I don't usually leave reviews, but the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong truly deserves one. The hotel's convenient location is a given. We stayed here for three days, and the attentive service truly left a lasting impression. The front desk staff who handled our check-in were incredibly warm and welcoming. Upon seeing we had a child, they proactively offered a small gift and thoughtfully asked if we needed an extra bed. Every time we stepped out, the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile, which always started our day on a positive note. The room was also impeccably tidy, with even our charging cables neatly coiled. Our child left an umbrella in the lobby, and a male staff member from lost and found patiently spent over ten minutes helping us look for it, for which I felt quite apologetic. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, with high-quality ingredients. As we were leaving, our child said they definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Hong Kong.

The room was very spacious. We had booked a triple room, but the hotel kindly offered a complimentary upgrade to a quad room. For 837 RMB per night, this also included three buffet breakfasts. The breakfast buffet provided a good variety of options. There's a swimming pool located next to the restaurant, which makes for a pleasant setting. For a hotel in Hong Kong, it offers excellent value for money. Its proximity to Sha Tin MTR station makes getting around very convenient, and there's even a bus stop right downstairs.

Unfortunately, I always seem to get insect bites whenever I stay at this hotel, and this visit was no exception. The newer hotel tower offers genuinely beautiful and pleasant views. Check-out is half an hour earlier than standard. Citing their policy of not providing single-use plastic-packaged amenities, they don't offer a shower cap or toothbrush (though slippers are available). Bottled water also isn't provided and must be purchased. Overall, I'd say just try to enjoy your stay and don't pay too much attention to the staff's attitude. Given the value for money, it's still somewhat worthwhile!

Facilities: All facilities were very convenient, making for a comfortable stay. The lobby desserts were delicious and affordable. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: Very good. Service: The front desk staff were excellent; they didn't require a deposit and spoke excellent Mandarin. I even forgot to bring cash, and the bellhop kindly paid for my taxi fare, which saved me from an awkward situation. I wasn't sure if the Executive Suite included Executive Lounge access, but since our other room did, the front desk kindly arranged for both rooms to have Executive Lounge access. After returning home, my mom accidentally took one of the room key cards with her. I hope it's not an issue.

Excellent hotel for families, work or solo travellers! We stayed at Club room and all employees there were so welcoming and polite. During typhoon Ragasa they managed everything in such an orderly manner that, apart of noise from the wind, we didn’t feel any impact on the level of service at all.

Having enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen two days prior to my arrival in Hong Kong, I naturally gravitated towards a Shangri-La property, choosing the Kerry Hotel. The hotel boasts a grand lobby, and for enhanced security, access to guest floors requires a key card. The cleanliness throughout was also exceptional. I booked a double sea-view room, and its floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct, panoramic views of the entire Victoria Harbour. Just below the hotel is a beautiful waterfront promenade, perfect for a leisurely stroll to the Avenue of Stars and K11, both within a mere 2-kilometer walk. The lobby service was superb, completely shattering the stereotype of cold, impersonal service often associated with Hong Kong hotels. Restaurants are conveniently located just off the lobby corridor, with prices comparable to external establishments, not inflated. Unfortunately, I had only booked for one night and was unable to extend my stay as there were no rooms available. The next day, I moved to a nearby Bay Apartment Hotel, which simply couldn't compare to the Kerry. That hotel only changed its bedsheets every three days – absolutely disgusting! And its room rate was only HKD 300 less than the Kerry. Seriously, avoid that place!

The room was decent and offered a partial sea view. My only minor complaints were the low floor (4th) and the noise from the adjacent restaurant. Check-in and check-out weren't very smooth, and surprisingly, no complimentary bottled water was provided in the room. On the plus side, the shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable experience. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the subway station, but it's very conveniently located for shopping malls and local attractions. If the price is right, I would definitely consider staying here again!

This is an older hotel. Taikoo Place is conveniently located downstairs, offering a few decent restaurants, making it easy to dine out or buy fruits and snacks from the supermarket. The room amenities were quite basic, on par with a decent 3 or 4-star hotel in a major Chinese city. The furnishings were dated; the fabric sofa had old stains, and the glass coffee table was wobbly. The only redeeming quality was the room's view (I was on the 42nd floor, so I can't speak for other floors). The hygiene has also declined from what it used to be. It seems the staff cuts corners whenever possible. The duvet cover likely wasn't changed before our check-in. On the day we checked in, my child immediately jumped onto the bed to play, and when they flipped over the duvet, we discovered bloodstains inside. Fortunately, my child saw it and called it out, as no adult would typically think to check the inside of a duvet cover. A manager came with someone, took photos, replaced the duvet, and then left without another word. We stayed for 7 nights. On the first day, there was a shower cap in the bathroom, but from the second day onwards, only hair ties were provided. I was too lazy to call room service and just made do. On another day, the trash wasn't collected. The following day, I had to place the bin in the middle of the room for them to finally collect it. At check-out, the front desk staff apologized for the bloodstains on the duvet and asked me to wait. She then turned, went into a room behind her, came out, and said the manager wanted to apologize in person but wasn't available, offering two biscuits as an apology... This attitude is truly telling, isn't it? Is this typical service here? They couldn't even offer a heartfelt apology. Perhaps subconsciously, they just view tourists as easy targets for exploitation? I was originally quite tolerant and hadn't even intended to bring up the bloody bedding incident. However, that bizarre gesture of offering two biscuits at check-out truly infuriated me. Did they feel obliged to address it to save face, even if half-heartedly? That's why I'm leaving this review, so others can be aware of the current standards of this hotel. And just a side note about the food at Taikoo Place restaurants: I hope the hotel doesn't think their biscuits are five-star quality. Neither I nor my child even like biscuits.

AAnonymous UserLong queue at Reception as super typhoon had caused a lot of flight cancellation. The front office staff, Jess, was very efficient and handled my check-in smoothly. Haven't stayed at this hotel for nearly 15 years. Room fixtures were worn out. Attached picture shows the condition of the bath tub faucet. No free bottled water was provided. Guest needs to boil their own water. Free tooth brush was provided, but no shower cap at all. If not I needed to catch an early flight the next morning, don't think I would stay here.

CcakesupermanHands down the best hotel in Hong Kong, I absolutely adored it! I've stayed at three different hotels here, and this one truly shines with its incredible panoramic night views of the city, which my child and partner both loved. The hotel even surprised me for my birthday with lovely wishes and a delicious complimentary cake – it was fantastic! The free minibar was seriously impressive, stocked with about 20 drinks and various snacks, all on the house. Our room was very spacious, and the service was top-notch. The front desk manager was especially warm and welcoming. This is a perfect 10 out of 10 hotel; I'll definitely be back here on my next trip to Hong Kong. Shout-out to Trip.com for a smooth booking!
