I am most fond of a certain elegance, the figures of the Six Dynasties and the poetry of the late Tang
——Six Dynasties Museum
🏯 Historically, the dynasties of Eastern Wu, Eastern Jin, Song, Qi, Liang, and Chen successively established their capitals in Nanjing. During this period, China was in a state of great turmoil, with the north and south divided. Nanjing leapt to prominence as the political, economic, and cultural center of southern China, turning a new page in Chinese history.
🧩 The Six Dynasties were at a critical stage of inheriting the past and ushering in the future. They carried on the traditional essence of the unified Han dynasties, allowing the cultural heritage of the Central Plains to be fully extended and developed under new geographical and historical conditions, laying the foundation for the high prosperity of the Tang dynasty's golden age. The art of the Six Dynasties, which emerged under this specific time and space, aimed to confront life and flaunt individuality, breaking free from the ideological constraints of the Han dynasty's exclusive reverence for Confucianism, and exhibited a free, unrestrained, and vivid style.

Nanjing Six Dynasties Museum
🌟Highlights:
The Six Dynasties Museum is the most comprehensive site museum in China displaying Six Dynasties artifacts, and it is also the most systematic local thematic museum reflecting Six Dynasties culture.
❤Reasons for recommendation:
——The designer of the Six Dynasties Museum is the son of the famous designer I. M. Pei. The exhibition hall design highlights the garden style and changes the scenery with every step. There are almost no solid walls in the exhibition hall, but bamboo, lotus leaves and other plants are used for partitioning, and then the light and shadow effects are used to make the museum visually transparent, changing the scenery with every step, and the visual effects and photo effects are particularly good.
——On the negative first floor of the museum, there is a Six Dynasties rammed earth wall site that is 25 meters long and 10 meters wide. This is the root of the entire museum. In 2008, archaeologists excavated the plot where the museum is located and found this rammed earth wall 2 meters underground. After verification, it was the architectural site of the Jiankang Palace of the Six Dynasties 1700 years ago, and the Six Dynasties Museum was built on the site.
——The treasure of the Six Dynasties Museum is the "Underglaze Color Feather Man Pattern Flat-mouthed Pot" from the Eastern Wu period, which depicts various artistic images of feather men, fairy grass, lovebirds, Buddha statues, etc. The underglaze color painting and appliqué are integrated. The underglaze color painting technique of this cultural relic has changed people's understanding that the underglaze color technique began in the Tang Dynasty, and it has advanced the appearance time of China's underglaze color painting technique by nearly five hundred years.

The museum in Nanjing is very special. It was opened to the public in 2014, with an investment of 250 million yuan. The designer is more famous. It was designed by the senior design team led by Mr. Bei Jianzhong, the son of world famous architect Pei Ming. The
Six Dynasty Museum is not far from the famous presidential palace of Nanjing. It can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. It is different from other museums. It is quiet and elegant, like an art gallery. The
six dynasty was the most glorious period in Nanjing's history. The six dynasties continued to build capital here, and Nanjing was also known as the "six ancient capitals." The Six Dynasties refers to the six dynasties of Dongwu, Dongjin, Song, Qi, Liang and Chen. During the period of the
six dynasty, Nanjing became the first big city in the world with a population of over one million. The economy is prosperous and the culture is prosperous.
The leisurely Wei Jin style can only be imagined from these retained cultural relics. The location of the
Six Dynasty Museum is part of Jiankang City during the Six Dynasties. It can see the palaces, city roads and drainage systems at that time.
Since Sun Quanding was in Nanjing, this ancient city has entered the fast lane of development. This is the most comprehensive museum of museums in China showing the six dynasties.
Show a large number of artifacts and introduce the celebrity stories of the Six Dynasties.
On the first floor of the museum, there is a ruins of six dynasties that are 25 meters long and 10 meters wide. This is the root of the entire museum.
