The Magical Petra by Night Experience
Petra by Night is a magical event that takes place in the ancient city of Petra, Jordan. The event is a candlelit tour of the area that allows visitors to experience Petra in a unique and enchanting way. The tour begins at the Petra Visitor Centre and takes visitors through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads to the Treasury. The Siq is lit with over 1500 candles, creating a magical atmosphere that transports visitors back in time. The Treasury is the highlight of the tour and is illuminated by hundreds of candles. There are projections and a live show including Bedouin music.
Petra by Night is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week and runs from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Centre shops, local tour agencies in Petra, or at some hotel receptions.

Petra, A True World Wonder
Petra is located in Wadi Musa, Jordan and you’re able to access the archeological site of Petra from Wadi Musa, access to Wadi Musa is via Coach, Driving or Taxi from what I am aware. Entrances fees into Petra can vary depending on how many days you’re planning to visit however I recommend getting ‘The Jordan Pass’ which allows you access into Petra and in my case being from the UK covered Visa costs as well as access to other sites across the country of Jordan for example in Amman.
The entrance to Petra begins with the huge crevasse that is most known in Western Culture from the Indiana Jones movie, this portion of Petra lasts for 20 to 30 minutes and is magically with every bend being as unique as the previous alongside this the pure size of crevasse really has you in awe. Once you reach the end of the crevasse you’re met with The Treasury, Petra’s most famous landmark and most photographed, the huge building carved into the hillside is truly spectacular and makes you consider what is possible and achievable.
Whilst visiting Petra you’re able to travel via Golf Cart, Horse, Donkey or Camel for various prices however in my instance I opted to just walk. You’re able to travel Petra at your own pace and along the way you have plenty of locations offering affordable food, drinks and souvenirs.

Visit the AMAZING 🤩 Treasury 💎 in Jordan this SUMMER BREAK!
Seeing the Treasury in Petra is mind-blowing as it is one of the architectural wonders in ALL of MIDDLE EAST! It's like stepping into an Indiana Jones movie. As you walk through the narrow Siq, the anticipation builds, and then, bam! There it is, in all its grandeur, carved into the rock face. The intricate details and the sheer size of the Treasury are awe-inspiring. The rose-colored façade glows in the sunlight, creating a mesmerizing sight. You can't help but wonder about the stories and secrets this ancient structure holds. It's a moment that takes your breath away and makes you appreciate the incredible craftsmanship and history of the Treasury.
Out of all the places I have been to in my life, Petra in Jordan was one of the most breathtaking locations I have had the chance to witness. From the breathtaking mood at night to the sheer scale of the rock carvings, everything was a pure breath of fresh air, and a time travel to the past. As we followed the Al-Khubtha trail to the top, we came to a little tent set up by some locals, who served us tea to enjoy the views with. Certainly a place I am dying to go back to, as this experience profoundly marked my heart with emotions and feelings 🇯🇴🐪 Pro tip, for the views from above, there are several locations, but I would recommend following the Al-Khubtha trail. it is a bit of a walk and hike, but you will definitely get to enjoy the views to yourself, away from the rest of the tourists. (Don’t listen to the local “fake” guides who would tell you that trail is closed so that they can bring you to another trail to earn commissions 😉)
Amazing views of Petra Treasure 🇯🇴
Petra treasure, also known as Al-Khazneh, is a stunning example of ancient architecture and art. It is a rock-cut facade that was built by the Nabataeans, a nomadic Arab people who ruled over the region in the 1st century AD.
Petra treasure was not actually a treasury, but a mausoleum for the Nabataean king Aretas IV. It was named so by the local Bedouins who believed that the urn on the top of the entrance contained hidden riches.
Petra treasure is decorated with elaborate sculptures and carvings that reflect the cultural and religious influences of the Nabataeans.
It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jordan and the Middle East, and has been featured in many movies and books.

The Treasury: Jordan’s Most Famous Facade
Nestled in the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, lies a marvel of ancient architecture known as Al-Khazneh, or "The Treasury". Carved directly from a sandstone rock face, this elaborate temple shows the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the Nabatean Kingdom.
The first glimpse of The Treasury upon exiting a narrow gorge leading into Petra, is breathtaking. Its intricate design, thought to depict various mythological figures associated with the afterlife, has withstood the test of time. Despite the erosion of some architectural details over the past two millennia, The Treasury remains undiminished.
Originally built as a mausoleum and crypt at the beginning of the 1st century AD during the reign of Aretas IV Philopatris, The Treasury is steeped in history. Local legends even suggest that it once housed pharaonic treasures, leading to its name.
Today, The Treasury stands as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jordan and its fame has been further bolstered by its appearance in numerous films and media.

The Kazini Temple is a temple in the ancient city of Petra and has a history of two thousand years. The local Bedouin legend has a treasure on its top, so the temple is commonly known as the treasure house. Here is the location of the movie "The Adventures of the Lost Ark 3 - The Last Expedition" and "The Revenge of the Transformers 2 - The Fallen".
The Kazini Palace during the day was so shocking that it was mysterious at night. Every Wednesday will be Petra's night. After 8:00, all the candles will be placed on the road from the entrance to the palace. People can go to the Palace Square through this candlelight and listen to the candlelight. With the ancient whistle of the Bedouin, quietly admire Petra in the night.
Petra's most famous temple of Kazni, overlooking it on the hilltop directly opposite the palace is also a very good perspective. When we arrived on the first day, we asked how to climb the mountain from the foot of the palace. We asked the locals to point to a road on the left to indicate that they could go up, but they must be guided. At first glance, this situation is simply a roadblock and can only be thought of another way. Asked the police to be told that there is a mountainous intersection from the place more than 500 meters away to reach the top of the mountain. Although the road was a little farther, we did not hesitate to choose to go up compared to the local guide.
The police said that it took 2 hours to arrive and we only spent more than an hour to reach the top of the mountain. The scenery on the mountain is exciting, and the scenery seen by each viewpoint is different. When you reach the platform of the mountainside, you can overlook the entire Petra hinterland, and walk on the mountain trail and be shocked by the surrounding mountains.
came to the top of the mountain, the best shooting point was transformed into a teahouse by the Bedouin occupation without any accident, no need to use tickets only to buy a cup of coffee or soda to take pictures. The disguised charging method can be understood.
The Jordanians called the Kazini Temple a treasure house. It is said that this place is the place where the kings of Petra collected wealth.
The top of the front of Petra is believed to have been used to store a pharaoh's treasure. It is said that the Egyptian Pharaoh was hiding the treasure on his way to catch up with the Israelites. It is said that there are organs and can shoot the insiders. You can get the treasure, so many countless treasure seekers try their hand, try to use the gun to hit the cockroach to get the treasure, you can see that the top of the cockroach has been bulleted, was shot a hundred holes and sores, but the treasure has never been exposed.
The third part of the Hollywood blockbuster "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was also shot here.
In fact, various sources have shown that the Kazini Temple is not a treasure house, but a mausoleum that many archaeologists consider to be the tomb of King Aretas IV.
Several camels in front of the Kazini Temple are especially suitable.
Walking along the narrow snake valley to the end, suddenly in front of the eyes, a sharp contrast with the dark canyon, seen many times of the classic picture appeared in front of us, no one of us four people talking, just silently The camera wants to leave this classic moment, maybe so much cost, so much hard work is for this time.
This is the Kazini Temple. It was first seen in the movie "The Raiders of the Lost Ark". It is the place where the Holy Grail of Jesus is treasured. It is said that drinking the water in the Holy Grail can live forever.
Its finally immersed today, but the Holy Grail is just a legend. Its just a burial of a tomb of the Napa King of Thailand. It was the golden age of the Roman rule. Petra is the most important business road. The rich and the rich, the king's money is too much to get dead, how to do it, simply pull it into the tomb and pick it up.
Things are picking up, but there are a lot of people who are remembering. In the rivers and lakes where the gold is smashing, the most famous here is the far-reaching. Therefore, there are not many people who have come to the door in the past.
Although there are many people visiting the Kazini Shrine, the overall preservation of the temple is perfect. Except for the head of the statue that was knocked out, the place has not been damaged too much. The beautifully carved colonnade And the vault is the Roman legacy I want to see most.
