The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance, and the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal are all just a minute's walk away. There's also a bakery in the hotel with a good reputation, though guests no longer get discounts. From the breakfast area on the first floor, you can see the queue at the ferry terminal. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced.
My friend and I stayed at Webase two single rooms during our trip for Setouchi Triennale 2025. Although it is a bit far from the station and Takamatsu Port (20 minutes on foot), it is very close to shopping area, and the food streets, Many restaurants and cafes nearby. Friendly English / Mandarins speaking staffs, easy self check-in/out. All was as expected and described.
I was surprised by how small the room was for a hot spring ryokan. With two suitcases, there was barely any room to walk. There was no Wi-Fi signal in the room, and the explanation given was that too many guests were using it simultaneously that night. Wi-Fi was only available in the hallway and lobby. Although the staff tried hard to resolve the issue, there was no solution, so we had to use our own mobile data (as an apology, they gave us a small souvenir when we checked out).
Additionally, the 'one night, two meals' package... At over ¥2200, it was ¥1200 more expensive than just the room, but both dinner and breakfast were very mediocre. Compared to a hot spring ryokan I stayed at previously on Shodoshima (which wasn't great either, but at least the food was refined), the meals here were far inferior. There were only three small slices of sashimi, and there were even fish scales on the fish. For ¥1200, two people could have had many better dining options outside.
The hot spring was decent, but nothing particularly impressive.
Located on a hill near Takamatsu Station, you can see the beautiful night view from a high vantage point. There is a large hot spring bath on the top floor, which is very clean. There is free coffee and tea in the lobby. Parking is also very convenient. Highly recommended
The hotel is very near JR. It is clean and modern. Anyway the breakfast is not good with very few foods for chosen and the place of the restaurant is not like in the hotel as it is not inside the hotel but just at the doorway of the hotel.
The hotel is located across from Marugame Station, visible from the exit. Check-in is very convenient, with self-service check-in. From 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, they offer free udon noodles on the first floor, limited to one bowl per person. The udon is delicious, though it's somen, which I find even better. It's also very close to the main restaurant of Ichiraku-kutsuke-dori, about a five-minute walk away. The restaurant is quite busy; we went there around 6:00 PM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. We finished around 7:00 PM, and by 8:00 PM, the line was already more than ten meters long. We stayed on the 8th floor, which has a small balcony overlooking the port. We checked in around 6:00 PM and were able to catch a glimpse of the sunset, with the Seto Inland Sea Bridge looming.
When I went there, I was about to arrive at the Seto Inner Art Season. The hotel was very expensive. I wanted to say that I would experience this kind of container hotel. The price should not be too bad.
The front desk does not speak English at all, the room is super invincible mini, but the overall clean and tidy Japanese hotels are OK.
The experience was good enough the hotel and the food wasn’t too bad. The hot spring on the top floor is an absolute delight and we didn’t stay in the room much we were almost out, so it was just a place for us to rest our feet and get a good night sleep and that just did the trick. Everything was fine hotel staff were good. Everything was great.
Let's start with the location: the hotel is right across from the airport shuttle stop, and there's a new, pretty affordable BBQ joint nearby that's worth checking out. As for the airport shuttle across the street, you can catch the bus after 10 AM in the morning. For the buses after 9:50 AM, the chances of getting a seat at this stop are very slim, and you'll likely have to sit in the very back. The buses after 10 AM are very empty, so you can sit wherever you like.
Now, about the hotel facilities: they initially gave us room 605, and the smell of urine in the bathroom was disgusting. After we spoke to the front desk, they immediately moved us to another room, which had no strange odors. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was spacious. The hotel's top floor has a hot spring bath, and the washing machine is also located there, though it seems rarely used.
Regarding hotel services: in the evening, they offer popsicles on the top floor, and in the morning, they provide lactic acid drinks similar to Yakult. After 9 PM, they even serve complimentary ramen.
Overall, Dormy Inn is definitely worth a stay.
This was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday.
**Environment:** The location is excellent. You can catch the airport shuttle right outside.
**Facilities:** The room was quite spacious. We had no problem at all opening up two large suitcases. I'm glad we stayed here on our last day.

Amazing
Decent size for a few nights' stay, with sufficient room to open up suitcase. A bit of sea view if on the high floor. Had two stretches of stay at this hotel and we could store our suitcase with them while we stayed two nights on the islands.
Toyoko Inn is my favorite chain to stay when in Japan! This particular one was clean, convenient and awesome! They had night time supper -Udon. The breakfast area can get a little bit busy. Thanks for a nice stay!
Nice hotel that’s just had been refreshed but still have the 90s vibe. Reception staff was a senior gentleman who looked like he can’t speak English but was able to converse in English. Like the appearance of the hotel, it’s a hidden gem. Located in between MacDonalds and 7-11 so it’s pretty convenient and good quality hotel. And free parking too! If lucky, can park right at the entrance to the lobby.
This 2 beds room is quite large for Japan's standard. The hotel is a bit dated to my preference but it has everything you need. It has an air-conditioning installed (not centralized one). So you can choose the temperature as you wish, not having to rely on the hotel's control. Of course, it depends on which time of year you are visiting as well. Limited breakfast selection but again, if you can eat anything, you'll be fine. I think they offer parking spaces, right across the hotel. Convenient stores are walkable distance.
Nice hotel ,friendly staff . But one thing , we are not suppose to wear room slippers to eat breakfast in the morning 😅. Overall was good experience though . Nice breakfast too ! Can try !
