"The hotel is located in the centre of the Val d'Orcia. Montalcino is located up to the centre and has a beautiful view. Very relaxing. Excellent service at both the reception and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The kitchen is also available for cooking. We have dined at the restaurant of the structure, a perfect service, the only thing is the menu. We have eaten everything but found excess acidity in the dishes, and we think it can be useful to balance the taste of the dishes but without exceeding it. Almost all the dishes were very acid, if it's a taste that doesn't like, the client may not eat anything. My advice is: on 7 you may be bringing a couple of dishes with this taste and others with different tastes"

Mh Florence Hotel & Spa

This hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees. While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb. The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful. A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay. The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

The service is very good, very clean and tidy, the doorman is very enthusiastic, and greets you every time you go in and out~ The room is clean and the bathroom is large, the location is good, and the pasta in the restaurant opposite is delicious. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, but you can only go up from one elevator. The other elevator goes to the suite on the 6th floor~ I didn't meet other people on the terrace, it was quiet and comfortable

Service was ok except for the kinda ****** head waiter/uncle at the restaurant during buffet service. He is always free for anyone else except for us Asians, it’s always “a moment please” even though he’s not busy.Apart from that, everything was good. The room was spacious, there’s even a separate room to store luggage. They also had a complimentary local snack which is yummy, towels are divided into blue and pink which is cute. However, the sewage system isn’t very efficient. Water pools up when you take a slightly longer shower so I did not dare wash my hair during the stay there. Although it doesn’t seem like it’s huge from the outside, it certainly is on the inside and very vintage. Didn’t get to try the jacuzzi system though. Spa service is also available. A harp player plays daily from 6pm to 8pm. We had a day tour which starts early too so they have a service which lets you take away your breakfast.

The decor is like a guesthouse from the 1990s, but the price is like a five-star hotel. The location is excellent, behind the Bargello Museum, and within a 10-minute walk of any attraction. However, it's very old and shabby, and the shampoo and conditioner are terrible.

The room was a bit basic, like a budget hotel in China. I booked a single room and the bed was only 80 cm wide. It was quiet though, and had a small balcony. The air conditioning/heating was too dry and couldn't be adjusted, so my throat was really dry at night and I had to get up for water. The bathroom fan was very loud, so I had to turn it off. For over a thousand (presumably currency units) without breakfast, it felt really expensive for this standard. But I guess everything near tourist attractions in Florence is pricey. It's about a 20-minute bus ride or 35-minute walk to the sights. I'd generally recommend staying closer to the Duomo to save time, as the price difference isn't huge. Do note that some B&Bs don't have elevators, which can be tough with a lot of luggage. This place, however, does have one.

We stayed here for one night with breakfast included. The room was very spacious, truly beautiful, and quiet despite the nearby road. The structure is massive and has so much potential, though perhaps not fully realized. The thermal pools are excellent; it's a shame the outdoor pool was a little warm and therefore unusable. We enjoyed the relaxing massage, which was excellent! We had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious and comprehensive. Breakfast was very pleasant. The staff were all young and talented. The only downside is that check-in is at 3 PM, so if you arrive in the morning, you'll have to pay a supplement to use the spa. Perhaps it would have been better to be transparent and disclose this on the website. Overall, a great find.

I booked total 14 days for a same room, I just request make up room services 2 times only, that why my room face tissue and toilet tissue use finished, so I ask for more 2 boxes face tissue and 2 rolls toilet tissue, but a male room service staff don’t give and say need exchange one box face tissues for one roll toilet tissue and then I walk in complain this case with reception female staff, finally she give me back 2 rolls toilet tissue, but her attitude so bad sit say me wrong use words describe toilet tissue only, may I ask all room customer if case like this make sense or not? Original I gave them full mark comment for this hotel, now I trade back my original comment and give them lower mark comment first until after 2 days when I leave this hotel and they do back good attitude and improve for their service and then I will give back them good comments! I am very easy handle person just say actually things only!

The best hotel we have stayed at. Its quiet luxury in terms of service - the hotel staff at all levels are down to earth and treat everyone equally and kindly and their service does leave you wanting for anything. It was worth every dollar. Paul, their head concierge, is beyond exceptional. Provided a lot of help with day trips and recommendations that we took and loved. They even helped with a car rental that was dropped and picked up at the hotel. And Paul also came and picked us up when the taxis were on strike for a night (so kind). The rooms are immaculate and extremely clean. They are beautifully decorated and spacious. The library is a cozy place to eat breakfast and read or have a quiet moment to yourself. and the grounds are beautifully kept. We also went during their shoulder season so it was quieter - not sure what summer might be like there I hope to definitely go back there.

We stayed at this place for the 2nd time (first time was right before the pandemic) and I should say that the hotel successfully keeps up to its standards. Rooms are clean and spacious, with almost everything you may need (except the iron). The SPA area is fine, but better go there around noon before the new wave of the guests arrives. Breakfasts are superb with a wide choice of hot dishes, pastry and drinks. That is really a great choice for Italy I'd say (sorry, Italy))) The hotel territory is well kept. The sandy beach is right across the road. The only minor thing which was a bit disturbing was the lack of toiletries. Nail kits, sewing kits and other things used to be available without any requests. Now you get the very basics and have to call if you need some extra. That's absolutely fine but.. feels like ”let's cut the cost” sign :) But anyway, I loved the stay and will def be back some time.
