Really nice resort. Clean, modern, several beautiful pools which were never very full and the staff is incredible. They help in any way they can, including arranging for a last minute boat tour for us well outside of their usual hours and seemed happy to make it work (add the guides they work with are fantastic too). It was a very peaceful and comfortable stay overall.  The one issue is the food, they put a lot of effort into it and have a very large breakfast buffet every day, but the food just isn’t that good. There's one restaurant in the resort and there aren’t many (any?) other food options in the area, so it’s pretty relevant. The food is a bit bland or with strange flavor combinations. And worse, it takes a comically long time to get served, even if just a sandwich, and it’s usually cold when it comes. This happened at all 4 of the meals we had there outside of breakfast.  But... It honestly didn't bother us that much. Partly bc we're not big foodies, but more importantly, bc the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone goes out if the way to make sure you get everything you want and then some. I hope they can fix the food issues and this place would be 5 star

I had the most amazing time during my stay at The Funny Lion. First and most important thing to mention is how amazing the staff were. From the coffee bar to the restaurant, every person treated me with such warmth and grace, and some of them even remembered my name. Secondly, the food was great. The morning breakfast had a great array of options with some Filipino elements which I looked forward to every morning. Enjoying some garlic rice and eggs next to the sunlit pool was a perfect start to the morning. Location was great too, close to the airport and a short ride away from nice cafes (nothing to too far in PP to be honest). You could also take a boat or kayak out to the sand bar which is such a nice touch to complete the full experience offered by the resort. Rooms were big, clean and amenities were amazing. All in all, I only have praises for TFL, I will definitely stay here again should I ever return to Palawan.

We stayed at this resort in February with our family, and we highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, with a stunning natural setting that remains quite wild, providing the perfect backdrop for a property that includes a hotel, villas, and glamping accommodations. We stayed in the hotel, but we also recommend the villas, which were occupied by our friends—they are nestled in lush greenery and are very well maintained. There is a small pool available for guests located in the glamping area. The resort also offers relaxing massages and the opportunity to book excursions. The restaurant offers a limited menu, but the dishes are well-prepared, and the pizza, in particular, meets high Italian standards. The only small suggestion we would make is to improve the breakfast selection slightly. The staff is incredibly kind, always helpful, and consistently welcoming with warm smiles. A special thanks to the General Manager, who was always present and attentive to guests’ needs.

One night at Astoria Palawan is simply not enough! I had an amazing time during my short stay and truly believe that at least 5 days are needed to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer—especially the Astoria Waterpark, which is fun, exciting, and well-maintained.The entire resort atmosphere is peaceful and beautifully kept, perfect for relaxing or adventure-filled days. The buffet dinner was very delicious—great variety and flavors! The fire dance performance—it was absolutely mesmerizing and added a magical touch to the evening. However, I noticed the breakfast buffet lacked halal-friendly options. I had only chicken adobo, egg, and fish only. Most of the main dishes, including the soup and hotdogs, contained pork, which may be a concern for Muslim or halal-conscious guests. I hope they consider offering more inclusive meal options in the future. Special thanks to Ms. Princess Gaflu at the front desk for her warm and professional service, and Alonso, the attendant at the waterpark, who went above and beyond to guide me, take photos and videos, and make me feel welcome. His friendly attitude made my experience even more memorable! If I didn’t have prior appointments in Manila, I would have stayed longer—and I definitely will next time! For me, Palawan means Astoria. Not El Nido. Just Astoria. It’s the best place to stay in the province—hands down! Can’t wait to come back.

The whole trip was a blast thanks to the hotel. Check-in was smooth, they even upgraded one of our rooms because they werent able to give us 2 adjacent rooms because the whole floor are fullybooked. Free breakfast are great, varying everyday. They also were attentive in giving all of our needs. Pool service also provided towels. And dont forget to book massage because it was great. They also have van transfers available, just message the hotel on their page. its 250php per way. You have to get it or else you will pay 700php for a tricycle ride. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a 10-minute tricycle ride to the town.

Overall I do like this hotel as the staffs are helpful and polite to make my stay memorable. Although the hotel is a little distant from Sabang town, they do have speedboat to ferry guests in and out. It has nice room with balcony and sea view for a relaxing stay.

Amazing Stay at Charlie’s El Nido Hotel! We recently spent three wonderful days at Charlie’s El Nido Hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The daily breakfast was a delightful highlight of our stay. The buffet offered a wide variety of choices, and the menu changed every day, keeping things fresh and exciting. Whether you’re craving local flavors or classic breakfast staples, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. What really made our stay special was the amazing staff. They were always polite, cheerful, and willing to help with anything we needed. Their genuine smiles and warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The free shuttle service to and from El Nido town and Lio Beach was such a convenient bonus. It made exploring the area stress-free and added to the overall ease of our vacation. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay in El Nido with top-notch service and excellent amenities, Charlie’s El Nido Hotel is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to come back!

I had such a great experience staying at Hue Hotels and Resorts El Nido. The location is super convenient, it’s close to everything! Restaurants, shops, and the starting points for island-hopping tours are all just a short walk or tricycle ride away, which made getting around really easy. The best part for me was the rooftop. The view from up there is stunning — you can see the dramatic limestone cliffs and surrounding greenery. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of island tours or to catch the sunset with a drink in hand. The hotel itself is modern and stylish, but still feels relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, which made the stay even better. If you’re looking for a comfortable, accessible place to stay in El Nido with amazing views and a great location, Hue is a solid choice. I’d definitely come back.

The Funny Lion is an absolute gem in Coron! From the warm hospitality to the beautifully designed rooms, everything about our stay was exceptional. The rooftop jacuzzi and pool offer breathtaking sunset views, and the serene ambiance makes it a perfect retreat. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, with a great mix of local and international options. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. Ideal location, fantastic service, and a peaceful atmosphere—highly recommend for anyone visiting Coron!

We are delighted with this hotel, for those who love glamping - this is a super place, there are air conditioners and they are very quiet. The only thing you need to take fly repellent on the beach, they bit.
