Dejima Review

The revetment of the island, the river took us back to the Edo era China Street because of the crowd, we did not visit for a long time to return to the original drop-off point, but found a beautiful place nearby - the revetment of the island, this is what I imagined Japan. The ancient buildings of the Edo era are arranged along the river in turn, which is unbelievable. The island mentioned in the above sign is the only window for Japan's foreign contact during the closure of Japan from the middle of the 17th century to the 19th century in Nagasaki Port. Walking on the street of the island, there is a feeling of time back. The sea around the island was filled out later because of the city transformation, leaving only a curved river, which became what we saw. There are many European-style buildings left by the Dutch at the time, rebuilt, houses on the former artificial island, reopened to tourists, giving a good historical overview of the lives of 15th-century Nagasaki people. A miniature model of the island, which was made from the island before the island was reclaimed in 1904, is also displayed in the remains of the island of the Netherlands. The river is long, and the white walls and black tiles unique to the Edo era are marked by the distinctive imprint of that era. Although this is a place that is easy to overlook, it does not prevent us from staying away from the crowds, stopping here and enjoying the rare quiet and slow pace of this trip.
