This was my first time staying in a guesthouse with an ancient folk house style, and it's located right within the scenic area. Although the room was small, it had all the necessary amenities, offering a completely unique and novel experience! 😍 You can enjoy tea 🫖 in the front hall, or play chess and practice calligraphy in the back. You can also dress up in traditional costumes for photoshoots and exploring, as the cultural atmosphere is really strong. It's also very convenient to find all sorts of delicious food nearby, and it's close to Yantai Mountain, with Sanfang Qixiang not far either. Breakfast 🥣 featured local specialty dishes 😋. The only downside is that the bed 🛏️ in this particular room is against the wall, only accessible from one side, making it more suitable for single occupancy.

The front desk service was great; check-in was fast, and they even upgraded me to a river view room, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with plenty of local specialties like taro paste, fish balls, seafood hotpot, peanut soup, vermicelli paste, and oyster cakes, all of which tasted delicious. It gets quite busy during breakfast, so if you go too late, you'll likely have to wait in line. The only minor inconvenience was that food deliveries can only be left at the hotel lobby on the first floor, while the front desk is on the 40th floor. Overall, it was a very good stay, and I would choose this hotel again if I'm back in the area.

Every year when I come to Xiamen, I stay at the Swiss Grand for a few days, and this is my fourth time. What attracts me most to the Swiss Grand is its excellent location and rooms directly facing Gulangyu Island. I have to say, the Swiss Grand meets all my needs for a trip to Xiamen. First, let's talk about the location. It's situated in the heart of Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road. You can walk to Bashi Market, the Botanical Garden, and Xiamen Ferry Terminal. Taking a taxi to Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei, the Twin Towers, and Xiamen University is always just the starting fare. The Exit to the hotel is also the starting station of Metro Line 1, which goes directly to Gaoqi Airport. Then there's the room facing Gulangyu Island – it's absolutely unbeatable! It completely matches my aesthetic. Whenever I sit by the floor-to-ceiling window in my room, enjoying the beautiful Gulangyu Island opposite, with a cup of black tea, I feel utterly content. What's even more impressive is that the room is very spacious, well-equipped, and the quality is consistently high. It offers excellent value for money! The breakfast is very rich, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options, plus local specialties – you name it, they have it, and it all tastes great. The service is excellent; the greeters at the entrance are very attentive. The front desk was a bit ordinary, but customer service responded promptly and was always helpful. The only slight drawback was the slow check-in process. This might be due to the hotel being fully booked during the Chinese New Year holiday, but it also reflects that the hotel doesn't have good solutions for handling such surges in guests. We waited over an hour to check in, and at that time, one guest had waited three hours and still hadn't gotten into their room, and ended up arguing with the front desk... This had a very negative impact on the hotel's image. I hope they can further improve their management during holidays!

My stay at Yidu Chaosu with friends for this Xiamen trip truly exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Road and Xingfu Road, making it super convenient to get to other attractions like Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, and the Eight Markets. Even though it's located in a residential area, it's less than a minute's walk in, so it's tucked away from the main road, offering a quiet escape. The overall soundproofing is pretty good, as long as people aren't being overly noisy. The room has a wet and dry separation, is clean and tidy, and is decorated with great style. The natural light is excellent; it's a shame Xiamen has been rainy lately, otherwise, the photos would have turned out amazing. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, not only sending check-in instructions in advance but also recommending many local favorite snacks and lesser-known spots, helping us avoid a lot of tourist traps. They were always responsive on WeChat, providing excellent service. The ladies were all very friendly and approachable. There's also a large terrace on the rooftop with a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. Overall, the value for money is superb. If you're visiting Xiamen, staying here is definitely the right choice. I highly recommend it to friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Traveling with a child, I opted for a newer hotel, and it was quite clean. I booked two rooms, and both were upgraded – getting an upgrade for an extended stay is a real plus, especially since the hotel proactively offered it. The rooms are spacious with a very practical design. There's a robot that delivers packages quickly, so no waiting around. Since I didn't book breakfast, I can't comment on the dining, but I might try it next time. All the staff were excellent. They spoke in a very calm and unhurried manner, which was nice, haha. There was a female staff member named Xiaomi, and a tall male staff member whose name I don't recall, who was usually at the front desk – both were very patient and good.

Impressed by Wuyi, the most beautiful椿泊. The hotel is nestled in a quiet spot yet close to the action, built right along the creek. It's a pleasant walk to Song Street and Sangu Food Street. The Song Dynasty aesthetic blends seamlessly with the Wuyi Mountain landscape, creating an infinitely enchanting view. What truly stands out are the hotel staff; every single one is genuinely warm and friendly, offering prompt and thoughtful service with a sweet smile. I'll definitely be back here again!

Overall a really good stay in an old historical building, a great experience you won't get anywhere else! A butler service is included when you check in and out, where they help you pull your luggages to and fro your taxi location. The place itself is clean and cozy, and very close by to multiple food and souvenir shops! Secondly, the breakfast is beautiful and splendid! The service is really good as well, as we have to check out early on the last day, the staff also packed breakfast for us to eat on the way to the airport. And also always accomodating to our requests (like getting more bottled water, etc haha). The hotel package also includes free tea tasting and dressing up in traditional wear (which my family did not do but I wish we did!) Lastly, there is laundry service (wash and dry), but it does take a bit of time (eg: clothes are mostly done only after 8pm even if we place the clothes out around 8-9am). Maybe one thing is to let us know the estimated time it will be done ^^. But overall, I love the stay, breakfast, the kind staff, the beautiful accommodation and the hotel cat, xiaoxi!!

The weather on the day I arrived was absolutely gorgeous, putting me in a fantastic mood. The blue skies and ocean were just perfect! I really loved the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves. As I was traveling solo and wanted a peaceful New Year, this trip was incredibly satisfying (^^). The room itself was also very spacious, bright, and clean. I asked them to clean the room first thing in the morning when I headed out, and they were very prompt and thorough. It was a great experience. The breakfast 🍳 selection was also very diverse. Enjoying breakfast 🥞 while looking out at the pool was a lovely way to spend my New Year's trip! The ocean views from this location are truly therapeutic 🌊. They offer scheduled shuttle bus service for airport transfers and a tourist bus from the hotel to Dongdu Cruise Terminal. On the morning I left, I needed to go to Nanputuo Temple, and the bus was conveniently going in that direction, so they dropped me off near Yanwu Bridge. The manager at the hotel lobby even reminded me about it! Very thoughtful service!

A very satisfying stay! The lobby is spacious and bright, and they even show cartoons for kids. The hotel's cheese service was very thoughtful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Parking is free, and they kindly offered a late check-out for my room. The facilities are comprehensive, and the bed is very comfortable. They also offer a free airport shuttle service, making it super convenient for travel. Highly recommend! They provided tools for digging in the sand at the beach, which the kids loved, and breakfast was excellent. Although I didn't use the swimming pool, the shallowest part is 0.9m, so it's suitable for children.
