, which houses various statues, jewelry, and pottery from ancient times. These pieces are intricately displayed and offer a deep look into Cambodia's ancient history.
Then, I visited the art gallery, which featured paintings, drawings, and beautiful statues for contemporary Cambodian artists. These works reflected a unique and intellectual culture and artistic expression.
I cannot forget visiting the religious and archaeological statue exhibition hall. These statues were amazing and intricate, reflecting traditional Buddhist art. I was astonished by the delicate details and beautiful expressions represented in these works.
During my visit, there was also a temporary exhibition showcasing contemporary Cambodian art and culture. This exhibition was interesting because it presented modern artworks and innovative ideas from local artists.
In short, visiting the National Museum of Cambodia was an excellent cultural experience and a richness of knowledge. I enjoyed exploring the various collections and appreciating the beauty of Cambodian art and culture. This visit will remain an interesting and educational adventure in my memory forever.
Is a 12-dollar ticket worth it?
To be honest, I was a bit hesitant before going. Museums in China are basically free, but in Siem Reap, everything requires a ticket, and they are all quite expensive. But we did have plenty of time, so we took a tuk-tuk and went there~
As soon as we entered, I was pleasantly surprised. I had imagined the environment would be average, but it turned out to be great, with a courtyard pool and white spiral staircase~
You can rent an interpreter at the entrance, but if you have a photo translation app, you can save this 5 dollars😊
There are a total of four exhibition halls, ABCD. The first one is to watch the museum introduction, in the form of a documentary, with a Chinese version, and then start the tour in order. There are also several documentaries to watch during the process, which are very helpful for you to understand Khmer mythology. The next day when you go to Angkor Wat, you will be glad that you have been here to learn
Angkor Wat or Khmer mythology is deeply influenced by Buddhism and Hinduism, especially Hinduism. Hinduism itself is a polytheistic religion, but there are three main gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Therefore, many buildings in Angkor Wat are related to these three. This is my own summary, you should go and see for yourself
Buddhist artistry over the centuries.

This was definitely worth visiting! I normally would’ve overlooked this, but I had been out all day in the heat and someone in our tour group had mentioned it. I am so glad I went and did the audio tour. It was extremely informative and they had wonderful exhibitions. #wintergetaway

In the Angkor National Museum, there are stone statues, stone inscriptions and other artifacts unearthed from the Angkor site. The exhibits of different concepts are divided into the Angkor monuments in the sense of historical investigation, the Angkor monuments seen from the religious perspective, and the different themes such as the Angkor monuments seen by several major kings. The contents are detailed and informative. understand. The stone statues are only available in English and Khmer, but the tour guides can be rented at the service front desk of the museum. There are Chinese explanations. The videos played in the exhibition hall can also be selected in Chinese. The visual effects of the lighting and audiovisual materials in the exhibition hall can be compared with the museum. Those precious and magnificent stone statues make people fascinated. How many times I want to reach out and touch the mysterious Angkor ruins, but the exhibits in the museum are not touchable. I still hold back, but I can't take pictures in the museum, but Some places ask if the administrator at the side can take a photo and get permission to take only one or two. Therefore, we still use our eyes to appreciate the exhibits in the museum and put them in our minds. There are shops in the museum, special T-shirts, handbags, silk products and other goods, but the price is expensive, but the hand is really exquisite, it is the old market and the goods on the stalls next to the scenic spot can not be compared.
Museum tickets We purchased online in advance, the tour guide is also rented in advance, so the price will be cheaper, the fare: 64 yuan / person, tour guide: 32 / person.
