Romantic Hotels in Fujian, China

This was my first time staying in a guesthouse with an ancient folk house style, and it's located right within the scenic area. Although the room was small, it had all the necessary amenities, offering a completely unique and novel experience! 😍 You can enjoy tea 🫖 in the front hall, or play chess and practice calligraphy in the back. You can also dress up in traditional costumes for photoshoots and exploring, as the cultural atmosphere is really strong. It's also very convenient to find all sorts of delicious food nearby, and it's close to Yantai Mountain, with Sanfang Qixiang not far either. Breakfast 🥣 featured local specialty dishes 😋. The only downside is that the bed 🛏️ in this particular room is against the wall, only accessible from one side, making it more suitable for single occupancy.

The front desk service was great; check-in was fast, and they even upgraded me to a river view room, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with plenty of local specialties like taro paste, fish balls, seafood hotpot, peanut soup, vermicelli paste, and oyster cakes, all of which tasted delicious. It gets quite busy during breakfast, so if you go too late, you'll likely have to wait in line. The only minor inconvenience was that food deliveries can only be left at the hotel lobby on the first floor, while the front desk is on the 40th floor. Overall, it was a very good stay, and I would choose this hotel again if I'm back in the area.

I specifically chose this hotel because of its location. Gulangyu Island is right across the street, so you can enjoy the view and watch the sunset from your room. It's also within walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and a short taxi ride to Nanputuo Temple and the Botanical Garden, which is very convenient. The hotel breakfast was decent. The Chinese restaurant on the third floor is quite good. The housekeeping staff made an effort to fold a small animal out of towels every day and place it in the room, which was a nice touch.

My stay at Yidu Chaosu with friends for this Xiamen trip truly exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Road and Xingfu Road, making it super convenient to get to other attractions like Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, and the Eight Markets. Even though it's located in a residential area, it's less than a minute's walk in, so it's tucked away from the main road, offering a quiet escape. The overall soundproofing is pretty good, as long as people aren't being overly noisy. The room has a wet and dry separation, is clean and tidy, and is decorated with great style. The natural light is excellent; it's a shame Xiamen has been rainy lately, otherwise, the photos would have turned out amazing. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, not only sending check-in instructions in advance but also recommending many local favorite snacks and lesser-known spots, helping us avoid a lot of tourist traps. They were always responsive on WeChat, providing excellent service. The ladies were all very friendly and approachable. There's also a large terrace on the rooftop with a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. Overall, the value for money is superb. If you're visiting Xiamen, staying here is definitely the right choice. I highly recommend it to friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Was back to the same hotel the 2nd time. Everything was good, Ms Jojo was attentive and friendly at all times, and even suggested places to go. She made sure the room was ready before my arrival and the check in was completed swiftly. Had an upgrade of the room. Staff are all courteous and greet the patrons every time. Highly recommended was the bed and room - I had restful sleep every night. The room was quiet too. Housekeeping was commendable. The housekeeping sister was friendly and made sure supplies were restocked n room cleaned. Checked out the gym - a relatively new and well equipped gym, with trainers/ instructors. The equipment are clean n new. Well appointed gym! Being just right above the metro station makes moving around so convenient, to the 三坊七巷 or to 世欧广场- both just 1 station away. One area which I noticed was that cab drivers do not seem to realise that they could drive into the hotel porch to pick/ drop off passengers. Perhaps some signages cld help the driver to understand that they could drive pass the gantry to get to the sheltered porch area to pick up/drop off passengers, especially during raining days. Thank you Ms Jojo and her colleagues for making my stay exceptional warm and a pleasure. Will definitely consider the hotel again if I’m back Fuzhou again.

First off, the hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's right next to Sangu Street, and the back exit leads directly to the Chongyang Stream promenade. Step out the front door, and you're spoiled for choice with numerous restaurants. The famous taro cake shop is also tucked away in an alley nearby. Getting to both the North and South entrances of Wuyi Mountain is easy – basically, it's convenient for everything. The hotel has been open for five years, and the facilities are remarkably well-maintained. The moment you walk in, it still feels impressive. The bathroom and shower in the room were clean, and I appreciated the thoughtful addition of a dressing table. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the service. What stood out most were the buggy drivers. Since the hotel requires buggy transfers internally, you encounter different drivers. Some drivers will tell you all about Wuyi Mountain's tea varieties, others will introduce you to the diverse array of small animals on the property. One driver, knowing we were headed to Sangu Street, even went out of his way to drop us off at the furthest South Gate and gave us detailed instructions on how to call a car back – incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming. The hotel's guest services department proactively asked if we needed assistance and promptly helped resolve any issues. All in all, I was very satisfied with this stay and will definitely choose Chunbo again on my next trip to Wuyi Mountain.

Overall a really good stay in an old historical building, a great experience you won't get anywhere else! A butler service is included when you check in and out, where they help you pull your luggages to and fro your taxi location. The place itself is clean and cozy, and very close by to multiple food and souvenir shops! Secondly, the breakfast is beautiful and splendid! The service is really good as well, as we have to check out early on the last day, the staff also packed breakfast for us to eat on the way to the airport. And also always accomodating to our requests (like getting more bottled water, etc haha). The hotel package also includes free tea tasting and dressing up in traditional wear (which my family did not do but I wish we did!) Lastly, there is laundry service (wash and dry), but it does take a bit of time (eg: clothes are mostly done only after 8pm even if we place the clothes out around 8-9am). Maybe one thing is to let us know the estimated time it will be done ^^. But overall, I love the stay, breakfast, the kind staff, the beautiful accommodation and the hotel cat, xiaoxi!!

Excellent transit stay near Fuzhou Changle Airport! The apartment is spacious, clean, and offers a lovely sea view. The owner provides free airport pickup/drop-off and was very friendly – he even dropped us at Wanshou subway when available (ask in advance). Located just a 5-minute walk from a beach, with a few small restaurants and a mini-mart nearby, perfect for breakfast. Highly convenient for an overnight airport stop.”

The room was spacious, bright, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast offered a rich and varied selection, always catering to different tastes. The service was attentive, meticulous, and prompt. The hotel seems to have been around for a while, as there were noticeable signs of wear and tear on the floors and in the bathroom. My biggest complaint, however, was the air conditioning; even set to 16 degrees Celsius, it was still so warm that it woke me up. Also, I couldn't understand why the light and AC switches were scattered all over the room – it felt very disorganized.

A very satisfying stay! The lobby is spacious and bright, and they even show cartoons for kids. The hotel's cheese service was very thoughtful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Parking is free, and they kindly offered a late check-out for my room. The facilities are comprehensive, and the bed is very comfortable. They also offer a free airport shuttle service, making it super convenient for travel. Highly recommend! They provided tools for digging in the sand at the beach, which the kids loved, and breakfast was excellent. Although I didn't use the swimming pool, the shallowest part is 0.9m, so it's suitable for children.
