Gucun Park in Shanghai is a hidden gem that every traveler should explore. I was captivated by the park's natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere when i visited.
The lush greenery, blooming flowers, and serene lake create a picturesque setting that is perfect for a peaceful stroll or a picnic. Also if you want to do a barbecue you can, you can rent the cabin on the grill area, shop raw meat, veggies, utensils and much more right a the mini-market at the entrance of the barbecue area.
The park also offers various activities, such as boating and cycling, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the surrounding nature. Comic-like Cherry Blossoms
Now the Cherry Blossoms in GuCun Park are as Beautiful as a Comic Book!
Freshly Released Photos Today! The flowers are in full blossoms right now! Do not miss it!
The weather was great, and the flowers looked like they were from a comic book against the blue sky. I was too lazy to bring a tripod, so I had to look for places to put my camera while taking selfies.
There are many people coming to the park during cherry season so it is recommended to go earlier in the morning.
Address: Gate 3, GuCun Park
Transportation: Line 7, GuCun Park Station
Outfit recommendation: White dress and straw hat
Admission: 20 rmb
Early sakura in Gucun Park 🌸
The number of early sakura in Gucun Park is only about 20% of the total planting amount. Even if it is in full bloom, the area is not large, and the location is scattered, which requires a heart to explore and search😆
The cherry blossoms at the entrance of Gate No.3 are in full bloom, with their branches hanging low. You can take pictures in the flowers without a small bench, and feel that the two trees under the Ferris wheel of Gate No. 2 are really sweet❤️❤️
🥰Sakura Forest Station
📍Gate No. 2 Beauty Road, less crowded, perfect for picnics and cherry blossoms
⏰Opening hours: 8: 00-17: 00
💰Ticket price: 20 yuan for seniors over 65 with ID card free (online reservation or on-site purchase)
📌Points for attention:
There are fewer people around 4pm when the light is the best and the park is larger.
Btw it's important to wear comfortable shoes!

Incredible sakura blossoms in Spring
Address: China, Shanghai, Baoshan, 沪太路4788号 邮政编码: 201906
If you happen to visit Shanghai around March, you must visit this park. This park is extremely huge and during Spring, there will be a lot of 🌸 sakura blossoms for you to view.
If you have kids, you'll need to have a full day or even more if your kids love dinosaurs (because there's a dino park within Gucun Park) to see the whole place because its huge. If you're into photography, then I'd suggest to choose weekday and go early. You can take food and camping stuff inside and there are many food options within the park.
Boat renting is also available should you want to enjoy the flower away from the crowd

Paintball 🇨🇳 Shanghai
To find the venue on Dianping or your map app, here is the Chinese to search.
顾村公园彩弹中心
Gucun park paintball center
Gucun Park paintball in the North of Shanghai is perfect for a birthday, work event or team building.
Alex who organises the events creates clear games and objectives for the teams to complete. The teams wear different colour suits to make it easy to differentiate who is on which side. Alex can speak English too, which was really useful and he was very direct and helpful during the games.
The space in which you compete isn't the biggest and the guns air pressure reflects this, so even your overly eager mate who's going to shoot you too close isn't going to ruin your day.
The winning is all that counts, but fair competition makes it even sweeter. Therefore Alex has set up rounds of three games for refills of paint and everyone gets the same. He has a team ready to clean, reload and prepare the guns in-between games while you grab a drink or snack.
Alex was quick to repair, help and replace any faulty guns during the games and he would advise on paint use for each round (if you wanted his tips).
The price is set on how much paint you choose to buy as a group, but he prefers you all to have the same amount.
I'd recommend 顾村公园彩弹中心 and I'm sure we will be going back.

A new and well developed park in Shanghai
Gucun park is a beautiful place to visit in Autumn. It is easy to get to on Metro line 7 and the tickets are cheap and easy to get.
The park itself is not the most beautiful in Shanghai but this is mostly because it is not an old park and has not yet matured with bigger and older trees. However, there is lots of interesting rides to enjoy. The wheel was a great way to see the park and the surrounding area but the personal highlight was the mini-train which circled some of the park.
Even in Autumn there were some beautiful cherry blossom trees to see and it wasn’t busy.
I would recommend a half day visit to this park.
It's time to enjoy the cherry blossoms that Gucun Park has to offer! On a trip to Gucun Park one sunny weekend, I was greeted with pink cherry blossoms, magnolias, yellow rapeseed, and green grasslands. This is a great place to appreciate nature in spring!
🌸 Where to see cherry blossoms this spring?
Of course at Gucun park!
🌸 Every year this park is running a Cherry Blossom Festival where you can not only enjoy the amazing cherry blossoming trees and nice weather, but also make some #coolpics 📸 Prepare to walk a lot, because this park is just huge. It has a certain area known as Cherry blossom Alley, where the majority of the trees are. Also there is a Farris wheel, if you take that one, be prerared to be blown away by the amazing view (hence the ticket is a bit expensive, 40 yuan).
🌸 Actually to see those trees you don't need to rush to the Alley, cause trees can be found all over the park, but there will be less ppl with cameras so you can get all the view for yourself only. Not far from exit 3 there is a nice rosarium with the roses🌹 that are the size of my heard, a lake (you can rent a boat), and many Chery blossom trees!
🌸 My favourite part about those park is that picnics allowed, so you not only can step on the grass, but very welcomed to. This could be a nice getaway from the city for the weekend.
🌸 Also there is a BBQ zone, so if you feel like BBQ, go for it 🙌

Best Places to See Spring Blossoms in SH
The weather is getting warmer, and the flowers in Shanghai are blooming earlier than in previous years. In the community, beside the street, at the exit of the subway station, you can already see magnolia and cherry blossoms in full bloom. The annual flowering period is very short. I would like to recommend some of the best flower viewing spots in Shanghai. Let's go to see the flowers this weekend!

Gucun Park in #shanghai is a little out of the way. It’s located in Baoshan somewhat north of the city. There are far fewer tourists and foreigners here than in many other city parks so it’s a nice place to come and enjoy a stroll.

Visiting the dream garden in Shanghai
My family and I visited Gucun park in Shanghai in mid-April 2024 to coincide with the Eid al-Fitr holiday. I have long dreamed of visiting China and the city I went to was Shanghai. I brought my wife, father and mother-in-law. When we arrived in Shanghai, the weather was very cold and at that time the cherry blossoms were blooming and the aroma spread almost throughout the park. My mother-in-law said that Gucun garden almost resembles the garden of Heaven and I think it is. To enter the park, both my father and mother-in-law did not need to pay a ticket because of their age. I really respect those who manage the park, because they really respect the elderly.

Discovering Dreams: Gucun Park's Cherry Blossom Wonderland! 🌸
#cherryblossom2024
Last week, I embarked on a journey to Gucun Park in Baoshan, China, and what I discovered left me speechless! 🌸 As I strolled through the park's pathways, I was enveloped in a sea of delicate cherry blossoms, each petal whispering secrets of spring. The air was alive with the sweet fragrance of flowers, and the vibrant hues painted a picture-perfect scene against the blue sky. ✨✨
Capturing the beauty of Gucun Park was an experience like no other. With every click of my camera, I immortalized moments of pure magic, each frame telling a story of nature's unparalleled beauty. 💖💫
As I reflect on my time in Gucun Park, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to witness such breathtaking beauty. It's moments like these that remind us of the wonder and awe that our world holds, just waiting to be discovered. 🌸💕

Cherry blossoms at Gucun park
This is a flower garden that resembles heaven that I have ever visited. This park is filled with cherry blossoms scattered in all corners. The unique fragrance of cherry blossoms surrounds the entire garden. You can find various colors of Sakura, for example white, yellow and pink. It seemed like the birds flying in the garden knew that at that time the Sakura was blooming. The weather at that time was quite cold so it made me feel at home and wanted to stay in the park forever. If I have a long holiday, I will definitely visit Gucun park again, it's so romantic!

A Paradise Garden in Beijing
In my personal opinion, this is a paradise garden because of the various flowers here. Birds are also free to fly in this park, very beautiful. I can also find various foods here such as strawberries wrapped in sugar, various grilled squid and much more. The fragrant fragrance of cherry blossoms can also be smelled in this park. It feels like I don't want to leave this place. What makes me very touched is that my parents do not need to buy an entrance ticket to enjoy the beauty of this park. I salute you because people here have great respect for old men.
It took less than three hours to finish touring Gucun Park
I took advantage of the working day off the day before yesterday to visit Gucun Park. During the cherry blossom season every year, Gucun Park is always overcrowded, especially on holidays and weekend breaks, so I never had the chance to go. This time, it took less than three hours to finish the tour, also because it has now entered the late cherry blossom season, and most of the cherry blossoms have withered.
🕙Opening hours: 6:00——18:00
📍Detailed address: No. 4788 Hutai Road, Gucun Town, Baoshan District, Shanghai
🚉Transportation strategy: Subway lines 7 and 15 are near the park, and you can also drive there.
🗓 Background: Gucun Park (Gucun Park), located at No. 4788 Hutai Road, Gucun Town, Baoshan District, Shanghai, starts from Hutai Road in the east, reaches Chengguang Road in the west, borders Jingbo Lake Road in the north, and is close to the outer ring expressway in the south; it covers a total area of 430 hectares, of which phase one occupies 180 hectares, and phase two occupies 244.7 hectares.
Gucun Park phase one started construction in August 2007, and phase two started construction on October 22, 2012. The park's construction concept is 'people-friendly and cultural', with ecological leisure and entertainment as the theme, integrating ecological protection, landscape viewing, leisure fitness, cultural entertainment, and tourism and vacation functions, complementing the functions of traditional urban parks, and is divided into two phases along the central river.
⏳Recommended visiting time: 3——5 hours
🌟Highlights: Cherry blossoms, rapeseed flowers, Dinosaur Park, boat rides, Bird World, paintball shooting.
📝Tips: Try to avoid weekends and holidays for a better experience. We entered from gate 2, which is also the largest gate, and then followed the route from left to right, passing gates 1 and 3. It is not recommended to rent the electric cars in the park, as they are very slow.

A Tranquil Escape: Gucun Park🌿🐦
#cherryblossom2024
Nestled in the heart of bustling Shanghai, Gucun Park offers a serene retreat for nature lovers and city dwellers alike. 🌳 As you enter the park, you are greeted by a chorus of bird songs, a testament to the park's rich biodiversity. 🕊️🎶
The highlight of my visit was the stunning bird's nest 🦅 🦢 🪹 observation deck, where I was able to witness a mesmerizing display of diasporas birds in their natural habitat. 🐦🌸 The sight of these graceful creatures soaring through the air and tending to their nests was truly captivating. 🏞️
Walking along the winding paths, I explored the park's lush gardens, each more beautiful than the last. 🌺 The rose garden, in particular, was a riot of colors and scents, with over 200 varieties of roses in full bloom. 🌹🌼
I also had the chance to visit the picturesque lake, where I rented a boat and leisurely paddled around, taking in the tranquil surroundings. 🚣♀️ The pagodas dotted around the park provided the perfect spot to sit and admire the scenery, while the bonsai garden was a masterclass in the art of miniature trees. 🌳🌸
Overall, my experience at Gucun Park was nothing short of magical. 🌟 It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. 🌿 Whether you're a bird enthusiast, a flower lover, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Gucun Park has something for everyone. 🌺🐦
