A Chinese Vibe in Cebu
Taoist Temple is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Cebu City. It was built in 1972 by the Chinese community of Cebu. It is the center of the Taoism religion in the city but open for general public from 8am to 5pm.
The temple exhibits Chinese style architecture. It is situated around three hundred meters high above sea level, that first-time travellers find it hard to reach. The best time to visit the temple is on Wednesdays as one can catch the rituals of the followers.
I honestly felt I was in China when I visited this temple.

A Serene Place to Visit in Cebu🇵🇭
#timetotravel
This temple was built by Filipino- Chinese community in Cebu City in 1972. It gives this peaceful and relaxing vibe as soon as you enter the place. It is one of the popular tourist attractions while being in Cebu so we went and checked it out as well. While this temple is open to the public I hope everyone can observe proper etiquette while being inside. The landscapes and the intricate architecture of the structures are really beautiful. Since this is on top of a hill, be prepared to climb up and long flight of stairs. Enjoy your visit!
Address: Beverly Hills, Cebu City.

Cebu’s Taoist Temple
Located in Beverly Hills Subdivision in Lahug, Cebu City, the Taoist Temple is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city. This was built some forty years ago by the city’s Chinese community. You can reach the place by either taking the cab or a private vehicle. If you wish to take the motorcycle for hire called the habal-habal, they are only allowed outside the gates of the subdivision so you still have to walk for around 15 minutes to reach the temple. The temple is surrounded by huge trees so the air is not as hot as it is. You get enough shade. You’ll be able to appreciate its beauty when you’re on top.

Taoist Temple, Cebu
Taoist temple is located in Beverly Hills Subdivision of Cebu City, Philippines. The temple is built by Cebu's substantial Filipino-Chinese community in 1972. With an elevation of 110 metres above sea level, the temple is a towering, multi-tiered, multi-hued attraction accessible by three separate winding routes.Unlike the neighboring Phu Sian Temple, the Taoist temple is open to the worshipers and non-worshipers alike. A ritual among devotees is where one prays to the gods to grant one's wish. The ritual includes washing of hands, going inside the chapel barefoot and dropping two blocks of wood. If the blocks of wood are both face up then one could make a wish. If not then it is not yet the time for one's wish to be granted and one has to come to the temple some other time. The temple is the center of worship for Taoism, the religion which follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Zi. Another ritual among Taoist devotees, which is done during Wednesdays and Sundays, is the climbing of its 81 steps (representing the 81 chapters of Taoism scriptures) to light joss sticks and have their fortune read by the monks.

The temple is set in beautiful surroundings easily reached by taxi from the city centre.
Quite a lot of steps need to be climbed so be advised to wear suitable footware.
The temple is a popular site so do not expect to be alone there. We went early morning so it was less crowded.

Cebu Taoist Temple
#cebutrip Nice temple. You need a taxi to arrive here, but I felt it was worth visiting it . Very different experience. You need a mask to get in the complex. It is not allowed to take pictures inside. The views are amazing and the entire place feels very peacefully. There is also a souvenir place from where you can buy at a reasonable price different things.Recommended if you are in Cebu
