GGuest UserThe exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay.
GGuest UserThe location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here
GGuest UserThis hotel is expensive, but the service is disappointing. First, no one helped me carry my luggage to my room.
Second, during the buffet dinner, they kept running out of melons, and in the last ten minutes, they were completely out of melons. They told me to wait five more minutes, saying they would come back one last time. But there was nothing. I feel that for a buffet, to simply stop serving food in the last ten minutes is a very bad form of fraud. Since the hotel is unwilling to honor its promises to save a little money, I think I will probably not return to this hotel anymore.
GGuest UserThe facilities and hospitality of the hotel mentioned above are close to full marks.
On the other hand, unfortunately the cleaning of the hot spring bath is not so good, and there is nothing that can be done about the quality of the hot spring water.
And the quality of the dinner. The number of dishes is more than enough, but I would like them to take the taste more seriously.
I would like food that tastes good, not just the price.
GGuest UserThe service is attentive, the food in the restaurant is delicious, the room is clean, and the outdoor hot spring pool can only be described as 👍. However, the location is relatively remote and it is inconvenient to take a taxi. Fortunately, the counter staff was very enthusiastic to help call a taxi, and it was included in the pocket list.
KKongkongwukongkongAn old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!
TTsusiethank youso much🥰🥰so very nice place, the staff are so very supportive, very near in tobu world square & tobu world square station,The hotspring is so good especially the strong mist sauna & the overall complete amenities.esp.horse oil shampoo & conditioner,& so nice yokatta.I like also the space in veranda,co'z i can smoke anytime & the freshness invironment.the comfortable bed.The very good breakfast.Overall, supportive staff 100 percent.Thank you so much always trip.com
GGuest UserThe hotel is new and clean, with a variety of facilities suitable for families. It features large indoor and outdoor baths, a large free parking lot, and spacious, comfortable Japanese-style rooms. The price is reasonable and offers excellent value.
GGuest UserHonestly, given the low price that provides 2 meals and onsen experiences, I think it is quite good for value, but of course the building is very old and rather broken (although it is still usable). But then, it will take an hour to go to Nikko and the surrounding area isn't interesting to visit, just to stay in this hotel is not a very good option especially if you want to go hiking in Nikko.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious, sanitary, and the washing is very good. The cleanliness of Japan is beyond doubt. The hotel is a comprehensive hot spring hotel. The buffet breakfast and dinner are very rich. It is worth experiencing
